this would be my worst nightmare. I can't believe this happens to people. great job creating the intense atmosphere
James D. Posted 5 months ago
Sucks to be her.
Bren K. Posted 5 months ago
This looks really good excellent work team. It's no wonder that you made it as far as you have. Keep up the good work!
sharon j. Posted 5 months ago
ya this was creepy guys! I think a lot of people can relate to the situation she finds herself in and makes it all the more powerful!
Seamus D. Posted 5 months ago
I always think that the story is told in the characters point of view! A really great mission!!!!!!!!
Crystal V. Posted 5 months ago
This is creepy, and my biggest fear since I travel a lot where there are tons of dead spots. I also like how nothing has to happen to know something bad is coming.
Levi C. Posted 5 months ago
This project, like most other top tenners, has many of the qualities required to fulfill the expectations of Canadian Independent film audiences. None but one, however succeeded to induce a white-nuckled, nail-biting next several months as the world awaits the arrival of WOLF COP!
Mike Q. Posted 5 months ago
Oh yeah, Wolf Cop has some competition too....
Jacna J. Posted 5 months ago
I always think that the story is told in the characters point of view! A really great mission!!!!!!!!
victor l. Posted 5 months ago
The musical score adds a dimension of erriesness to the viewer. The hidden face of the trucker and the rear view target set the tone.
Andrew S. Posted 5 months ago
Woah man! this scene was perfect for establishment! I know and dont know what is going to happen all at the same time! Also your sound/music you got going on is on point!
Bruce N. Posted 5 months ago
Potential opening scene to the movie. Find out later in the headlines that the girl is missing. Who was that guy? Is she dead? Did he have anything to do with the disappearance? We don't know!
Frank C. Posted 5 months ago
This movie seems like it would use a silent scene to its advantage. Sometimes less is more...and in this case it works really well.
Jenna V. Posted 5 months ago
Interesting clip, albeit short. But right away you can tell the movie is suspenseful. After all, is the truck going to help her or hurt her? Good luck in the Top 5 voting!
Kathy L. Posted 5 months ago
Really great speechless scene. Need to see the next part. The suspense was really well done. Almost there!!
Todd A. Posted 5 months ago
Full of suspense... makes you wonder what will happen. Very creepy for sure! Good luck in the next voting round!
MAK138 K. Posted 5 months ago
creepy! great sdtk!!
Alan N. Posted 5 months ago
this speechless was the best of all the others
LEE C. Posted 5 months ago
I always think that the story is told in the Actors' eyes....must see the eyes!
Jolene K. Posted 5 months ago
I REALLY LIKE THIS
Leanne B. Posted 5 months ago
beautifully shot, the far shot of her looking under hood is quite dark. You would think she would be happy/relieved to see a truck coming. Then maybe have her mood change when she sees who is in vehicle perhaps (if that is what is supposed to be strange). I know I would probably flag the truck and be happy. Then maybe dash into my car or forest if I was scared. SO I guess I didn't get the emotion here. Confused.
John B. Posted 5 months ago
The close up shots look pretty good, but most of your wide shots look too dark and I didn't feel that they happened at the same time
Kerri S. Posted 5 months ago
Super creep factor. Left a lot to the imagination. Even got shivers watching this. A great concept for this film.
Brenden K. Posted 5 months ago
Fantastic cinematography as usual. It was very suspenseful! Good job guys. You picked a good scene to be speechless.
Doug M. Posted 5 months ago
Interesting use of shadow and dim lighting -slow mo of the truck passing etc. I have not seen the earlier stuff but, if I can get the speed of the downloads up to snuff, will look into it.
Donald Y. Posted 6 months ago
this was nicely put together. Without dialogue, the story is more difficult to tell. This this begins the story, but doesn't tell too much. The music and editing are great.
Crystal L. Posted 6 months ago
What happens next??? Definitely don't want to be that girl.. I liked it overall but felt like the scene could have had just a bit more of something...
