I really enjoyed the dreaming to water analogy. they have a similar feel and it makes me wonder where it will go next
Scott C. Posted 5 months ago
I like the silent sequence in the pool. Good story telling and great expressions on the actress. good job!
Howard A. Posted 5 months ago
I enjoyed seeing a project featuring a woman in the lead. Too many of the projects are testosterone heavy :)
Chloe V. Posted 5 months ago
Very mysterious ... Makes me wonder why she is dreaming about this. Very intriguing. And the cinematography is very good.
Luke M. Posted 5 months ago
I don't know if they knew each other but I can imagine that he's the weird ex that's lost his shit. Things are going to get bad here!
Annabelle H. Posted 5 months ago
I like seeing such a strong female presence. And I also enjoy how the cinematography tells most of this story.
Milan S. Posted 5 months ago
Well done you guys. I really like the pool shot and colouring. Good acting as well. Sorry you did not make it further
Lisa B. Posted 5 months ago
I really like the shots of the reflections of the shadow off of the water. I also like interesting dynamic between the two characters.
Adrian R. Posted 6 months ago
It is an intriguing opening scene for the film. I especially like the way it was shot, though the lighting was a little weak.
Cathy J. Posted 6 months ago
I liked this sequence and it leaves me asking more questions, which is a good thing. The water shot is great and tells the story nicely. Well done!
Matt T. Posted 6 months ago
This looks like a strong wind coming in from the east, like cherry blossoms falling from the sky in thunderous volume.
Ashley C. Posted 6 months ago
This project has a very interesting concept. I really hope to see it come to fruition. Strong female lead is always something i look for. This mission was well put together.
TJ H. Posted 6 months ago
That image of the girl in the pool with running make up really sticks with me for some reason, great use of reflections as well.
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
LIKE THE WATER
Milan S. Posted 6 months ago
I like this speechless sequence..the water shot is great and it really tells the story quite well. Well done guys!
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
YEP
Kelly B. Posted 6 months ago
I could tell she was dreaming. Call me weird but it seemed her eye makeup changed throughout each shot to this one. Did it? What is he jumpin in for? I wanted more crisp images when she's sleeping. What was moving under the covers? Confusing but yes, has potential!!
Bob J. Posted 6 months ago
Could be good but looks to be about the caliber of a college production. There's still potential, it certainly pulled of the atmosphere.
Seycove D. Posted 6 months ago
this could be a cool concept but it just doesnt grasp my attention as much as some of the other ones. but good luck!
Maddi M. Posted 6 months ago
not sure how i felt about this. i meant it was good but i wouldn't necessarily watch this as a movie.
Sabrina S. Posted 6 months ago
Little confused as to whats going on here? found it a little hard tofallow. It was nicley filmed though.
Donal O. Posted 6 months ago
So Now I want to see more. Isn't that the most important part of being a filmmaker? Leaving the audience wanting more.
Alan N. Posted 6 months ago
suicidal thoughts?
Kimberly M. Posted 6 months ago
i cant say this is personally my favorite one. im not saying its bad its just not something i would personally go out of my way to watch
Elizabeth S. Posted 6 months ago
Very creepy air, and interesting shots. Sound effects were great, just hearing the breath really added to the scene.
Melanie O. Posted 6 months ago
I don't follow what is happening here and what you are trying to tell us. I think something was missed or I am missing it, not sure. Lighting not great but I see how you tried
Daniella M. Posted 6 months ago
This didn't make any sense to me, but it was creepy, creepy, creepy to watch. Interesting shot choices as well!
Lydia M. Posted 7 months ago
i get that this is a setup scene to introduce the film but it played out quite boring and didn't tell us anything about the story. a pool dream? cool i guess.
Adrian B. Posted 7 months ago
Couldn't really follow this. Didnt really give anything to work with. Shooting in a pool is pretty cool though
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
It looked cool but over all I think I missed the point. I think the viewer needs more info, but either way i like the vid and keep up the good work!
Renee D. Posted 7 months ago
Not sure what's going on, I need more info sooner! Maybe more music to create the mood. Like the camera work on the water shot.
Jacki R. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting. It was difficult to see the girl in her bed. Lighting wasn't great, but I do want to see more.
Joe B. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done, the scenery is really cool until it widens up and you see all the trees cut down. It's very sad, but I would love to see the final product of this Doc.
John B. Posted 7 months ago
Nice shot with the reflection in the water, the shot of the girl in the bed was a bit 'starchy'... Looked like she was acting hard
Louise M. Posted 7 months ago
ooh, I am curious about this one now!
