Overview

Synopsis

Trouble at school lands teenaged Elliot at a hospice for the summer where she must befriend six terminally ill patients.

Throughout her time there, Elliot forms an unlikely bond with Mitch, an 80-year-old intellectual with OCD and also begins an unlikely friendship with Oliver, the school drug dealer responsible for getting her in trouble.

With these new and fragile relationships, Elliot is forced to confront the reason behind her disorder as well as her issues with human connection, intimacy and, ultimately, her fear of death.

I like the visuals with the metronome, the dripping water, the chaotic running stream, a good picture of what deteriorating mental health can be like. The girl is not that convincing to me but this is just a small glimps of what you are trying to communicate. Mental health is such a big issue and I'm glad to see a film tackling this issue.

I like the topic. But I don't understand - is this really classified as a comedy?

I love the camera shots, angles, and objects chosen here. I feel like the film will make a great attempt to capture what the narration speaks of - the ongoing question: does one person make a difference in our ongoing hectic world?
