Looking forward to seeing more. Think you guys can do a lot with this story line and have a lot of fun doing so. Best of luck.
Raj S. Posted 5 months ago
Really good production value. You managed to get your point across without speech. Would have been great to have seen some novel shots!
Michael V. Posted 5 months ago
Great cinematography but I would've liked to see more other than just what was in the trailer. But I totally get that you couldn't just drive down to LA and shoot again!
Andrew O. Posted 5 months ago
Great cinematography in this mission. Although nothing was said, your pictures were worth a thousand words.
David R. Posted 5 months ago
This was really cool, but I just wish it wasnt just shots from your trailer!!! If you filmed in Canada it would been easier. Drumheller badlands anyone?
Serena L. Posted 5 months ago
This looks great, but very similar to your trailer - that isn't a huge surprise though, since you couldn't drive down to LA again to shoot!
Doug M. Posted 5 months ago
I loved this clip, the music was great and the scenery in the background was stunning. I look forward to seeing the entire film!
Ann G. Posted 5 months ago
I really enjoyed the way you shot this mission. This film will look good on the big screen one day.
Bart G. Posted 5 months ago
Wow, your cinematography is incredible. This movie is absolutely stunning. Where did you shoot? That's a pretty bleak and beautiful place, all at once
Marly V. Posted 5 months ago
Very awesome locations. The production value is through the roof. I am so impressed with the costumes.
Mary L. Posted 5 months ago
Like costumes in Game of Thrones! Is that person for real or a mirage or a ghost? Let's go with the mirage or ghost who sees the future and can help shape their destiny.
Zombetty B. Posted 6 months ago
Looking forward to seeing more on this one. I really like Apocalypse themes and I think shooting in the desert was an excellent choice.
Lily K. Posted 6 months ago
This is another great looking mission from this team. I enjoyed the look again - I guess this was footage from your initial shoot - but it works great!
Christopher K. Posted 6 months ago
The cinematography was really beautiful in this scene. I also really liked the ending when she sees the other person.
Nate J. Posted 6 months ago
After mankind was obliterated our hero decides to go for a walk through the desert in her winter jacket. After a gripping encounter with a vandalized wall she happens upon a gentleman using an Ipad..
Melissa W. Posted 6 months ago
I usually really hate apocalypse type films. They just aren't my cup of tea. The crazy thing about this one? I loved it by the end of the trailer and the team keeps proving to me, with every mission, that I SHOULD feel that way. This movie almost seems less about the apocalypse and more about exploring our humanity and the struggles of it. Amazing work guys.
Alejandro P. Posted 6 months ago
Great concept I like how the idea is transmitted on the video, the actors where great and could understand the concept from the beginning, the angles helped me a lot to get immersed into the plot, and get to understand the feeling that is supposed to be in every moment. Great job!
Lindsey D. Posted 6 months ago
Gorgeous scenery! Really liked your mission video. Captured my attention throughout. I look forward to seeing more!
Dennis H. Posted 6 months ago
Watching your Mission 4 video has left me “Speechless”! Can’t wait to see what else this film has in store!
Gael M. Posted 6 months ago
Wow. This film looks beautiful. Very wonderfully shot and full of tension. This is a wonderful film.
Tawnya T. Posted 6 months ago
very simple, the scenery is the best part of this as I feel like I have been dropped in to Planet of the Apes or something....repeat ;o(
Wojciech N. Posted 6 months ago
Everything about this is well done. The music, the actors, the wardrobe and the location. Great camera angles
manon c. Posted 6 months ago
Most of the actors are okay in this and I like the music, Not really into the film itself as too many like this out there like this...Red Dawn??
Mitch A. Posted 6 months ago
I really like the way you shot this. Between the wardrobe, location and music, you really set the tone for the film.
Kyle F. Posted 6 months ago
This is nice because it features a female lead, you don't see that too often anymore. I think it would be better if it was more attention grabbing though. Other then that it looks good!
Astra L. Posted 6 months ago
Very enjoyable video! Great cinematography and I really like the costumes, the cliffhanger ending was very interesting too!
Kate G. Posted 6 months ago
Really like the looks of this film! Looking forward to seeing more. Wishing you and your team the best of luck!
Jonah G. Posted 6 months ago
Great job on this video. The wardrobe and the use of a location separates you from the pack. Good luck.
Dean S. Posted 6 months ago
You really put huge efforts into making your stuff look good and that's definitely one of the reasons you're up there. Good work!
Tory A. Posted 6 months ago
Costumes...awesome! Location...great! This doesn't really make me feel anything very strongly though. Maybe a different choice of music could help?!
