I like the animation, always have. It is a good creative way of showing the silent sequence. Good job you guys!
David R. Posted 5 months ago
Now THAT was awesome. Loved the animation, this project was incredible where did you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Natalie T. Posted 5 months ago
Great video! I really liked the visuals, and the audio! The video creates more intensity and makes people think!
Mack B. Posted 5 months ago
I love the special effects. The music really worked well with what you where trying to show. I also enjoyed the animation.
Donald Y. Posted 5 months ago
An original trailer. It has much to say and dies it in an interesting way. I wish we had seen more of this project. It had talented creators and was something new to enjoy.
AJ J. Posted 5 months ago
Wow, what an incredible animation style you guys have. I can't wait to see more of this story. I know this isn't in the cinecoup top ten but I really want to see someone produce it
Evelyn G. Posted 6 months ago
I think so too, but I think waiting for the movie will be worth it! :D Good luck with the rest of the competition guys!
Parker L. Posted 6 months ago
True. While the video shows the things that we are doing wrong, it doens't really go on to clearly state the path towards which it is pushing. Would have liked to see more of that.
Charlie S. Posted 6 months ago
Interesting narrative and well developed but I didn't quite catch the sense of hope in the end of the video.
Hudson M. Posted 6 months ago
The music really worked with the video, and the use of colours like orange, red and black work very well for your piece. Very nice.
Jordan R. Posted 6 months ago
Nice use of animation to further your narrative. I like the way this is turning out! Keep them coming!
Bren W. Posted 6 months ago
Very apocalyptic/dystopian , the graphics were more effective than any actual footage ever could have been.
Astra L. Posted 6 months ago
Great video! I really liked the visuals, and the audio! The video creates more intensity and makes people think!
Ron K. Posted 6 months ago
In the Sapience Speechless clip I love the audio track. Very primal, it really sets the mood for what is to come. The results of what could happen if we continue to ignore what’s happening in the world. The Speechless clip tells a very grim story, and the motion graphics really generates an emotional response in the viewer (at least to me); really well done guys. I’m really loving this very important project (and I’m a documentary fan e.g. Zeitgeist movie), so I dug into it a little more (found the kickstarter try), and I recommend anyone else interested do the same. I’ll continue to follow you even after Cinecoup. Good luck!
Joe M. Posted 6 months ago
This reminds me so much of a comic written in the 60's called Landscape that appeared in Blazing Combat. As a result of that particular story, the book was removed from Army PXs. Moving. Love your work.
Timario M. Posted 6 months ago
What a unique way to start your journey! Loved it. Great idea. I think it would be interesting to see a few of these types of animations throughout.
Jeremiah K. Posted 6 months ago
I am loving where this is going, even though this is sort of reminiscent to a dream I had once, I’m sure. Kinda gives me goosebumps.
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
the very best of luck to you all
Jeremy L. Posted 7 months ago
What a compelling video. Very dark but I was drawn in by the animation. Just another example of the different and innovative ideas you are bringing to to the doc genre. I love it
Kelly B. Posted 7 months ago
Very dark, made me feel sad and overwhelmed. Like I need to do something to change this, but where to start? Sequentially it is beautiful. Kind of a "circle of life" exploration of chaos, destruction and perhaps a glance at what will continue to happen on our planet if we don't take action.
Seth C. Posted 7 months ago
A brilliant example of visual story telling. It reminded me of a shadow puppets performance modernized with style.
Ryan D. Posted 7 months ago
Great animation, very powerful quotes and so much said without any words. An eery portrayal of our future if we continue down this path...
Bobbi H. Posted 7 months ago
Extremely compelling, really blows me away with what can be done with animation videos these days. Very important story to be told!
Sherri L. Posted 7 months ago
Cool animation! Looks great. I think the text took away from the "speechless" part of the speechless mission though.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Hi Sherri, thanks for the support. We struggle with the speechless part but in the end decided it was important to mention the stories writer, the late Ernest callenbach who we were lucky enough to have in our film.