Melissa W. Posted 6 months ago
This was absolutely creeptastic. It amazes me how much can be conveyed through the right music and cinematic shots. This scene gave me chills. Very well done. I'm not sure whether to be more disturbed by the eerily calm girl or the occupant of the truck. The music and scene tells me something is going to happen....and I wish that this was longer so I could know exactly what was going to happen!
Lindsey D. Posted 6 months ago
Made me nervous for this poor girl! Any version of a girl being stuck on the side of the road never really does end well . . .
Glen H. Posted 6 months ago
Well done! This scene is creepy. It does a good job of capturing the feeling with the music and the time of day.
Tawnya T. Posted 6 months ago
I have seen scary off road scenes in movies but this is not one. I see where you are going but just fell short
Ricardo L. Posted 6 months ago
The scene does not really have any depth or suspense. This is really no different anyone breaking down on the side of the road
Alex M. Posted 6 months ago
Cool concept. Different, I like that. Looking forward to some more work from you guys. Seriously great job.
Kelsie S. Posted 6 months ago
Love how the use of lighting and music set the tone. This has left me "speechless"! Great job team!
Mac L. Posted 6 months ago
I like it! Eerily set up and really gets your attention for what's yet to come. Plus all the dog photos underneath don't hurt.
John H. Posted 6 months ago
I don't understand how people found this intense. Am I missing the boat here. It does not grab my attention but good try
Kiefer v. Posted 6 months ago
Quite an interesting film concept, the camera work was very original and unique, I'm looking forward to seeing more! Good luck!
FilmFan F. Posted 6 months ago
Not quite sure about this. I think the actress could have shown a little more emotion. She seemed one dimensional.
Ryan G. Posted 6 months ago
From your opening scene ahot here, i genuinely would wait in line to see a great production of this.
Kristi H. Posted 6 months ago
This is a n And scene. There is no suspense or anything special happening. I don't feel you captured this at all
Alan N. Posted 5 months ago
no suspense ??? were you watching the same movie as i was ???
roxy reber R. Posted 6 months ago
Very intense ! Grabbed my attention and made me want more!!!! Great job!
Wendy G. Posted 6 months ago
Not real fussy on how this was shot. I think you could have panned differently. Nothing really happened here either. I feel you missed this
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
Really good job guys. I enjoyed what you have done with this and look forward to seeing more good luck
Louise R. Posted 6 months ago
this piece had an edgy feel to it from the start of the clip... i felt like i was just waiting for something bad to happen, spooky vibe
Sabrina S. Posted 6 months ago
in my head I was telling her to get in the car, get in the car! Great suspense. Very spooky to watch.
R2 D. Posted 6 months ago
Owow, that was a bit tense ... but it made me move toward the monitor in a good way. thought for sure there may have been a rapid back-up. Way more effective just holding on it, maybe the brake lights going out ... solid!
Steve A. Posted 6 months ago
Cool. Thanks for the feedback!
Mark B. Posted 7 months ago
Nice opening scene. great use of shots, editing and of course music and soundscape. I think what could have added more suspense is if the second car continues to drive off... but later returns...
Lena D. Posted 7 months ago
This was nicely shot and colored, you guys. Seemed like you guys put some decent work into it, along with the awesome trailer.
Raine W. Posted 7 months ago
woah that's right creepy. I really like how it was shot and the lighting and post effects on it are well done as well
Trish M. Posted 7 months ago
Great music, creepy scene but would have liked a little more intensity prior to the truck driving by. That part was excellent, the slow down, the stare down and roll to a stop...good work, ended in suspense.
Rocco V. Posted 7 months ago
The cellphone doesn't work is a little tired. Still true but so many thrillers rely on it. The scene's well shot, and has a nice tense feel.
Rob M. Posted 7 months ago
There's a nice sense of isolation in the real long shots when she's trying to get a signal - she seems so alone. This works really well in getting me worried about her & what's going to happen. I'd probably expect the truck to turn around & her to take off through the woods, next.