Lukee W. Posted 6 months ago
The costumes, in my opinion are the best thing about this. The film itself reminds me of a remake of The Road, which may be a compliment but it is already done :o)
Zach H. Posted 6 months ago
Overall this has solid production value. I would completely use these costumes and locations if you make this movie.
Kevin L. Posted 6 months ago
Nice way to build us all up with great visuals and sound and then leave us... hanging! But seriously looks great!
Alvin D. Posted 6 months ago
Good job guys. Loved the sound design and shots used to create some suspense. You deserve Top 10 for sure!
Joann K. Posted 6 months ago
Is this all the same footage? I Appreciate you worked hard on it but new footage would have made the difference for me
Mike T. Posted 6 months ago
your movie quality looks great and i like the whole premiss of this movie. cant wait toi see more of it
Michael I. Posted 6 months ago
Nice job on this despite seemingly not having any new footage. I am definitely impressed by your visuals and editing.
George D. Posted 6 months ago
You guys definitely have an eye, and I think your performances in this and your trailer are also quite good (even if this is not as much of a showcase for it)
Dug R. Posted 6 months ago
I like this sequence. Visually you have some really great compositions The reveal at the end is a well constructed surprise.
Ken N. Posted 6 months ago
I like how you worked "post" into the name of your show. Like you was knowing that CineCoup was gonna get you to do some post things on your movie. Cute! (do people get sarcasm, or is this just coming off as rude? Let me put it another way: I like!) werd
Madelyn R. Posted 6 months ago
I feel like you could have done more with this mission. Beautiful cinematography though and quite outstanding locations
Vincent B. Posted 6 months ago
Though I think you've pulled most of this from the cutting room floor, it does still nicely showcase your lead and locations photography.
Siluck S. Posted 6 months ago
This looks great. Very powerful images and an intriguing story for sure. Looking forward too seeing much more!
mark m. Posted 6 months ago
This was a bit of a slow starter for me, but I guess the challenge was getting out to the location again. Nevertheless you did convey the disorientation and beauty of the location well again.
Jack W. Posted 6 months ago
First of all, amazing visuals. I guess going on location like that really makes a big difference. Cool.
Joe M. Posted 6 months ago
I love this. Reminiscent of 68's Planet Of the Apes:)
Andrew C. Posted 6 months ago
In addition to a great video, I also like the supporting pictures you always include. Nice to see who else is making this movie with you.
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
love to see more
Huaguang S. Posted 6 months ago
Great cinematography in a beautiful location. Agree with another comment, being in the wastelands, Molly should be very dirty and raggy.
Zaid L. Posted 6 months ago
I like your cinematography, I would have like to see more as it left with a feeling of being cut off with such an abrupt ending. Great use of music and scene play to create suspense/tension. Hope to see more from your team!
Sarah W. Posted 6 months ago
Still love your cinematography work but would've liked to see more than the trailer. But with the filming location it's understandable!
Melanie O. Posted 6 months ago
Panned out the scene too quickly, the original view was best. Music needs a little work, but the costumes are great. It ended too abruptly
Tah the T. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with several of the previous commenters—it was executed very well in terms of suspense, both in the video and the music, but it felt like it cut before it really ended.
Lindsay F. Posted 7 months ago
I really enjoyed the suspense that the ending created. I also love how professional this scene looks!
Bruce E. Posted 7 months ago
Great cinematography. You did a nice job of creating suspense through the use of music but would have liked to have seen a bit more of the scene ie. the reaction to having a bow drawn and aimed at the seated character... The scene seemed short and incomplete.
Tina K. Posted 7 months ago
love love love love love love this. so awesome. you guys are the best! I'm the number 1 fan at heart!
Tony B. Posted 7 months ago
Good job guys. This along with everything else you do is shot really well. And very suspenseful music.
charlie e. Posted 7 months ago
Looooved this. The music built the perfect amount of suspense and the location was amazing. I can't wait to see more.
Ann B. Posted 7 months ago
wow, so beautiful - what an amazing location, beautifully shot - one very tiny quibble-molly's way too clean
Brandon G. Posted 7 months ago
This video is really good, I watched it a few days ago and then again today and it gets better when you watch it again.
Adrian B. Posted 7 months ago
Such an epic looking movie, what an awesome backdrop. Great shots and suspenseful. Well done to everyone in this one.
Monika T. Posted 7 months ago
Nice boys :) really good job on this video. I love the music and the landscapes are beautiful. Love it!
Martin N. Posted 7 months ago
Fantastic photography, loved the music! You got a sense of the isolation, the fear and the determination!
Martha P. Posted 7 months ago
Loved this! The music was fantastic! Loved the way it built the tension. Molly is one powerful chick!