Anne S. Posted 7 months ago
With a nice budget you guys could do something really good. I hope you get it!
Tara Y. Posted 7 months ago
Fairly interesting. I enjoyed the scene and felt like I understood the story. Overall the cinematography and production value needs work but with money I'm sure you'll do great
Keldon S. Posted 7 months ago
I'm enjoying the roll out of this project.
penny T. Posted 7 months ago
This one had me wondering. Character appears to be dreaming and although intense stare happening in pool, did not really feel or see expression of any panic. The intensity of the moment/ scene was not there for me. I'd be interested in seeing more to see if there is a build up to this scene.
Geoff W. Posted 7 months ago
Her gaze is compelling; so compelling that I found myself wishing that you'd centred on it and used it to structure the scene more "symmetrically"... travelling camera leading the feet, camera behind the head of the man approaching, camera creeping in towards her... all symmetrically, that would have been awesome. Also, it really took me out of the story that her bedsheets were neon. And the guy did not look threatening at all, either because of the way he was styled or filmed. Pretty sure you can make vanilla-good-looking people look threatening / foreboding too, especially around pools; for instance these guys: https://vimeo.com/24054995 Looking forward to seeing more though! She has an intriguing thing about her.
Peter M. Posted 7 months ago
This Speechless really builds suspense, great job guys :)
Nina F. Posted 7 months ago
I like this sequence. At first i did't know it was a dream, then it happened. I like the B.G. It worked. It created tension.
Patrick C. Posted 7 months ago
I am a fan of this film so I hope it progresses to the next round. I was not sure if this was a dream sequence or not. It could have been more subtle. and I was not a fan of her starring at the camera. You mixed her starring at the camera with starring intensely in the distance, which gives two different emotions in the viewer. Keep going and hoping you guys keep improving and move into the next stage.
Walter H. Posted 7 months ago
Tense scene. The water adds a lot to any scene.
Jo B. Posted 7 months ago
This is a great scene! I want to know more! Looking forward to seeing this film!
Monique L. Posted 7 months ago
Very interesting scene. The sound design kept me interested. It was a little on the short side though.
Jolene S. Posted 7 months ago
I liked it! I am hoping to see more so that I can figure out the significance of the young man, but the dream sequence is captivating.
Fraser C. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting. I would watch that again and share it with friends, good job! Short and simple and captivating.
Christine W. Posted 7 months ago
Had more questions than answers after watching this. Will need to back and check the trailer to get a sense of whet's happening.
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice looking scene. I look forward to learning more about the story and the characters. Keep up the good work
Gavin M. Posted 7 months ago
Panic and SWIM, AMIRITE?! I like the work, but I think it would have been better if this were a standalone narrative, as opposed to an out-of-context scene.
Artjom G. Posted 7 months ago
nice shots. didn't quite get the story yet
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with most posts below, I want to know more now after watching that scene. I will go back and watch the rest of your videos again.
Gertray D. Posted 7 months ago
In had me wanting more but at the same time told me nothing. The trailer worked compared to tis scene.
david p. Posted 7 months ago
Great job loved how the scene played out leaving the audience on a gripping end I want to see more and that's what this was all about
Jane M. Posted 7 months ago
What is the significance of the young man? What does he do after he jumps in the water? Does he attack her or is she just afraid to be attracted to him?
Super A. Posted 7 months ago
I like what you guys did with this mission. Beautifully shot, especially the pool scenes. I am curious about where this will go
Sam J. Posted 7 months ago
I am scared of all water scenes and girls with running makeup are unsettling. So this wins big for creep factor.
Greg B. Posted 7 months ago
moody and perfect.
Sarah L. Posted 7 months ago
this was shot well...moody and suspenseful. leaving the audience asking what is going to happen next. Good Job !
Katelyn J. Posted 7 months ago
Oh, this looks intense! Definitely draws me in and makes me want to learn more about the characters. Looks a lot more interesting than some of the other films!
Rick A. Posted 7 months ago
I found this one interesting. It did make me want to know more about the film itself, but I wasn't crazy about the scoring.
Jexx M. Posted 7 months ago
I thought it was pretty creative and I am intrigued to learn more about the film as the weeks/missions continue!
Andrea S. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting. Makes me want to know what happens later in the story. Well shot, especially the pool scene. I like the actresses expression in her eyes. Lucky you you already had the footage and did not have to shoot another sequence!