Cari J. Posted 7 months ago
Has a criminal minds kind of feel in this scene. Well done with this guys.
Thomas P. Posted 7 months ago
You manage to say so much without saying anything! So many questions - who is this girl, what is going to happen to her?
Jim T. Posted 7 months ago
Oh I really liked this. I hope you guys make it to the next round.
Parminder P. Posted 7 months ago
Looks pretty good, and the handheld camera works very nicely but I've seen those types of shots before. Looking for something more original, but good nonetheless!
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
seems creepy, lone girl and a broken down car in the middle of nowhere, kinda lacking something, not sure.
Sharon R. Posted 7 months ago
The audio really bumps up the overall impact of this vid. Otherwise, I felt it kind of lacking. Keeping it simple was a great idea, but the damsel in distress, broken down car story is overdone.
Jake C. Posted 7 months ago
Amazing POV shot from the moving car. Good sense of quality and mood here.
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Great job on this mission. The colour grade adds so much value to this sequence and the music fit is well with the sequence.
Kate M. Posted 7 months ago
Ugh the shots are so creepy and generally make me feel totally gross. Good job. I love it but I don't like the way it makes me feel.
Semantha M. Posted 7 months ago
awesome .....really got my attention!
Dominic R. Posted 7 months ago
This definitely makes me want to see more. Just voted for you, guys! Good luck!
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Guys, Great job on your video. You created a strong feeling of suspense. Looking forward to seeing more. keep up the good work. Cheers
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
Did I see a picture of your dog on Sanctuary, for 3 sec. as a prop? Sure looked like him.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Never! Maybe? Who knows. Last I saw him he was pretending to be barista at Starbucks.
Sarah T. Posted 7 months ago
Ugh, that is a seriously disconcerting moment. She's lost, incommunicado, and now in the company of a stranger in a pick-up. Spooky!
Cinnamon C. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the closer shots at the beginning of the woman and putting up her hood and also when she is looking slowly into the truck. It would have been nice to get a closer shot of the truck after it passes by along with some part of the driver.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Cinnamon. Seriously, we love your feedback. We had a hard time with the light and we kept trying to keep shooting but night eventually took over. Nature? Can't live with it, can't live without it :)
Jennifer C. Posted 7 months ago
Ok, you get my votes :)
Jenn W. Posted 7 months ago
Love your concept.
Jenn W. Posted 7 months ago
Love heart more
Donald Y. Posted 7 months ago
It doesn't say a lot. I'd like to know more about the Mill and the Mountain. This was just a ten second scene extended to much longer.
abby o. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent job of creating the tension for the viewer, the music worked very well for this. Def makes me want to see more.
Ryan S. Posted 7 months ago
I think a scene like this would benefit (initially) from a lack of score, to highlight the isolation of being stranded. Allow the sounds of the wild to conjure up a bit of tension, until it really ramps up with the sounds of approaching tires. Nevertheless, love what you guys are doing!
Sue M. Posted 7 months ago
Really good example of how important the choice of music is in creating mood and atmosphere. I felt the girl's tension.
Tally K. Posted 7 months ago
Great tension! I think she knows when she makes eye contact with the driver that this is not a safe person...
Iwona b. Posted 7 months ago
Very scary both scene and music but I guess that was the plan. Not my type of the movie but well done.
Bobby O. Posted 7 months ago
Top 40 for sure! Great team, Great Concept! Also your editor is adorable.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Bobby O.hhhhhyeah!
jes a. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome work! Small detail: When she's punching #'s on her phone @ 21 seconds, looks like you can see all her iPhone apps, instead of the keypad. :)
John K. Posted 7 months ago
I lot of the horror movies in this competition have done an excellent job with creating a mood in this competition. I really liked this scene. keep up the good work.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks John. We are not trying to create a horror as much as a thriller/drama. No gore from this team, only a gore-y concept.
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
A thriller/drama will appeal to a bigger audience, and get people to the theatres.