Layla C. Posted 7 months ago
Very simple but powerful scene. The music is definitely what gives it it's intensity. Good luck in getting to the Top40
Knighten R. Posted 7 months ago
Love the costumes!
Raine W. Posted 7 months ago
Dillon you did an excellent job creating the music and the feel for this video. Obviously cinematography is great too.
Anna T. Posted 7 months ago
Very nice work boys. I'm very proud of you all. I can't wait for you to win this competition and make the movie :)
Rysiek C. Posted 7 months ago
Job well done on this week's mission. You've proven to be a talented bunch of film makers. Looking forward to the next one.
Alexandra B. Posted 7 months ago
Great score here, sounds building tension gives it a real desolate feeling, which I believe is what you were going for, and if it wasn't intentional, WRITE THAT DOWN! lol. Great job boys.
Sandy P. Posted 7 months ago
The tension here is great, It's almost "too" silent but pulled off quite respectfully well. I'm about this, infact, I've been about everything this groups done, I actually look forward weekly to seeing your new missions, I'm amped for Monday night to see whats been cooked up this week.
Anthony N. Posted 7 months ago
I thought they used the trailer and just edited to make it shorter. It would of been nice to show us something new.
Maggie K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice performance and excellent camerawork. I also think the score makes this feel like a blockbuster film amongst indies.
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Well done for speechless mission. I also just want to say your team is doing a fantastic job of answering fans questions and comments. That is great to see. Good luck and I look forward to your next mission.
Heather B. Posted 7 months ago
Wardrobe is too clean/new for a post-apocalyptic situation, isn't it? GREAT music!
Zach L. Posted 7 months ago
Her face and hair look too clean for an apocalypse, especially in a desert with no water and sand/dirt potentially blowing everywhere. It looks like she's wearing makeup?
Michelle R. Posted 7 months ago
SO GOOD! Can't wait for this.
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
I love every thing about this trailer, the sound effect is great, cannot wait to see what you guys come up with next, really excited, this is my favorite trailer.
Nancy R. Posted 7 months ago
thought the sound track added to the scene. camera work mostly good, just thought the shaking detracted to much
Geoff W. Posted 7 months ago
Agree with Clutch; some visual or aural indication that something was not-quite-right would have helped justify the building tension. it was a little difficult to understand if this hooded figure had just appeared or snuck up on her or what... maybe some creepy POV shots lurking around edges might have worked? the scene's geography is a little foggy here I guess, which is a pitfall in low-budget action films sometimes so thought I'd throw in my two cents. I like the aspect ratio choice though (I just shot something in a desert for this ratio so am relieved to see it can pan out!). Ooh hopefully you get your hands on some stabilizer gear / IS lenses soon though, that jelly shutter effect is kinda distracting although I understand the appeal of handheld stuff... In my opinion though, awesome work all in all!
Clutch W. Posted 7 months ago
I like that you tried to just shoot a scene, not a montage like most others. The jump cuts of her with the bow got a bit confusing though - too much of a good thing. I was like, okay what they hell is she doing, pointing it all over the place like that? But I'm stoked on your setting. I don't know where you shot but it looks dope. Also nice crunchy footsteps in the opening shot. I'm not joking. I mean the sound effect is effective - one of those little details often overlooked.
Aaron M. Posted 7 months ago
Nice choice of sound track and the big wide shots are really remarkable. Would have liked a different ending?
Marge T. Posted 7 months ago
great job of portraying the fear and loneliness of Molly. The sound track is fantastic- perfect for this scene.
Bob O. Posted 7 months ago
Nice camera work.
XinLi H. Posted 7 months ago
It's interesting. Definitely caught a bit of my attention. I'm intrigue to see where the plot of this leads. Keep up the good work!
Lindsay B. Posted 7 months ago
I love the scenes from this team's project...they're stunning.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Lindsay!
Cam L. Posted 7 months ago
Personally I think this project is IDEALLY suited to this challenge! the desolate location, wandering characters... hight intensity... Fantastic job guys!!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Cam! We we're really excited about this mission!
James M. Posted 7 months ago
good intensity in this weeks video. I'm excited to see what else you guys come up with also the banner is really cool
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks James!
Jay C. Posted 7 months ago
Kudos the the composter, or "the maestro' haha. The music brought so much feeling to the film. Great visuals.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
He earned the title for a reason.
David C. Posted 7 months ago
Seemed like a lot of nothing for the opening of this since there is no frame of reference for the audience before it starts. great shots though!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback David!
Phil B. Posted 7 months ago
Lovely photography. Not sure why people have a problem with reusing footage from your trailer.... hope she hits her target!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Haha thanks Phil we appreciate that!
