The juxtaposition of classical music, slow mo smoking joints, and head banging heavy metal... whats not to love:)
Sarah A. Posted 5 months ago
I really liked the contrast of the genre of music and what was actually going on in the mission. Interesting!
Celene C. Posted 5 months ago
Understand the paryting aspect, still not sure of the plot
Marly V. Posted 5 months ago
Party hard much? lol good job guys. :)
Trevor G. Posted 5 months ago
seeing this again at the top 15 revesl made me remember just how great this could have been
Nate J. Posted 6 months ago
Amazing how the slow piano serenade carries you through the heavy weight of loss, underlying a song of feelings and self destruction, that come with losing a friend.
Ashley C. Posted 6 months ago
Such an interesting genre bending theme. Really want to see this film get made. This mission was well edited and shot also. Keep up the good work guys.
Natalie T. Posted 6 months ago
A day in the life of a dysfunctional heavy metal band. I really like the way they continue to party and grieve their fellow band member at the same time.
ankit g. Posted 6 months ago
Total chaos! Your team has really managed to capture the disorder well. Nice video, team Slay to Rest!
amarjeet d. Posted 6 months ago
What happened to the dead guy? Why are they snorting cocaine lines in remembrance of the poor guy? This looks like a fun movie to watch.
sanjana j. Posted 6 months ago

Not really my cup of tea, but the character development will carry the day in the end. Need to see more to give it that 2 thumbs up.
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the look of the black and white. And the RIP in cocaine was a nice touch. This video did leave me slightly confused and wanting more. Looking forward to the new one.
Pina V. Posted 7 months ago
Cool slo mo! Looks like an out of control wake. snorting RIP spelled in cocaine is crazy! Your movie looks sick.

Hello there! Love the Melancholia tribute, I'm a big fan of Lars Von Trier myself, as well as of your project, that I've been following since the beginning on of the contest/ Best of luck
Marina N. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent looking production quality! This slow motion footage just looks so pristine and clean. I love the contrast between this and the music that goes along with it!
Nancy R. Posted 7 months ago
Liked the music, slo mo and black and white. Very original
Parminder P. Posted 7 months ago
looks like a lot of fun. Reminds me of when my son used to have a heavy metal band in our basement. Same silly behaviour!
Laurie D. Posted 7 months ago
Looks like a crazy ride. Good slow-motion effects. The contrast of the background music works well, too.
Katie B. Posted 7 months ago
The concept to me isn't very clear, but everything looked great. the black and white really worked well
Romy J. Posted 7 months ago
This is looking really good! I just want to listen to Cannibal Corpse and crush drinks in slow motion now!
Jennifer R. Posted 7 months ago
it's one part Fubar, one part Lars Von Trier on acid. What an interesting and neat combination! Good work.
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago

Very well shot has a great look to this scene. However not sure how this scene will fit with the rest of the mockumentary gritty style.
John K. Posted 7 months ago
it looks like a really fun project. I think it could be very funny... I like how the band and crew interact.
Heath A. Posted 7 months ago
interesting concept.....
Jay C. Posted 7 months ago
Ha. I didn't expect the music to be so peaceful. Was expecting more on the heavy metal side. Really funny.
David C. Posted 7 months ago
Wicked use of slow motion. Love the music. a great look at sadness overall. Can't wait to see more Vampire action!
Scotty W. Posted 7 months ago
I liked this video. The project isn't for me but I'll give you points for an entertaining mission video.

The music and slow motion are good to a point....maybe change up the slow motion/music for something different, add some color scenes, closeups. Just a thought
Leigh N. Posted 7 months ago
Slow motion for an entire trailer feels a bit drawn out and repetitive. But some really cool effects and emotion
Billie T. Posted 7 months ago
Metal meets Lynch? Spinal Tap meets a French Auteur? Who the fuck knows. I totally dig it though guys. Good job.
Ian R. Posted 7 months ago
Never been mad at a little bit of slow motion cinematography and this video is no exception. HHH beer shower was the best.
Ellen M. Posted 7 months ago
the music is a good contract to the slo motion that is happening in the scene this is interesting for sure
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
So this clip is great. Really great.I just wish I got the whole movie more
Eric T. Posted 7 months ago
This is honestly one of my favourites out of all the missions. I love the way it starts out with showing the band just going crazy but really just hiding their real emotions until they can't hold it anymore. Right in the feels man. Music and slo mo really add to the emotion.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I love the slo mo and piano in this scene, it's an awesome contrast. and now i want to know more. well done.
Aniko K. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent quality footage! This video is funny and tells enough of a story to keep the viewer wondering, questioning, and wanting more!
Jeevin J. Posted 7 months ago
hahaha. You guys make me want to crush situational drinks and smash situational guitars. You feel me Theo?
Nikki W. Posted 7 months ago
HAHA so great! Love the contrast of a 'heavy' lifestyle with a light piano ballad with a visual black and white touch of class.
Michael W. Posted 7 months ago
I really like the effect with the slow motion consumption. The expressions are good too! I think it would be a little more creative though, showing some content too.
Emily H. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoy this video, a mix of slow motion with classic music in a very stylistic experiment mixed with crude scenes of the gang. It's not until the end do we realize (well I'll leave the rest for those that watch the full video). Great job!
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
This footage looks fantastic! I love the slow motion effect and how it compliments the music, but how it all contradicts the action of the scene!
phil d. Posted 7 months ago
Yup, pretty funny. The music definitely adds a contrast to the scene, tho I did start to tire of it before it was over. Would have loved some geetar jumping in somewhere.
Emersen Z. Posted 7 months ago
Ha Ha HA HA, This was awesome. I don't know whats happening here but it looks Fun and Hilariously sad. lol!
Theo K. Posted 7 months ago
Since I am in this one I will say we are fucking awesome and we havent even told our twist which should appease the people that hate vampires so much like me.
Alex K. Posted 7 months ago
Awesomeness! What a great creative capture of the insanity in the music world.
Björn H. Posted 7 months ago
You guys are crazy as usual. I don't think you guys are acting anymore but are just nuts all the time with or without a camera rolling.
David M. Posted 7 months ago
Good choice of music. Such a contrast to what we are seeing on screen. It highlights how things are spiraling out of control.
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
I suppose we all grieve in our own ways. Unfortunately for most of us we aren't able to do it in slow motion!
Steve A. Posted 7 months ago
Totally dig the slow motion. I would have added some subtle sound (like the rail) just to bring it out a bit more. Good job.
Gina . Posted 7 months ago
This is beautiful!! Slow motion camera work is great. I really like the black and white and the contrasting music.
Kendall R. Posted 7 months ago
Haha! Awesome mission, slay to rest! The black and white, music, slow mo - pulls together very well. You guys are a talented group!
Erica O. Posted 7 months ago
I loved the beer tears at the end. I really enjoyed this - I appreciate when things are funny and well made at the same time.
Guillaume G. Posted 7 months ago