Sean C. Posted 7 months ago
Really good job guys. I enjoyed what you have done with this and look forward to seeing you in the top 40!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Really good job Sean. i have enjoyed what you have done with this.
Daniel H. Posted 7 months ago
I like the isolation that is created with the character and the setting. Using the cell phone as a way to indicate how lonely she is works really well because we all depend on it so heavily. Nice work!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Daniel. We're so into this location we found. It really is isolated with all these creepy old shacks everywhere. It just feels like someone is going to die.
phil d. Posted 7 months ago
Sounds were really great in this. I always love horror film sound tracks because they are so evocative.
Bella M. Posted 7 months ago
this is going to be so amazing ! I'd love to see it in full swing :)
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Us too!
Amanda T. Posted 7 months ago
Yup, you know how to hit the right notes. Why do I find button tones so creepy all the time. Good luck with the film.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks. They're a little over done but it's kinda like 'just work god dammit.' :)
Jen A. Posted 7 months ago
Never get out of the car! Who needs dialogue? This totally kept my attention from beginning to end. Good luck!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Totally. Remain seated at all times.
Theo K. Posted 7 months ago
I am totally creeped it...so it worked like a charm. Good luck and see you in the top 40 chaps! Kudos!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Theo!

You're so hot right now Bjorn.
Ellen F. Posted 7 months ago
H-m-m-m I'm predicting a problem.
Kaitlyn M. Posted 7 months ago
Great use of soundtrack and lighting in generating suspense!
I wish we had could have had either a little more depth with your story, or felt a bit stronger of a connection to your character. Another element could have made this even more powerful than the suspense alone.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback, Kaitlyn. We totally want to crowd source with our fans. How would you have added depth to the scene or made a stronger connection to this character?
Ryan B. Posted 7 months ago
I hate when the girls get in the cars! Haha gj
Patti D. Posted 7 months ago
Was he a good samaritin? Was he a serial killer? Every girl's nightmare. I would have let the truck back up a bit closer and sit there a disturbing bit longer before the credits rolled. You used the silence well.
Amy F. Posted 7 months ago
I love this. It really brings the suspense in a short amount of time. It makes me a little mad that i can't see more now lol.
Penny E. Posted 7 months ago
This scene kept my interest throughout the entire sequence. I wondered who was in the truck, why did he drive off, and what was going to happen when he did pull over.
Danny M. Posted 7 months ago
Less is more. So this is more. I liked the use of music more than most others' videos as well. Keep it up
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
You totally get what we're up to. Show don't tell and trust the power of someone's imagination...thanks for checking us out, Danny.
PadfootPanda S. Posted 7 months ago
A short ride but a good one. Feels very ominous.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Mystery thrillers...we would kill for them! (not literally, but you get what we mean)
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
Is that Bjorn H!?! so hot right now. haha
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
He's like the Kim Kardashian of DOPs
Andrew S. Posted 7 months ago
I like that you've turned what seems to be a normal occurance into something creepy. You've definitely nailed your genre with the look and feel. Keep it up! :)
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Andrew! Come back again and let us know what you think of our work. We want to crowd source our concept. Totally curious to hear what you think about our future missions.
Amy K. Posted 7 months ago
Well done - especially the ending with the shot of her in the mirror. The music and those final shots definitely gave that creepy sense things were not going to go well for her...
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Amy! Come back and vote for us. We want to show you what happens next.
Shawn B. Posted 7 months ago
The opening scene seems a bit cliche, but you handle it well with sound and camera work. The shots from inside the truck create a wonderfully eerie feeling.
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
The opening does seem cliche, all so common. But, it's a perfect opportunity for the movie to explain how and why women end up in these very dangerous situations. Unfortunately, it's a crime waiting to happen.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Shawn. Our team had a discussion about that...it's what happens next that breaks the cliche. Shooting pieces of our movie is...interesting, but we get to test our concept, so thanks for taking the time to check out our work.