Dalton P. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome scenery, the vastness of the area shows both the despair and hope in Molly's face and well as fear as she draws on her bow. Great score which accelerate those emotions.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Purdy's dad!!!!!! haha Thanks!
Jason L. Posted 7 months ago
Just watched it again! So good!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jason!
charles w. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty desert shots. Not enough story here though. Not enough developing character. Could have stretched more time or change or something.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Charles. The greatest challenge in this mission was definitely getting story through.
Paul H. Posted 7 months ago
Really incredible visuals. The wide shots are remarkable. The tighter shots felt a little overused but nice work.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Cool. Thanks for the feedback.
Paulina J. Posted 7 months ago
This has still proven to be one of my favourite projects. You guys continue to kick ass week to week
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Paulina. We really appreciate the support. Really nice of you to say that!
Michelle E. Posted 7 months ago
Superbly shot. The lone wandering was palpable and the music cue matched up with the swirling camera work wonderfully. Intense!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Michelle. We are very lucky to have Dillon on our side.
CR B. Posted 7 months ago
Mysterious tense sequence. Really gives us a sense of isolation in the world you;re creating. Friend or foe...hmmm.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! Glad that came though!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Did you guys go out and film more? Or did you just take a lot of stock when you shot your trailer? haha. Either way, beautiful shots.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Akash! Our original cut of the trailer was 4 minutes so we just used some extra footage but changed the mood with the music.
Lee H. Posted 7 months ago
Not a huge fan of how you just used extra footage from the trailer, maybe you should have filmed in Canada so you could have wrote a new scene. Good sounds though.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
To be honest if we were to film in Canada it would be in Alberta and that is still quite the drive from Toronto. Definitely is a bit of a disadvantage shooting so far away. Thanks for the feedback.
Chris B. Posted 7 months ago
Hey buddy really good job on this. I've been following all your missions and they're really good. Keep doin' what you're doing
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Chris we really appreciate the support!
Janai R. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome. Just plain awesome! Love the look of this. And an excellent score to go along with it. Nicely done!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Janai!
Dean M. Posted 7 months ago
Very suspenseful sequence. It may be similar stuff to the trailer but obviously you guys are limited to shooting locations.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Dean! Thanks for understanding!
David T. Posted 7 months ago
Great job showing Molly in her element. The score is what really sold this one. The video was good so much credit to the score.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks David!
Frank D. Posted 7 months ago
hey guys really great job on this one. Good to see Molly, your protagonist living in her element in this world. Keep it up
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the support Frank!
Jen P. Posted 7 months ago
Great jobbbbbb! So well done by everybody. Exactly what you need to keep a film together. Great job guys!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jen!
Fraser C. Posted 7 months ago
Cool. great cinimaphotography! Wardrobe was cool. I would like to see more when it is filmed! Two thumbs up.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Fraser!!
Martha P. Posted 7 months ago
Love the music and the scenery. Molly is one badass chick! Can't wait to see the movie! Great job guys!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
That she is! Thanks Martha!
Tony S. Posted 7 months ago
Like the way this grows. Stops too soon, but def leaves ya hanging! The dissolves of walking across the dunes work great!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Tony! Appreciate the feedback!
Christine W. Posted 7 months ago
Fabulous cinematography! You get the sense of loneliness but at the sametime feel
the strength of Molly. Music is fantastic!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Christine! So nice of you to say that we really appreciate it!
Ben S. Posted 7 months ago
So much walking. wait was she going to kil him for eating a sandwich!? Can you blame her for that? I couldn't
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
I also like sandwiches.
Sandeep M. Posted 7 months ago
Looks like a real film. Sounds like a real film! I really think you guys have what it takes to pull of a feature film.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Sandeep. Means a lot that you think so!
Jimmy P. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys! I never really had any doubt. Great job to lead too. I think that's a hard scene to pull off!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jimmy, so nice of you to say!
Sam S. Posted 7 months ago
prettiest mission I've seen so far this week. And possibly the best score. Didnt tell as much story as some, but well done!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Sam!
Aden S. Posted 7 months ago
i agree that the score really made this scene. but that's what this missino was about, showing how far sound design and music cant take a scene. good job guys
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Aden!! Really appreciate the support!
Heidi H. Posted 7 months ago
Great job Dillon!!! Great pic too haha. The score added a lot to this scene. I think it might have been a bit boring without :p
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Dillon did such a great job for us! Thanks Dillon!
Sarah T. Posted 7 months ago
well done team PA. from another video remember that you drove to LA to shoot the trailer, good job assembling this mission from I'm assuming leftover footage.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Definitely a lot of scraped together footage lol. We're happy with what we came up with but are looking forward to shooting more!
Lauren M. Posted 7 months ago
Loooooove the costumes. I hope when the world ends I get to look as cool haha. Music really suited the movie!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Lauren!