Sandra L. Posted 7 months ago
I like the colours and animation of this video. Overall, your project is very interesting for me but I am not clear on how you are planning to tell the story in the film.
Parker W. Posted 7 months ago
Love the animation, it remind me of the hellboy 2 golden army storybook scene. Love all your visuals
Emily M. Posted 7 months ago
wow, really like the 'look'. Loved the crows and the stylized death scenes. I'd love to see this film!
Jenny Y. Posted 7 months ago
I really like this one. It wasn't what I was expecting from a documentary at the same time I could see it fitting in nicely
Greg S. Posted 7 months ago
Beautifully done
Louise M. Posted 7 months ago
Is this animated story an allegory? I did like the imagery and colour palette. I find the subject matter very compelling, but feel that the lack of hope in the tone of the trailer or this clip would not encourage people with ambivalent feeling to watch it. Those who already believe in wisdom as the solution will certainly enjoy being validated, but will skeptics be converted?
Pawel L. Posted 7 months ago
Beautiful art. This reminds me of a story book that has me wanting to see more. It's very inspirational
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks. Our doc. is trying to merge narrative storytelling with factual content in as smooth a way as possible. Art and animation is crucial to the project.
Alice B. Posted 7 months ago
I think so too, but I think waiting for the movie will be worth it! :D Good luck with the rest of the competition guys!
Mila L. Posted 7 months ago
True. While the video shows the things that we are doing wrong, it doens't really go on to clearly state the path towards which it is pushing. Would have liked to see more of that.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
If you help vote us into the top 40 you'll definitely see more. Sometimes it can be difficult in the 90 seconds allotted time to include everything so we chose to focus on the darker side of the film. Inspiration and a clearer path to come.
Danica M. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting narrative and well developed but I didn't quite catch the sense of hope in the end of the video.
Kylie P. Posted 7 months ago
The music really worked with the video, and the use of colours like orange, red and black work very well for your piece. Very nice.
Arianna F. Posted 7 months ago
Nice use of animation to further your narrative. I like the way this is turning out! Keep them coming!
Hiro W. Posted 7 months ago
Lots here. Good effort.
olive f. Posted 7 months ago
this animation is stark and intense, providing beautiful imagery, and with that amazing music, tells the story well
Del L. Posted 7 months ago
Visuals combined with the powerfu sound choices convey a great story here. Really want to see more of this movie.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Del. Help us make the top 40 and you'll definitely see more.
Laurie D. Posted 7 months ago
The sound is great and really sets the tone. The images really tell a story. Looking forward to more.
Nancy R. Posted 7 months ago
Fantastic! Love the use of animation which can be timeless. It can represent our errors from the past, what's presently going on and what can happen in the future due to lack of wisdom. This movie is turning into a "must see" for me.
Suzanna B. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome to hear thank you Nancy! Make sure to vote for us to make the top 40!
Mandi B. Posted 7 months ago
I loved the animation. You were able to uniquely tell a full story with no dialogue which is very hard to do with documentaries. Great job.
Denise D. Posted 7 months ago
This presentation speaks not only to my mind but my heart and sneakily get in and questions assumptions.
aditya d. Posted 7 months ago
I think so too, but I think waiting for the movie will be worth it! :D Good luck with the rest of the competition guys!
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Aditya

richa s. Posted 7 months ago
Nice use of animation to further your narrative. I like the way this is turning out! Keep them coming!
Carol B. Posted 7 months ago
the imagery here is very intense, very moving--along with the haunting music, the story is told simply yet is very compelling--beautiful work
Walter H. Posted 7 months ago
I'm looking forward to seeing the script for this one. I think a lot of the pieces missing could be explained there.
Nolan B. Posted 7 months ago
I think so too, but I think waiting for the movie will be worth it! :D Good luck with the rest of the competition guys!
