This was not too bad, I feel like this would be better with a budget and proper cinematography but that's a given!
Marly V. Posted 5 months ago
Better cinematography is needed.
Paul J. Posted 6 months ago
I found this kind of silly, and also he should just go get huge at the gym and then destroy that dude!
Crystal V. Posted 6 months ago
The fast motion and abundant cut aways were a great way to show a conversation with out speaking...great job!
Kate G. Posted 6 months ago
Really like the looks of this film! Looking forward to seeing more. Wishing you and your team the best of luck!
TeamJessie P. Posted 6 months ago
The right budget ;) would make this film everything it aims to be. Good luck
Bob J. Posted 6 months ago
Uh...so you need a cinematographer, and acting that won't make you really on using epic music to create tension. Good luck.
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
enjoyd it
Tina K. Posted 7 months ago
Sooooooooooo good. Really liked your poster so i came back to check out this weeks mission. Really enjoyed it.
Adrian B. Posted 7 months ago
This unfortunately wasn't shot very well, but i got what you were going for. You need better cinematography.
Alex P. Posted 7 months ago
Lots of good tension in this scene. The actor is really telling us how he feels with his expressions!
Jenny Y. Posted 7 months ago
Better cinematography needed. Interesting scene but the production value was very low so it was hard to keep my attention. I still wish you guys the best of luck though
Bari D. Posted 7 months ago
The whole concept of starting a new country is indeed a great format to a good movie. This particular scene keeps you glued to your seat for sure - thank you guys
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
Love love love the score! especially the part after he leaves the office. Sounds so good
Nora J. Posted 7 months ago
You can just feel the suspense from the music in the clip. Nicely done Team Causeway, good luck!
Rebecca P. Posted 7 months ago
Some really good expressions there. I like how you've stuck to the mission and managed to deliver.
Paige H. Posted 7 months ago
Whoa I can totally see that guy starting a new country! Good job guys! Good luck to your team!
Victoria D. Posted 7 months ago
Nice video, though I agree with the thought that you shouldn't have shown him coming out, It was kind of unrequired. :)
jasmine C. Posted 7 months ago
Wow, that was intense! I really like the build up in the video. Let's see where the story goes!

Heather B. Posted 7 months ago
Good use of close ups but too much on the custom's persons mouth. Using his mouth once would have been enough. It's clear something's wrong here and he's very disappointed. Good music. Nice edits.
Michelle R. Posted 7 months ago
Good lucj in the vote
Cheri-Lyn W. Posted 7 months ago
This is very suspenseful and scary, good work here, looking forward to seeing more from your team through this process.
Kirsty R. Posted 7 months ago
As a foreigner, I must say that this was quite scary for me. I would have learned some brazilian death moves, gone in, and kicked some ass
tarneet s. Posted 7 months ago

Marge T. Posted 7 months ago
thisis a great scene. I especially like the music. The character's fear turning into resolve was perfectly echoed by the score.
Patrick C. Posted 7 months ago
Not sure if it was meant to be funny, but that "REJECTED" stamp must of been the biggest "REJECTED" stamp ever. Nice attempt at building the angst though. The shot of the piece of paper at the end was not necessary. Have you ever seen something like that in a big Hollywood film? No. That's because it doesn't work. Nice effort though guys, I still love the concept and hope you guys pull it off.
Tim R. Posted 7 months ago
Hmmm I wasn't the hugest fan of this one. I didn't think the scoring was all that great. It just didn't match up to some of the other missions I've watched. I like the idea you went for in this scene though. Good luck.
Sebastian C. Posted 7 months ago