Ralph G. Posted 7 months ago
whos the hottie? have i seen her in anything before? I could watch her walk through the desert all day!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Haha thanks Ralph! Mollie is an up and coming actress from LA. I think we'll be seeing her in a lot of films very soon.
Shane R. Posted 7 months ago
shot really well. looks really pretty. great music. somehow made a walk through the desert dramatic
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Shane!
Mikel T. Posted 7 months ago
really liked the music. felt like an actual movie score, not just something cobbled together for a weekly mission
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Dillon killed it for us! Thank Mikel!
Chris J. Posted 7 months ago
very cool. beautiful cinematography. if the worlds ended. at least it's beautiful right? haha and really like the music
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
haha totally. Thanks Chris!
Milan J. Posted 7 months ago
The costume and location were great, although I was expecting a little more to happen, some sort of exciting event...
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Cool thanks for the feedback Milan!
Andrew M. Posted 7 months ago
Great Cine, costumes and location. Wish I had more story though. Who is this woman? How did she get here? Etc. Looks great though, good work throughout.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Andrew!
Vanessa W. Posted 7 months ago
Some really beautiful shots guys. Love the sun coming up on the mountain, just gorgeous. There could be a little more story divulged in this, I wanted to know a little more about her.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Vanessa!
Tim R. Posted 7 months ago
The shots were awesome, but a lot of it looks like it was from the trailer! I know you guys have a tough time since you shot in LA but it would've been nice to see a bit more.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
We tried lol. Thanks for the feedback.
Margaret S. Posted 7 months ago
Beautiful backdrop for this story. I like the sounds that emerge from the silent barren desert and the use of music to illustrate emotion and events.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Very eloquently put :) thanks Margaret!
Colin Y. Posted 7 months ago
I know people are giving you a bit of hate for not doing much different visually from the trailer, but I have to give you props for being able to make a scene when your location is so far away!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
haha ya. Its a fair criticism but we tried. Thanks for the support!
Emily H. Posted 7 months ago
Love the suspense it builds. This is a great transition in storyline, very suddenly and creepy at the end does she realize she's not alone. Love it!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Emily. Really appreciate the support. Glad you liked it!
phil d. Posted 7 months ago
I love how yours was the only one I HAD to watch full screen. Love the feel of the landscape.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
I like that! Really nice of you to say Phil thank you!
Leith P. Posted 7 months ago
Really good job. Great music choice and location for filming this scene. It left me wanting to see so more.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
That's awesome thanks Leith!
Gord G. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent scene. It built tension and really made me want to know what happens next. Can't wait for more.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Gord really appreciate the feedback!
Lisa B. Posted 7 months ago
This was a really nice scene and I think you got across what you wanted to, but it seems very similar to the trailer.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Lisa
Darryl L. Posted 7 months ago
Overall pretty solid cinematography. The actors are great. The scores is incredibly fitting. good job!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Darryl!
Daniel F. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome job conveying the abandoned, lonely feeling through this. Very nice scenic shots, and music to go along.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Daniel!
Tanya G. Posted 7 months ago
The scenes are great, the view of the mountains and the sun shining. The fact that the women is alone and the music get more intense and then another being. Entriguing.
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Great choice of location. Really liked the scenery and the cinematography Wasn't a big fan of the ending but all in all it was a solid piece
Ewa B. Posted 7 months ago
Beautiful scenery, costumes and soundtrack. I was left wanting more and can't wait to see what else you guys come up with
Erica O. Posted 7 months ago
I think the end didn't turn out to be as shocking as it was leading up to be, but the visuals are so beautiful and it's shot so clearly that I can't not enjoy it.
Zolie G. Posted 7 months ago
Really great scenery and use of it! Wasn't a fan of the quick cuts at the end only to reveal a sitting guy but it built the tension.
Sarah M. Posted 7 months ago
The scenery is beautiful and powerful. You can feel the loneliness, isolation and fear! Great music!
Brenden M. Posted 7 months ago
Cool visuals. Molly is really good in this. Acting is subtle and really effective. Really good job!!
Kyle B. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys. Music was sickkk!!!! The chicks bad ass too. That guys doesn't know what he's in for lol
Pawel L. Posted 7 months ago
I enjoyed the eerie sounds in the beginning. This score did an incredible job at building up the suspense.
Giovanna G. Posted 7 months ago
Really looking forward to seeing this. This scene was intriguing, well shot and edited (visual and sound)! Awesome work!
Maryla N. Posted 7 months ago
Great scoring and the landscape is absolutely breathtaking. I could see why you guys would drive all the way down to shoot there
Amy K. Posted 7 months ago
That was great! The lack of dialogue never felt forced and the background music was perfect. And it was nice how it ended with sudden suspense after establishing that sense of loneliness/emptiness.