Alex D. Posted 7 months ago
True. While the video shows the things that we are doing wrong, it doens't really go on to clearly state the path towards which it is pushing. Would have liked to see more of that.
Tyson C. Posted 7 months ago

David L. Posted 7 months ago
The music really worked with the video, and the use of colours like orange, red and black work very well for your piece. Very nice.
Andrew M. Posted 7 months ago
Nice use of animation to further your narrative. I like the way this is turning out! Keep them coming!
Monique L. Posted 7 months ago
I really like this one. You guys were able to show a full story with no dialogue fairly concisely. Animation was a smart choice.
Michelle E. Posted 7 months ago
Really well done! Evokes so much - not only visceral emotion, but there is a definitive story being told from beginning to end. Can't wait to see more!
Alan B. Posted 7 months ago
I like the animation a lot. It feels like if a story or prophecy is being told about what will happen in the future. I think that without wisdom, there will be more violence and other horrible things. I think that there should be more people with wisdom in this world because they are the ones that can help this world become peaceful.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Once again Sapience...your visuals are astounding! Amazing that you had my full attention while there wasn't even any dialogue. Love the animatics
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Akash.
Derek B. Posted 7 months ago
This looks like a really visually powerful film. Very surprising and compelling. Great sound design too.
Terran B. Posted 7 months ago
Nice artistic approach. I like creativity, and you sure have it. Good dramatic colouring. And music with sound effects work well too
Donald Y. Posted 7 months ago
Very creative. I like this short as it shows the creativity of the people on this project. It is a credit to their talent.
Iwona b. Posted 7 months ago
This is awesome! I like very much music and animation. Gives a lot of emotions . Very professional work. I wish I could see whole project.
Andrej K. Posted 7 months ago
Superb compelling animation with vivid "expresionistic" approach. It serve the purpose of warning us how things may go wrong if we stop following the path of wisdom. Strong, simple and powerful.
Benoit C. Posted 7 months ago
its refreshing to see a different concept here and with your animation you showed how diverse the competition is. looks beautiful.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Cheers, Benoit.
Gavin M. Posted 7 months ago
Very grisly and quite stunning. There was a lot of "If this comes to pass it will look like...", but not the getting there, which would have been nice to see.
Paula B. Posted 7 months ago
I like what you did, but I almost wish you had just shown us rather than using the text at the beginning. What you have is beautiful and I don't think you need to explain it.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
We wanted to make sure we gave credit to the late Ernest Callenbach, who wrote the story this segment is based off of and is one of the Wise People we got to interview for the film.
Ginette M. Posted 7 months ago
I like the idea of serious subject matter told through animation since we are used to seeing much lighter stuff in animation. This goes back to basics and still gets the serious story across.
Luna j. Posted 7 months ago
i think i will like this movie. it looks very intresting so maybe i will watch this when it's finished
Milan J. Posted 7 months ago
I like the music a lot, I wasn't quite clear what the story being told was, interesting colors and graphics though:)
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely put together. All of your work evokes strong emotions. I'm looking forward to following your progress.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks John, does that mean we get a vote? :)
John K. Posted 7 months ago
I started out on the site to support #wolfcop but I've managed to earn a few votes, so I may spread the love around a little.
joanne s. Posted 7 months ago
Great job loved the overall concept of the trailer worked very well for the mission felt is was very engaging
Dahae S. Posted 7 months ago
Strong and powerful visuals...this could even work effectively as a short film on its own if its expanded a little further.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome, really appreciate that idea.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
very original video with great animations and the sound and music really added to the clip, nicely done.
Emily H. Posted 7 months ago
Extremely powerful video of a decaying world in the aftermath of the collapse of our society. Unless our economic trajectory changes drastically, this video will become all too real. A prophetic animation of the not so distant future that is ahead.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Nice Emily, appreciate it.
Emily R. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done! Creative, entertaining and I love the choices this team made for their missions - very different from other teams.