Carley S. Posted 7 months ago
We shot this last Sunday. None of this film has been officially shot yet :)
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
great camera work. I really liked some of the shots and angles. I also like how you kept the sound simple.
Cory M. Posted 7 months ago
I am also confused about what the story might be. But tantalized as well. I liked the editing - you did a great job of communicating what was going on while she was dreaming.
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
From what I've seen in the trailer and now this sequence, it makes me think that "water" will play a huge role as a metaphor of some sort. May be I'm totally off but then this scene hardly tells us anything about the narrative. Looking forward to seeing more from your team. Good job guys!
Patti D. Posted 7 months ago
Nightmare. Insight into her nightmare? A guy jumps in a pool. Is this a memory? It doesn't tell a story (yet) but it does make me curious.
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
You've certainly got some great talent here, I was just left a little confused as to how this related back to your story. I also found some of the scenes a little too dark to really be able to see what was going on.
Cathie S. Posted 7 months ago
Wow...this was great and I wanted to see more..is it a dream or a memory? Who is the guy? Why the pool? Awesome job!
Giovanna G. Posted 7 months ago
Beautifully shot, great work with the visual as well as the sound edit! I can't wait to see more! Amazing team work!
Chris N. Posted 7 months ago
I take it the pool is a dream sequence? I'm intrigued about the girls relationship with the guy, and what the water means.
Jennifer M. Posted 7 months ago
I'm intrigued! I want to find out more about their relationship. Why is he showing up in her dreams? How is the pool significant? Great work!
Wendy S. Posted 7 months ago
Really effective use of sound and echo as well as the reflection in the water. The mood is set....... feeling her fear/unease! Can't wait to see more!
Kevin O. Posted 7 months ago
At the risk of messing up your concept I almost wanted to see her pop her head out of the water slower, like Apocalypse Now slow.....
Richmain Y. Posted 7 months ago
beautiful mix of sounds, i found it perfect with the water and splashing and whatever else was used really lent a hand to bringing the clips together.
Jane M. Posted 7 months ago
Leaves you with ore questions for sure. The twitching in her sleep is realistic
Drew R. Posted 7 months ago
The silence is as powerful as the echo and reverse echo base hits chords that shock you back in to reality from your imagination of where the story is taking you.
Lianna W. Posted 7 months ago
Really lovely photography but what is compelling here that wants to bring me back? Not sure. What is she dreaming and why? Lots of unanswered questions but non the less intruiging.
Amanda B. Posted 7 months ago
Cool.
Jason G. Posted 7 months ago
I really liked this! Great pool setting, looking forward to this cutie's story. My only constructive criticism comment is that the hand movements during the sleep looked forced. Tough to pull off and make it look great. I'm looking forward to watching progress on this one!
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
Cool pool dreams. I would love to find out what is going to happen in the next dream. Maybe a couple laps?
LeeAnn D. Posted 7 months ago
The scene was set up well with the "dream" seguay...accuracy of details is important as in was the morning? It was pretty dark...clearly you demonstrated she is troubled.. Good job
Natalie B. Posted 7 months ago
Was it 5:45 in the morning or the evening? Either way, I think it's late for her dream to just be starting, so she must have trouble sleeping. Makes me want to know why. Very good.
Stephanie M. Posted 7 months ago
The clip really makes you wonder what's going on in this story, what's going to happen next, and what the significance of the dream and the people involved in the dream is in relation to the movie. This was a great video. Looking forward to watching more.
Dianna D. Posted 7 months ago
Love this scene. The acting is so good, the way it is shot and the loneliness of the pool portray Elliot's fear so well.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Great job!!! Shot phenomenally! I think the acting is really solid and the whole thing is quite intense! team - PA
justin H. Posted 7 months ago
Its cool that you guys took and made this as the first scene, its cool because everyone else made a "trailer" type video. It leaves you waiting to watch the rest!
Kristy M. Posted 7 months ago
Love this clip! fantastic job, very intense. I can't wait to see the rest. Keep up the great work! :) x
Fernanda P. Posted 7 months ago
I enjoyed the scene but I think that you needed more time to tell the audience what's coming after.
Ellyse M. Posted 7 months ago
Can't wait to see the rest . . . !!
Kris J. Posted 7 months ago
Very moody scene. Really well done :)
Fernanda P. Posted 7 months ago
I enjoyed the scene.
Nicole H. Posted 7 months ago
I found the girl in the video very cute, and she was acting scared, so I was waiting to get what was happening. I found that I was unsure . I loved the way it was filmed but I didn't quite get the point.