Vik M. Posted 7 months ago
Very nicely done boys! I love watching your mission videos every weekend! They never disappoint! Nicely done!
Rebecca B. Posted 7 months ago
Such a great job. I love your actress. She's brilliant. Good job building suspense! Loved every second of this!
Amy Z. Posted 7 months ago
Great shots!
Lisa C. Posted 7 months ago
Looks amazing. Very Beautiful and Intense. The score goes perfectly with the scene. Dillon Baldassero, well done!
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
The visual effects worked wonders on this piece. My only criticism would be the costumes. Now I am aware this is a low budget film with only a week to film but the costumes are too clean. My suggestion would be to rub some dirt on them.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
great location
Brenda L. Posted 7 months ago
I thought the scenes were a nice vareity of interesting angles from far to near. Full of suspense and intrigue.
Carolyn K. Posted 7 months ago
Suspenseful! Makes me want to see more. Good job!
Mara F. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the wardrobe, and the music added climax nicley. Ithe end when she aims at that guy a viewer is really drawn in.
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Fan mission 4 "what happens next"
The man turns his head to face Molly. He stars at her silently chewing his food. He slowly looks away and takes another bight of his bread.
Jonny V. Posted 7 months ago
Great camera work. I really like the contrast of her isolation in the wide landscape shots to the close up, chaotic feel of her encounter.
Sarah N. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the camera work. I really like the costumes and teh amterials used. They are original. The setting is beautiful.
Bob C. Posted 7 months ago
The composition of the shots was just beautiful. I love how a good location and framing can work so much better than even the most expansive background replacement.
Derick M. Posted 7 months ago
very loud footsteps in several shots, but otherwise well done
Rachel L. Posted 7 months ago
beautiful setting, nice camera work. enjoy the costume. quite suspenseful, adn the camera shots definitely give you the feeling she is being watched.
Mark V. Posted 7 months ago
Intriguing. Where was this filmed the environment is very fitting fir a theme like this. Very good job to your team.
John G. Posted 7 months ago
You've done it again team Post-Apocalyptica great intensity all around. The score is killer but shots and Molly are great too
Kathee L. Posted 7 months ago
Such beautiful scenery! Good work guys love the approach you took and the build up to the end is great:)
Tom Y. Posted 7 months ago
i really like the score in this one, gives intensity to a situation. Spoiler Alert: Don't think she shoots him, they're friends in the trailer!
Jessica L. Posted 7 months ago
Love the background view! The music also goes very well with the video. It definitely captures the hunting scene.
Sandy L. Posted 7 months ago
The visuals are stunning. Makes me really feel like I'm there. I'm not sure of the end though. I thought they were on the same team....
Bryan E. Posted 7 months ago
I still can't get over the great cinematography here. The scale of the locations is outstanding. It is going to be great to see the feature length version!
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
this is definitely my favorite,awesome
Chris L. Posted 7 months ago
Hey really good job here guys. I know it's a lot of what we have seen in the trailer but this has a different feel
Mary G. Posted 7 months ago
love the first two opening shots! Very stunning! Great score also... well done Post-Apocalyptica :)
Sue T. Posted 7 months ago
The music is very good, I love how it builds to the end. Makes you really want to know if she takes the shot or not! Well done!

Thanks Nikola!! Really appreciate it!
Peter B. Posted 7 months ago
looked good. Great cinematography! and the sound design was great!! Sharpening of the knife and the boots...
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Peter!
Matthew S. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty sweet camera angles but I didn't think it told much about what's happening other than the typical "trust no one" idea in every post-apocalyptic genres
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Matthew. Tune in next week we'll get to talk more about the characters and story.
Alannah J. Posted 7 months ago
What gorgeous and epic shots! i guess I was a bit disappointed since we already saw quite a bit of this in the trailer. Give us something new!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
We're looking forward to being able to shoot some new footage. Unfortunately thats all we had and its a long drive back.
Tyler R. Posted 7 months ago
Great job at keeping the audience intrigued with this project. My curiousity is making me anxious and I want to see the film soon. Good job at drawing the audience in to the project!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Tyler. Really nice of you to say. I'm glad your liking our videos!
Marianne M. Posted 7 months ago
Really love the big wide shots and scenery. Way to work with what you have. Not sure that the reveal works for me.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Marianne much appreciated!
Skye B. Posted 7 months ago
Looks warmer out there than what it is here. Gee, jealous! The mountains in the shot are gorgeous - of course, so was your video. ;)
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Skye! Just walked up Spadina in Toronto and almost got blown over by minus 5 degree winds. It was 30 every day in death valley... i miss it...