Luis R P. Posted 7 months ago
The location looks good. The music and sound are really good. My only concern is that the scene seems to be only one minute...
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
Well done shots, just wish that this had been a little bit longer - felt a little on the short side.
Brenda L. Posted 7 months ago
I thought that this scene was full of suspense and creating a real interest in seeing more of the film
Ryan P. Posted 7 months ago
Wow! This looks great! I was already fully sucked into what might be happening next! Great work! I can't wait to see this work of art :)
Shannon H. Posted 7 months ago
A very creepy and exciting start! I loved the rear view window shot...very Hitchcockian. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
A subconscious homage to Brian Hendrix maybe?
Alan N. Posted 7 months ago
this is a good short that gets across the suspense and drama intended. it makes you wonder what is going to happen next and suspect that it is something dangerous
Jennifer C. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting way to begin. There are many ways to take the story from here. Makes me want to see more. And good choice with the music as well.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
The hallmark of a great thriller right? Thanks for that comment, Jennifer. Hats off to our composer Jeff Cancade. You should check out his YouTube videos. He's brilliant.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Just a friendly reminder from your friendly filmakers who are trying to make a film about serial killers. Make sure you press all the "heart buttons" under the mission photos as they greatly increase our overall score! Thanks!!
Eric T. Posted 7 months ago
I felt like I was watching the opening to a Canadian 'Silence of the Lambs'. The relatable setting and situation makes for great suspense. Well done!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Eric! Highway 16 that runs between Prince George and Prince Rupert in British Columbia is a terrifying place. I grew up hearing about all the missing people in that part of the world...we want to make a movie that tells the story of that part of the province and Canada...in a really unique and unexpected way.
Matt P. Posted 7 months ago
shot well. good music. built suspense. don't feel this is going to go too well for her at all. good work this week - team Post-Apocalyptica
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Matt. These weekly missions have helped us polish our script. How are you finding them?
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
I felt this dropped off before we had a full moment. I'd take out the credits (though they looked awesome) and give a bit more screen time.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback, Lindsey! This is the last part of a longer sequence for this character. We want to leave you with her at the side of the road. What decision she makes isn't clear until much later in the movie.
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
Well you left us wanting more, that's for sure. I'm really liking what I see from your team. Looking forward to the next challenge.
Chado M. Posted 7 months ago
Very short. would have like to see how that played out a little longer. Lack of dialog is fantastic for building suspense and this was just starting to build it for me - could have milked it a bit more
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Vote for us on Thursday! This is the last, 60 seconds from a longer, 4-min sequence involving this character. Her story kickstarts our film and we need that $1M to tell it. Thanks for checking out our work!
Cai G. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with Caralyn the shot with him silhouetted and using the mirror was great and creepy. I liked the angled mirror shot of her as well. in general i liked your lighting and camera angles used. At one point it looked just cold out and you knew it was getting dark and made me think , and most girls know not to get into strange cars but when your starting to freeze your ass off alone in the woods when its getting dark , i know the temptation of warm car taking you somewhere that be filled with light and food and help would drive a girl to get in against her better judgement
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
I think that's the most in depth comment we've had through CineCoup! Thanks, Cai! The back roads that run between Vanderhoof, Fort St. James and the Tachie Reserve are as remote as they get. Glad you feel like we did them justice.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool. Definitely a compelling start to any film. I definitely want to see where this goes and also want to make sure my next cell phone has a good coverage area! Nice work!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Matty G!
Carolyn v. Posted 7 months ago
Great way to set the tone for a thriller! Keeping the truck driver in silhouette and using the mirror to look back certainly added to the suspense. I'm going to put "service the car" on my To Do List now.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
DO IT NOW! Our dog could probably fix it for you, and by fix it I mean stand on it and not be able to get down. Thanks for your feedback :)
Marc S. Posted 7 months ago
suspenseful and eerie. I totally expect the driver of the SUV to stop and kill her. Curious why she is there though since it's such a new looking car...