Georgia M. Posted 7 months ago
I love the fact the poor sound guy is stuck in the room with the rockers while they're doing lines of coke "in memoriam" of their dead friend. Party on Garth!
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Great use of slow-mo throughout the sequence. It definitely sets the tone you guys were looking for.
Emily R. Posted 7 months ago
Best mission from slay to rest !! You guys are hilarious - sorry for your loss. What happened to Bus?!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
love the shots, the slow motion, the classical music, the black and white - like like like. Only thing I wish this mission had was a solid ending - felt like it kind of trailed off. Would have preferred a contrast - back to colour, loud rock music playing, and of course a zombie entering the room.
Sean H. Posted 7 months ago
Great slow-motion sequence. Perfect fit for the score. Even better watching this afternoon running into Zach in Gastown on the weekend, pointing his microphone into a closed door. Awesome. Sean from Team M&M
Cody K. Posted 7 months ago
hahahah favorite so far. I wanna come party with you guys.
-the last video store
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
This is the first I've seen of you guys, and it's pretty hilarious. I love that you chose the slow-mo, it adds to the feel of the music. Well done!
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
like the humor and the music choice is great
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
This is definitely one of my favourites. You guys capture the beauty of comedy in slow motion...'nuff said! Kudos!
Shane T. Posted 7 months ago
Fun stuff as always guys. Black and white and slow mo? Good combo in my books. Keep it up out there.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work on this one guys! I have to say that the musical choice was pretty awesome. Good work guys!
Jamie T. Posted 7 months ago
man, that was beautiful... hahaha I'm really liking the humour that you guys are developing for this film.
Amanda B. Posted 7 months ago
I love this! The music, slow motion and emotions really blend well.
Danny T. Posted 7 months ago
Did you guys just slow down some of your extra footage and go black and white with it? The face he makes after taking that huge line was hilarious.
Theo K. Posted 7 months ago
We shot the entire thing at 240 fps and we did shoot in colour but Jeremy liked the B&W.
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
No way to hate on slow motion rock and roll, head banging, using, and crying. Seems like a real sad day.
Keith F. Posted 7 months ago
The video is unclear and not sure what is going on here, kinda funny and sad at the same time. Good shots though
Justin J. Posted 7 months ago
Sorry for your loss. Your bandmate seemed like a good guy.
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Super creative. Nice contrast between metal heads and classical music. The B&W works, but I have to agree with Marc B. about the need for emotional contrast.
Marc B. Posted 7 months ago
Hilarious, yes, but far too mellow dramatic. Wondering if, of all sequences, this one of mourning shouldn't take more of a serious tone. Here is your chance to give the characters depth that they don't or can't have in the rest of the film. The caricaturing of metal dudes has a comic element, but give it some emotional contrast here perhaps? Nicely shot though. I like the b/w. Nicely lit.
Jordan D. Posted 7 months ago
I can't say I really understand what the story was supposed to be here but the video was very entertaining.
Theo K. Posted 7 months ago
We lost the lead guitar....He was killed by a vampire and we were mourning his death. Art House.
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys. This was hilarious.
Joseph T. Posted 7 months ago
All this turned out great! The contrast between all the visuals and the score is great. RIP? I want to know what happened to Bus?!
Emily R. Posted 7 months ago
This is definitely one of my favorite missions. You guys rule - WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN APART OF IT.
Lisa L. Posted 7 months ago
goofy, but well shot and kinda funny, love the slow motion of it all but doesn't tell me much about the story at all.