Lawrence T. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work. Great vistas! The music is very effective. The whole project so far definitely makes me want to see more!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Lawrence really nice of you to say!
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Beautiful locations, great cine. Makes me want to know more about the story. Can't wait to see the next mission.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jonathan. We have a good story to tell for next weeks mission.
Ryan F. Posted 7 months ago
Great work once again. The score sounds awesome. I love the expansive shots. Congrats on a mission well done!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Ryan. You're the best!
Paul D. Posted 7 months ago
It was visually stunning, but it didn't really add anything new to the story. It seemed to be a lot of the same footage we've seen. I am interested in the story though and I would like to see more.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
We're looking forwards to getting to shoot more. Unfortunately thats all the footage we had so we tried to piece something new together.
Steven J. Posted 7 months ago
Great Job once again gents, I already know most of the story because the writers are always around where I live, and I can guarantee to all the skeptics wondering about the plot.... There's a story and a plot thats absolutely amazing... They were ballin on a budget... Come on, they drove to L.A just to film it, what more do you want from a couple broke guys? They're killin it.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Haha thanks Steve!
Patrick S. Posted 7 months ago
Amazing landscapes and locations. Not easy to achieve an epic feel like this on little or no budget. ~Team SCAM
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Patrick! Really enjoyed your teams Mission video this week as well!
Jason G. Posted 7 months ago
Would really like to see more story. Hard to say. The shoot looks so good that I'm hooked but I don't want to be disappointed in the story :) Good luck guys!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
We promise not to disappoint on the story. For a low budget shoot its just a bit easier to focus on the visuals but story is my favourite part of filmmaking.
Jason G. Posted 7 months ago
Totally agreed! and I'm loving it! Congrats on the Top 40 guys! Glad to have had you on my watch list since the beginning!! J
Stephen S. Posted 7 months ago
The cinematography of your work is impressive. The feeling of the scene is pretty intense and it really flowed nicely.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Stephen really appreciate the feedback!
Kelly G. Posted 7 months ago
I was intrigued by your trailer (though confused by the story b/c it looked like every character was killed by every other character), and was looking forward to something with a little more suspense. The cinematography is serviceable but from a director who self-identifies as a visionary (yuck), I expected something with tension. Instead I feel like I'm watching the opening shots of any number of modern zombie movie/tv shows. Good luck, guys.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Kelly. I appreciate the feedback. First off I assure you the visionary comment is mostly in jest. If you dont like that then you definitely wont like my bio. But my feeling is you need to have fun with all this to avoid it feeling stale and stuffy. I'm glad you were intrigued by the trailer. To answer your confusion there is probably a moment where every character at one point is turning on another in the script. This isn't a zombie movie. And to be honest its barely about the apocalypse. Just happens to be set in it. It's more about the characters and how humans can be a really complicated group of people. Independent but in constant need of companionship. And this IS the opening of our movie. Truncated with less dialogue but definitely the gist. Supposed to show how they meet. Sorry about the super long reply.
Bobbi F. Posted 7 months ago
I like the idea of a female lead. I just hope the film doesn't end up looking like a long music video.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Me too. It was really fun getting to write for a female lead. Always been a fan of how Tarantino writes for women. Any suggestions on how to avoid making it look like a long music video?
Bobbi F. Posted 7 months ago
Yes. Limit any gratuitous objectification for starters. Any character realism that can be added would help me not see her as a Lara Croft type person. Real, real, real.
Montgomerie J. Posted 7 months ago
Powerful , suspenseful video! The scenery is breathtaking! You get that sense of loneliness while at the sametime a feeling of strength and power! Loved the way the music built on the suspense. Incredibly well done!
Paula D. Posted 7 months ago
The speechless element was carried out well with good scenery, suspense and effects. Well done to the team.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Paula! Really appreciate the feedback!
Simon H. Posted 7 months ago
Nice scenery...reminds me of a tv show cliff hanger
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks. I'll have to look it up.
Dianna D. Posted 7 months ago
Another fantastic mission! The score increases the sense of fear and suspense so much- it is amazing! I love the way you ended it.
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
There are some really really awesome shots in here! Loving the different sound of the score to build suspense. Definitely aware of the difficulty to shoot something new in an inaccessible location, so props to you guys for pulling something together.
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Really love the feeling of loneliness throughout this video, definitely fits well with your trailers & overall story! Great job! (Team Rosalind Revenge(
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I love how the suspense builds throughout this clip, and the music is one of the main reasons why. you guys nailed this.
Helen C. Posted 7 months ago
I loved this video, the music was great and the scenery in the background was stunning. Keep up the great work!