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Zipcar! You simply can't trust them and they take too long to come to your rescue as we just witnessed in this video :)
Ilana D. Posted 7 months ago
leaves a lot of questions open, which is exactly what you want with a scene like this. Makes me want to see more, I wish you would have included more.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
You'll see the whole thing in about 8 months when we get this movie made ;) Thanks so much for commenting.
Skye B. Posted 7 months ago
Love the thrilling effect. Subtle and sweet :)
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Exactly what we were going for! Thanks!
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent! but my first reaction, what is a young woman doing on the 'Highway of Tears', alone at night in the dark? An explanation in detail here would help keep the story real and gain sympathy from the audience. As for the pick-up truck, the driver goes to get help. While gone a dark colored Van shows up, and that driver commits the grizzly murder.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Maybe that is what happened Diane? Who knows? We'll find out soon though! PS The Mill and the Mountain crew heart you!
Andrew I. Posted 7 months ago
This did really well in that it didn't come across as a horror movie opening, but still had that element of 'something bad is about to happen'. I don't know if you were going for this, but it almost could have gone both ways, with one being the truck driver being dangerous, and the other with the stranded female being dangerous, siren like? Anyways, love it. :)
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
We're a 'Thriller genre.' We wanted to create suspense without giving the 'cat away.' Based on your comment I think we achieved success. Thanks for your feedback!
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
This works great as an opening scene. Tells the audience a lot about what to expect and what not to expect. Love how you guys used glass and mirror to show the driver's point of view. It's intense with every layer and get you right at the end with the rare-view mirror reflection. Great job guys!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks a lot Afzal!
Leslie H. Posted 7 months ago
Sets a really eerie tone, but I would have liked to see more. You had enough time left to do a full credit reel, this time could have been used to build the scene more.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Leslie! We want to show you more, so vote for us so we can shoot our entire film. We weren't able to include a credit reel in our original concept trailer. This is our way of making amends :)
Gregory F. Posted 7 months ago
Looks great. If this is the opening scene, it sure throws a lot of intrigue into the mix right away.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Gregory!
Dale B. Posted 7 months ago
Loved the music, and the angles of the shots you used from the side window, through the tinted back and then the rear view mirror, all added the the tension and overall creepy feel, great work !!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Dale!
Carly T. Posted 7 months ago
very effective for me. As an opening scene i think this is fantastic. You created a great atmosphere for your film with the music, i liked it.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Carly!
Don T. Posted 7 months ago
This totally did it for me, creeped me out and intrigued me all at once. The music did an excellent job of adding to the scene.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
We really want to show you guys the rest of our tricks! Thanks for commenting. Come back and vote!
Kayla S. Posted 7 months ago
oh my super creepy, not something I would go see but the idea of scary movies is so popular right now.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Kayla! You might like the set-in-Canada aspect to what we're doing...even if you have to watch through your fingers!
Bobbi F. Posted 7 months ago
So scary, as it is intended to be I'd say. It's not my genre for sure but the production looks quite good so far.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Bobbi! You might like the new articles we're going to show next week. Strange things happen in this part of the Canada.
Amy Z. Posted 7 months ago
This gave me the creeps. Fantastic job!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Us too! Glad you enjoyed!
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
There you go again stealing karma with your cool dog!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
He's good for one thing: Being a total asshole. And traffic :)
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
He's the karma stealer. Pretty sure that bastard is trying to sabotage the film.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
This gave me chills, which i guess is the whole point. very well done. the rear view mirror shot really did it for me, good job
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for your support, Colin! Come back and vote in a couple days!
Emma S. Posted 7 months ago
Really conjured that feeling you get being alone as a women in a vulnerable position. Your sound work totally made this mission. Intense and well delivered. - Team #ldrfilm
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Emma! This scene sets off a story about memory, synchronicity, and a family searching for a missing woman. Hope we get a chance to tell that part...and that both our teams make it to the Top 40!