Björn H. Posted 7 months ago
Very skilled at after effects or whatever you used to make this. Sound added to it nicely. The quote seems to be cheating because without it the images and sound would seem to have no direction.
Danny L. Posted 7 months ago
This was very artistic loved it great use of perspective and story telling wisdom comes from long term thinking not short term gains
Kristie M. Posted 7 months ago
What a fantastic little animated short. I loved it. Great use of sound and colour to tell your story.
Zach L. Posted 7 months ago
Very nice visual style, you guys are obviously making an effort to avoid being boring. Definitely served well as a hook, made me curious what your broader message is.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Wisdom vs. Ignorance. Well... it's obviously not that simple, but essentially we are spreading long term thinking as a priority over short term gains in government, energy policy and economics. Long term thinking is what makes us Wise, and is crucial for our species prosperity.
Ruxandra R. Posted 7 months ago
The graphic style is original and the music creates quite the air of mystery. I would love to see how this animation fits into the whole film.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Animation and motion graphics are paramount to our film, specifically when discussing historical/anthropological issues related to our species being named Homo Sapien. We really can't wait to share more with you guys.
Kaitlyn M. Posted 7 months ago
Yet another week of beautiful graphics. (No surprises there!) An absolutely captivating display for this story.
Kudos on a mission that's rather difficult for a film of your genre!
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Really appreciate it Kaitlyn.
Sarah L. Posted 7 months ago
extremely well done animation...sets the tone and the mood. cant wait to see the whole thing. Well done guys !
Stuart P. Posted 7 months ago
Wow. Very good animation! Can't wait to see it in the final product and how it fits into the story.
Sonia P. Posted 7 months ago
This is one of my favourite projects. I love the animation and the music is just perfect. Excellent job!
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Sonia!
Ryan B. Posted 7 months ago
one way to get around a no speech rule: type it out! haha! Great animations, this must have taken forever.
Jody M. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely done. Great visuals. Is this the style the whole film would be made in?
Montgomerie J. Posted 7 months ago
Visual impact was powerful and the music related well to the visuals. Good job on the overall video.
Branden S. Posted 7 months ago
not sure what a feature film like this would be like. time will tell!? it looks really cool, reminds me of a music video
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
visually stunning! The soundtrack matched perfectly.
Andrew S. Posted 7 months ago
A shame Ernest Callenbach didn't live to see such an awesome representation of his story. Great job guys!
Ignace F. Posted 7 months ago
I think so too, but I think waiting for the movie will be worth it! :D Good luck with the rest of the competition guys!
François X. Posted 7 months ago
True. While the video shows the things that we are doing wrong, it doens't really go on to clearly state the path towards which it is pushing. Would have liked to see more of that.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
It's definitely a challenge for us right now. We truly believe that we offer a solution BUT giving enough of it away before the film is just difficult. It would be like showing the third act resolution of a film in it's trailer, instant spoiler.
Paul T. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting narrative and well developed but I didn't quite catch the sense of hope in the end of the video.
Jean F. Posted 7 months ago
The music really worked with the video, and the use of colours like orange, red and black work very well for your piece. Very nice.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jean
Nicolas F. Posted 7 months ago
Nice use of animation to further your narrative. I like the way this is turning out! Keep them coming!
Glenn R. Posted 7 months ago
interesting but a little too deep for my comprehension. definitely original idea unlike anything else in this competition.
Jay R. Posted 7 months ago
Wow - this is beautiful - what an awesome way to visually drive home the themes of this important project
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
Very interesting. I really like what you've done here. Definitely showcases abilities not seen in your trailer while still relevant to your theme. So artistic!
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Great artwork and as usual amazing visual storytelling. I'm really excited for this project and am looking forward for it to get funded. This needs to be seen on the big screen!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Maybe the closest to poetry I've seen in any of the missions. The jumps that you make visually and narratively are masterfully executed. Gorgeous work! Sean from Team M&M
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Appreciate it Sean. Say hi to the other Sean and Bjorn!