Carmela V. Posted 7 months ago
Good music, and the actor really conveyed the stress of dealing with bureaucracy! Easy to see how he's been inspired.
Rachel W. Posted 7 months ago
I found some of the cinematography to be confusing (switching back and forth so many times between actors/using two cameras in front of the store and switching between medium-close and medium-far.). I found myself just wanting to read the storefront, not empathise with the protagonist.
Billie T. Posted 7 months ago
Holy shit. If customs were to make their rejection stamp that intense, more people would have fear of rejection complexes.
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
I found the scene going back and forth between the actors to take a little too long. I disappointed that you didn't do more with this scene and with this mission.
Donald Y. Posted 7 months ago
It really gets the message across. The filming is great and the music filled in for the emotion lost from dialogue.
Adam O. Posted 7 months ago
The music did a nice job adding suspense. The work on the horns were beautiful. But what the protagonist did at the end was litter, and I think we should all do our part to save the planet :)
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I like the music here and this scene makes me want to go back and watch your trailer again. Good job guys.
Jamie M. Posted 7 months ago
Wow. You can definitely see his tension rise, and then by the end he has clearly become a man on a mission!
Christine W. Posted 7 months ago
Music was really foreboding. Was waiting for some kind of climax based on the intensity. Must go back and watch the trailer.
Sandeep M. Posted 7 months ago
He looks stressed. The music really adds to the scene. You can very much feel his plight. Good job to the team!
Sam S. Posted 7 months ago
i thoguht the lips moving were funny. And a good cut from his distress. Kept it from getting overbearing, and illustrated how we was focused on the words
Mikel T. Posted 7 months ago
really like you lead actor. once he was alone outside the store, the scene became alot more convincing
Chris J. Posted 7 months ago
the musics really good and your lead is convincing...but agree with people that the flapping lips was distracting. My favorite part was once he left
Michael W. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the tension but I think the closeups on the lips, eyes, passport and hair are ineffective at creating drama. the acting is good!
Andrea M. Posted 7 months ago
Shows a character making a choice - great. I think I would have left out the moving lips of the officer, it's not needed. The rejected papers make the point.
Milan J. Posted 7 months ago
I too often confuse brazilian jiu jit su gyms for the immigration office, I was glad to here that he go rejected:)
Andrew M. Posted 7 months ago
I liked this. The character's main problem being that he thought a brazialian jiu jit su gym was the immigration office. He just needs a canadian bank account and his membership will be accepted.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Aw, the gym next door - perfect for getting the frustration out of the system. :)
Dianne S. Posted 7 months ago
This clip did a good job of showing the emotions of the hero without words, but there was a little to many shots of the other fellow talking.
joanne s. Posted 7 months ago
I felt that all aspect of the trailer worked very well together the overall concept was very clear to the viewers
Doug M. Posted 7 months ago
This is great work, it is pretty obvious that he is getting bad news and he is sick to his stomach.....what to do next?????
Kendall R. Posted 7 months ago
I really liked the style of shooting and the music choices. Really worked for this mission - good job
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
The change of music at the end was the strong part of this scene. Sold the key element you were going for really well. The back and forth with the lips was to much needed to be much shorter. Show close ups of key elements of the document instead of going back to the lips moving. Cheers and good luck.
Leith P. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting use of music to mirror an increasingly tension filled conversation good choice for your actor he was great I agree with the other posts about his portrayal. Good luck
Alex K. Posted 7 months ago
I think you did a wonderful job at portraying the emotional versatility of this hero, I also really enjoyed the shooting style.
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
I think the music might have been a little too intense for what was happening as the turmoil was adequately portrayed by the actor.
Kate R. Posted 7 months ago
Good job. You can really feel the tension this character is feeling. I could have done without the lips moving. Just the stamp on the paper would have done nicely.
Debbie P. Posted 7 months ago
I like the way the music adds tension. Close up shots of facial expressions, running hands through hair, and so on work well. The immigration officer's moving mouth doesn't work as well for me. A silent form of showing denial would have been strong.
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
Well done. It works. I would have cut away some of the office scene to show more of him steeling his resolve at the end and deciding what to do but I do like it.
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Ok job. It's not quite as strong as some of the other projects though I do you well. I,like the concept of this picture
Nina F. Posted 7 months ago
Well done. But it bothers me to see the lips moving and no sound. The music is good. Throwing the paper down doesn't feel real enough or angry enough. Over all good job.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Nina. Cheers!
Ella H. Posted 7 months ago

Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Marie. We are excited to see where this project is going to go. We can't wait to share the full film .... in time. :)
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
There were some good emotions there. He's definitely on his way to start the new country. Good job guys :)
sonia r. Posted 7 months ago
You can tell his frustration and determination after the rejection from the immigration officer. I wish you didn't show when he was coming out of the "Immigration office" just because it looks like he is coming out of a random business.
Bob C. Posted 7 months ago
The choice of shots was really all over the place, but I love his performance, even though he seemed to make his decision to start a country really quickly. Like something just snapped, and off he went. I wouldn't have known what was going on if not for the caption below the video.
Catherine M. Posted 7 months ago
His motivation doesn't really come across, but his frustration does. What sparks him to start his own country? I want one, too.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
:) Let's start a new country together Catherine. :)
Lisa A. Posted 7 months ago
i'm not sure if the claustrophobic feel is intentional or not, but it was effective. In the end though I`m not sure what this is about.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Intentional. :)
Mary R. Posted 7 months ago
Great music and I like the idea of setting up your story this way. Visually limiting due to the setting, but still effective.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Mary.
Tom Y. Posted 7 months ago
I got the feeling you were going for here but I don't think your shot choices were as good as they could be
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback Tom.
Sandy L. Posted 7 months ago
Music is so suited to the feeling of the movie. Made me really feel for the character. Good job guys!
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Sandy!
Shane T. Posted 7 months ago
Thought the music was great. Fit perfectly with the story you were trying to tell here. Good job guys.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Shane!
Ronna W. Posted 7 months ago
The absence of speech and transitions between the pages with small type, the moving lips and the main character's distressed expressions were good tools to suggest overload of information and bad news, but I would actually want to see a slower progession and transformation in the character (from being someone who is trying to fit in to an established society to being a person who resolves to start a new country). Great use of music throughout.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Gotcha. I like your idea. With next weeks mission you'll see why we went this route... Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Much appreciated.
Ronna W. Posted 7 months ago
You're welcome - I'll be interested to learn why you went this route next week.
Skye B. Posted 7 months ago
Love the use of emotion here.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
You and me, both.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Skye
Ryan F. Posted 7 months ago
The moving lips and close up shots really added to this weeks mission video. It was interesting that the emotion was very well conveyed in a scene that would normally require dialogue.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Ryan, I'm glad you think so. :)
Roy H. Posted 7 months ago
A little over the top for my tastes. Although the absence of speech is a good way to go for that scene.
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback, Roy.
Yvonne L. Posted 7 months ago
when life hands you lemons...you start your own country. !!!
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Bam! Exactly!
Will R. Posted 7 months ago
Story was very well told here, I felt for the character and understood his strife. Music seemed a bit dramatic for the sequence though.
Amy Z. Posted 7 months ago
The main character does an absolutely amazing job. His facial expressions go a long way in this piece. Great Job!
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Creative way of not using dialogue! Very dramatic :)
Julia Richard M. Posted 7 months ago
In some way I feel his pain. Will have to see more to see if it takes me further into the movie and grab me
Gemma T. Posted 7 months ago
This is interesting makes you wonder what is going to happen next which is good like the feel of it too well done :)
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Moving lips in a silent movie only works with title cards...
June B. Posted 7 months ago
I would like to have seen this move out of the office earlier to learn more about what was happening next. Music is a little heavy for me. Lead has a really expressive face. The tight shots convey the tension. Good job overall.
Michael L. Posted 7 months ago
I like how the scenes are depicted in creating the motivation for the story. It's simple and relatable with the character.