Kev M. Posted 7 months ago
Great job boys!!!!
Mateusz M. Posted 7 months ago
What can I say? I can't wait to see full movie. I'm sure you'll win! I want to know more about your scenario :P and btw Mollie Pratt is beautiful ♥
Chris N. Posted 7 months ago
very cool. Amazing locations and cinematography, but it was the music that grabbed me. It told the story for me. Brilliant.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Chris really appreciate the feedback!
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Nice job of re-editng some extra footage into a scene. Well done.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Dana. Really appreciate it! :)
Michelle H. Posted 7 months ago
The expression on the actresses face is amazing, I love her intensity. The shots are lovely. I also wonder where it is filmed?
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
She's really awesome. We lucked out finding her. We filmed this in Death Valley California!
Lee H. Posted 7 months ago
Where is this filmed? Is it filmed in Canada? If not I wouldn't want it being a new face of Canadian film haha. However I do think it looks cool so props
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Filmed in Death Valley California but we have since researched locations in Canada that are similar and we feel that it is possible to pull off here.
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
The ending (or is it the beginning!) makes a HUGE difference in terms of storytelling because may be its the use of the footage from the trailer that most of us have seen before or may be its the great visuals that made it look like a commercial for a fashion line lol. Then again this location doesn't look like you can go there everyday to shoot!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Funny story... we actually had to to tell the park rangers that we were students from UCLA shooting a fashion line so we could keep filming.
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
That's awesome!!!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
great landscape, and definitely some really great shots here. However it did leave me feeling like I wanted to see more from you guys - you successfully completed the mission, but I was hoping you were going to WOW and AMAZE me and that didn't quite happen.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
challenge accepted ;)
Rachel C. Posted 7 months ago
Beautifully shot - loved the score! Made for an intense scene and left me wanting more!! I'm thinking they'll become fast friends, everyone needs an apocalypse buddy!! - Team Rock Bottom
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Rachel. You just might be right about that ;)
Douglas H. Posted 7 months ago
Great use of the terrain and wide shots. Paints a big picture with lots of production value. Some of the shots / cuts near the end feel a bit contrived just to reveal the sitting guy.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Sitting guy with a knife though...
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool visuals. Great setting. Dynamic launch into your story and how the two main characters first meet.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Katie!
Michael L. Posted 7 months ago
I love the scenery! Sets up the story really well for this mission. Establishes the anticipation effectively near the end.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Michael!!
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
Great scenery. Beautiful girl. Unfortunate that its all trailer footage. Down side of shooting in L.A, it's a long drive back for more footage.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
It is the downside yes. Tried to pull some new stuff in the end.
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
Will you film the final movie in that location or can some be done in Canada?
Benjamin O. Posted 7 months ago
Seems like I've seen most of this in the trailer.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
This was a tough one for us. Our location is far away and we only shot scenes for the trailer that have dialogue. We figured we would let the score tell a different story here.
Stacey A. Posted 7 months ago
Makes it seem like she's about to shoot a stranger, but you can never be to careful. I think it's someone she knows. Great video! Gorgeous scenery!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Stacey!
Matt M. Posted 7 months ago
In my head... she shoots something that was about to attack the guy sitting on the ground. Bam! Friendship. -Team Rabbit
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
ooooo I like that. Can we use that??
Matt M. Posted 7 months ago
It's yours. In your thank-you credits when you folks win this thing, my last name is spelt with a big 'K'... McKinney.
Jade t. Posted 7 months ago
I love the way the atmosphere! Cool scenery shots that make you want to keep watching and then the tension and build up make me want to know what happens next! Great mission again:)
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jade!!
Michael K. Posted 7 months ago
Short but sweet! Beautiful landscape for the clip! Really like the juxtaposition of the beautiful landscapes and the harsh reality of the character's situation. Silence works well for the post-apocalyptic story.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Michael!!
Liam C. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty!
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Liam!
Mikel T. Posted 7 months ago
what amazing scenery...where did you guys shoot this?
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Really appreciate it Mikel! We shot this in Death Valley California.
Chris J. Posted 7 months ago
had me on the edge of my seat! look forward to your guys mission every week
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Chris really appreciate it!!
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
Not Sure where you wear going with this. Really hope she kills the guy. The music added a nice bit of tension
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
We were really happy with how the music turned out. Maybe she does...
Michael H. Posted 7 months ago
That sounded great! PS: Dillon looks like the 5th Beatle.
Dan S. Posted 7 months ago
Haha. I think he'll like that.
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
Absolutely phenomenal score. This scene had me so engaged I was sad when it was done. Now more then ever do I believe in your guys' talent and ability to make this movie. Good luck and keep doing what your doing because each week I'm blown away