Bob C. Posted 7 months ago
I love the animation; I'm curious how much this stylistic approach will be incorperated into the final film?
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Hi Bob. We plan on incorporating approximately 1/3rd Talking heads within our 3d dioramas, 1.3rd stylized motion graphic work like this and a final 1/3rd live action, stock footage or info graphics.
Rose L. Posted 7 months ago
It's so hard to have silence in a documentary and this works wonderfully. I also really appreciate the professional level of animation. Fantastic job from #LDRfilm
Darren p. Posted 7 months ago
Very interesting effects and artistic design. The color sceme really helped create mood. Really enjoyed watching!
Jordan P. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the technique and it looked really unique and cool just watching the events in the mission. like the mood
Maikol P. Posted 7 months ago
Just realized that for your documentary, you guys would have to rely on different ways to tell your story. Started off with strong imagery. It's weakest points would have to be the last two sections, where the imagery wasn't as interesting aside from the crows. Great style and direction for the most part. If this was done in less than two weeks, kudos to the animator. I know exactly how long and how much work they put in to every second of this.
Maikol Pinto - Memoria
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback. The film will be composed of lots of these animated motion graphic sequences, as well as the 3d diorama interviews we've previously shown. Really appreciate your opinion.
Andrew I. Posted 7 months ago
Whoever is in charge of your animation is gold. Just saying. It was almost too much gore for me, but maybe that's a good thing since we're all so desensitized at this point anyways. Love your work as always though
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Andrew, thanks for the feedback. It's been a difficult process for us to balance harsh realities with the incredibly positive message the film actually tells. We as a team definitely feel that this scene and one or two others would likely be the darkest parts the audience would witness.
miranda k. Posted 7 months ago
I really enjoyed the animation and art through out this clip. I did how ever have a hard time fallowing the plot. well done though.
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
Chocco is a great source of inspiration when we can get so caught up in the short term thinking of our daily tasks.
Joelle W. Posted 7 months ago
Whoa that was pretty cool. Amazing how much you can convey with visuals alone. I really liked the visuals. Felt very native Canadian/American, made me feel like the story probably goes back to old beliefs or ways of living and takes us through what patterns/decisions/changes ended up affecting those communities.
Keith F. Posted 7 months ago
great score but not getting the plot and the follow through. I do like the crows and the storyboards though
Emma S. Posted 7 months ago
I was hoping for an animation from you guys and couldn't wait to check it out. Well done! Interesting visuals thoughout. Stayed true to a very unique style. - Team #ldrfilm
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Great visuals and soundtrack. Trying hard to understand the story thread... getting some of it. Could be an interesting project.
John B. Posted 7 months ago
Very intriguing. The crows definitley underscore the general theme of despair.
Lynda M. Posted 7 months ago
Well done, liked the crows!! I'm not quite sure I see where this going will have to watch the other missions again
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Wow this was beautiful! I can't believe you managed to make this in only 2 weeks! Great job! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done. Loved the crow scene. Overall a very interesting piece of work. I am interested to see how it fits in with other aspects of your film.
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
I really like the art work. All your stuff is beautifully shot and visually interesting however I'm still not getting the gist of sapience.
Mital G. Posted 7 months ago
Beautifully captured! Loved it.
Julia Y. Posted 7 months ago
Was a bit slow moving in the beginning but love how the animations moved the story along. Also appreciate the symbolism of the crows.
Suzanna B. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome you noticed the crows, thank you!
Jake C. Posted 7 months ago
Beautiful animation telling an important story. I'm glad that this kind of a production is in competition.
anda r. Posted 7 months ago
I thought that this film will be with actors, but this works just as well in lieu of. I like it. If it is a cartoon type film, I would like see more details in the pictures/faces.
Suzanna B. Posted 7 months ago
Hi andra, it is a documentary film but will feature motion graphic sequences like this one that tell mini stories and/or set the context for a particular issue. Glad you liked it!
Joslyn P. Posted 7 months ago