Stacey A. Posted 7 months ago
What happens next . . . The truck backs up and she's either gonna get help or get killed. Good job guys!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Give me 96 mins more minutes and a $1M production budget, Stacey. I promise to tell you the rest!
Chris N. Posted 7 months ago
that was really eerie. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Mission accomplished! Thanks, Chris
Romano M. Posted 7 months ago
This was very suspenseful and your team did a wonderful job making this work. The music matched perfectly, looking forward to another great mission from you next week.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for coming back to check out our work, Romano. Excited to show you the genesis of our idea next week.
Scott M. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely done... the sound went well with the shots and really created the increasing feeling of uneasiness.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
I think most of that came from our colour artist....if you know what I mean
Alice A. Posted 7 months ago
Love the shot when the truck is slowly passing the girl. You know something 's gonna happen & it's not gonna be pretty. I want more!!!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Alice, baby! We want to give you more! Thanks for all the support
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks again to our cast and crew for sticking it out with us on a chilly Sunday afternoon and for helping us get one step closer to making our movie: Allysa, Bjorn, Antonio, Mackenzie, Mark, Scott, Jeff, Shaun, Jocelyn, Scott and Kelly.
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
You guys never fail to impress! Love the shot in the review mirror! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Likewise. It's cool to watch you guys explore a different kind of thriller storytelling (because seriously I fecking LOVE thrillers) See you in the Top 40 right?
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
You bet! See you there! :)
Brenda T. Posted 7 months ago
Overall good use of music & sound to create suspense, although the dialing tones & the extra-loud cricket noises struck me as false.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback, Brenda. We'll take that back to the team. We'll wow you next week!
Krystle B. Posted 7 months ago
Really suspenseful. The story is set up well, and I felt her vulnerability. I doubt she would willingly get in the car, but the driver may not have that in mind.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
You're right...maybe she won't in the end and we'll take you somewhere unexpected. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate the support.

The music & sound was PERFECT. I loved her expression too, it had a bit of a vacant, haunted quality to the stare that creeped me out as much as the music. Mission accomplished, although I would have liked to have seen a tich more :)

AHH, HELEN! Thank you. Come back and vote for us in 2 days so we can show you a whole lot more ;)

SANDY!!! You're great great great.

Good job gang! Love the score grinding on the implied danger, yet showing nothing. #i90Army
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks a lot Allan. Super appreciate the feedback.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
I'm gonna go ahead and say 'amazing score.' That's all.

Yes, the tension is building. She's alone on a deserted road, A few more things could have happened to increase the tension before the truck shows up, but all in all getting there.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much Sharon! We had super limited time to get this challenge completed but are super happy with the results!! Thanks for letting us know your thoughts.
Marnie D. Posted 7 months ago
Suspense, mystery, great music selection. Love how you cannot see the driver in the truck. I want to yell "RUN, Get Out of There."
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Marnie. Totally appreciate your feedback!
Olivia H. Posted 7 months ago
I don't understand why you did not take the time to do more with this. It could have been great. This is a big deal and I think you let it slip ...shame
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for your feedback, Olivia! And for coming and checking out our work. We'll hook you next week, so check back next Monday!

I liked the music and the dark shadows in the approaching vehicle as far as creating suspense. It draws you into wanting to know what is going to happen to the girl on the road.
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for replying Brenda!

Simple but totally works with your story. That's a terrible place for your car to break down and a pick up truck rolls on by all slow and creepy.. the only more feared car would be a big white van. Good work!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jade. White vans scare the shit out of us as well :)
Tiara A. Posted 7 months ago
Great job! I like the slow down as the truck passes and the subtle yet creepy sound design that accompanies it!
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for kicking off our comment section, Tiara! This is a scene from our opening credit sequence and we had a ton of great people come out and donate their time for it. Glad you get us!
Tiara A. Posted 7 months ago
No problem, it's great to see what other people are able to accomplish with zero budgets and a lot of heart. Love your branding as well, keep it up!
