What a great scene! The acting, the sound and camera angles are all perfect. No wonder you got critics pick.
Bren K. Posted 5 months ago
This looks really good excellent work team. It's no wonder that you made it as far as you have. Keep up the good work!
James D. Posted 5 months ago
I liked the contrast in the scene. Great visual. I want to know more about this guy.
Nanci L. Posted 5 months ago
horrible - I am so sick of de-humanizing violence and killing as an art form
Valerie M. Posted 5 months ago
This is one of my favorite Speechless videos, I'm a big fan of the Claire De Lune song, and the juxtaposition of it with a killing - Nice
Seamus D. Posted 5 months ago
great job guys
Raj S. Posted 5 months ago
Great job guys! I was super engaged the whole time despite it being "speechless". Good luck with the Top 5 vote!
Crystal V. Posted 5 months ago
The gunshot sounds are a little ridiculous. I wonder if he has his phone to upload to facebook automatically. Why did he wrap her up? Does he just leave the body? I wonder if that's his calling card.
Levi C. Posted 5 months ago
This project, like most other top tenners, has many of the qualities required to fulfill the expectations of Canadian Independent film audiences. None but one, however succeeded to induce a white-nuckled, nail-biting next several months as the world awaits the arrival of WOLF COP!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks for the comments Levi. Did we mention the Frenchman also has silver bullets.
Landyn I. Posted 5 months ago
Wow!!! Quite a intense scene! There is a lot of diversity in this. From the murder, to everything in the scene!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Glad you liked it Landyn
Jennifer S. Posted 5 months ago
Chilling! So good!!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Jennifer
Henry O. Posted 5 months ago

Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
It might not be for everyone but it is going to be one hell of a ride.
Jacna J. Posted 5 months ago
Wow! That was a powerful scene. Everything from the murder to the music really made it work well.Good Job
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
In my world it is all about the sound
victor l. Posted 5 months ago
The musical score seems to make this assassination less suspenseful, somewhat anticlimatic. Have to watch the movie to find out.
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
We hope we can bring you the film
Ron J. Posted 5 months ago
Nice scene...not sure what he did with the body though...does he just leave it wrapped in plastic, why? I was nice to see you NOT explaining the scene, let it play...
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks for the comments Ron we will let you figure it out
Andrew S. Posted 5 months ago
Haha! clair de lune! wicked choice! for a gentleman like the french man there could not have been a better choice in music! love being able to see the frenchie do his work so elegantly and sinister at the same time! well done!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
You got to have some good tunes while you work
Amber M. Posted 5 months ago
Loved that music. Creepy.
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Thanks Amber.
Tessa V. Posted 5 months ago
That was great! I loved the music, it made the whole thing fairly peaceful, really great contrast..!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Tessa. Coming from a sound background this was a great mission to tell a small story.
Kathy L. Posted 5 months ago
Wow! That was a powerful scene. Everything from the murder to the music really made it work well.
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Glad you liked it Kathy. Hopefully you can see him on the big screen.
Kurt P. Posted 5 months ago
I liked the artsy style of this, but some shots seemed incongruous of the rest of the scene. But great job, this was well done!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks for the comments Kurt.

Thanks Todd I hope we can bring it to you
Pam A. Posted 5 months ago
I love the way you make a horrible act of murder so serene. Amazingly disturbing, and calming. Well done!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Pam even an act of murder can be calming if seen through the eyes of the Frenchman
Maureen M. Posted 5 months ago
It's amazing to me how music can evoke such feelings in a scene. This looks to be a very interesting film.
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
thanks Maureen music is one of our passions

MAK138 K. Posted 5 months ago
very powerful!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago

Celene C. Posted 5 months ago
The music playing, it did not occur to me that he was listening to in as he did his deed. The way it was shot was in an elegant way despite the outcome, great camera shots.
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks for the comments Celene
LEE C. Posted 5 months ago
Slick, good use of music....good camera work..
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago

Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
Glad we peaked your interest Alexa. We hope that we can show you more of him in our upcoming film
Sunny K. Posted 5 months ago
If I every have to be killed, I hope it's by a guy as cute as the Frenchman! Pretty smokin' hitman you have there!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
He is all business and as cool as they come Thanks
Milan S. Posted 5 months ago
Good way of showing the true situation. I am watching the rest of your work now. I like how you used the music source..you all are great teams
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
I am glad we got your attention Milan hope you like the rest of our stuff
Jonathan C. Posted 5 months ago
Your actor is fairly strong, although this scene was not too thrilling for me. To my understanding, you were going to the more artistic side of things, but it could've used a bit of work visually. Best of luck!
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
You are correct on this mission we went for a stylist look that would work without words
Jacqueline F. Posted 5 months ago
I really have to see this one my kind of movie.
Jolene K. Posted 5 months ago
well that says it all
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
I hope in a good way
Jen E. Posted 5 months ago
The Frenchman continues to listen to Debussy as he kills a couple more people, as ordered. In the evening, when he is enjoying more Debussy in his very luxurious flat, he gets THE call-- he has been hired for the kill of a lifetime.
Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
I don't remember giving you a script but you almost hit the mark.
Sean R. Posted 5 months ago
awesome scene guys, good luck with the rest of the competition, you and alien abduction to go though to the top 5!

Thanks Sean thats our goal make the top five so we can take it home

Jason M. Posted 5 months ago
With your help I think we can thanks for the support
Charlotte T. Posted 5 months ago
#TeamFrenchman all the way. This was fantastic. Really hoping that Interstate 90 gets through to the Top 10 on Monday.
Brent M. Posted 6 months ago
Yeah, this was a pretty sweet scene, and I see why you guys won critic's pick. One little thing that took me out of it, though--the silencer sound (and especially the little grunt/scream afterwards) is exactly the same as the one from Goldeneye, the old N64 video game. Folks of a certain age will be with me on this one. Very well done. I loved the use of the iPod/Phone as a source for the music. Good stuff, and good luck on the top 15!
ronald s. Posted 6 months ago
This is an ugly situation portrayed with cool meticulous serenity. Wow. I don;t want to ever meet the Frenchman!
Adam M. Posted 6 months ago
This one seems SERIOUS! SERIOUS! I MEAN SERIOUS. And you got shelley from All-Star Accomodations on board? CRAY CRAY
Jennifer K. Posted 6 months ago
Love the music background ...blood stains on a mug ...why such bbeauty in this wrapping her like a present. Who is she? wondering minds want to know why he is so gentle with it being so impersonal. Cool!
Lily K. Posted 6 months ago
Brr... I am chilled by this cool character. A nasty little bit of business, but very slick and great sound.
Mackie B. Posted 6 months ago
This is a really suspenseful sequence. I really enjoyed the cinematography. The gun sounds and the blood splatter did not really sell it for me though. Good luck!
tarneet s. Posted 6 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Grayson L. Posted 6 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Wojciech N. Posted 6 months ago
This made me forget I was even watching a mission. It felt like I was already watching the movie. It kind of reminds me of Boondock Saints. The cop in that movie listened to music when he dealt with murders
Callum L. Posted 6 months ago
The character is so smooth and suave. Liked the way the entire sequence works out. Music was well chosen too. Good stuff.
soumya c. Posted 6 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Elliot T. Posted 6 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Ben S. Posted 6 months ago
Very well shot! Looked very crisp. Love you guys! Hope you guys make it, to the top 15!! Go Toronto!
Brian C. Posted 6 months ago
This is one nasty character. It's always the quiet meticulous ones that are the scariest. Good work on this!
Mitch A. Posted 6 months ago
I really think it is very interesting how you make such a violent scene seem so serene. The use of the music you chose was cool!
Jonah G. Posted 6 months ago
Really cool camera angles here - tough to get, I imagine, considering your budget and time constraints.
Ari M. Posted 6 months ago
Nice that you didn't show the killing but gave it to us in suggestive pieces. This guy is cold and scary.
Dean S. Posted 6 months ago
This is a definite showcase piece for your team. Good work from all departments - even the set and props deserve recognition.
Kristina E. Posted 6 months ago
I'm lovin the Frenchman!
Curtis T. Posted 6 months ago
This video definitely made the man seem cold and emotionless... in that situation at least... which I suppose was the point.
Joseph M. Posted 6 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
Aakash s. Posted 6 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Aaron j. Posted 6 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
Ryan C. Posted 6 months ago
Really great way to introduce a villain - they style seems to match the character - cold, meticulous, and yet classy
Zach H. Posted 6 months ago
Very well made clip team! It's amazing how tasteful it all seems, the music the shots, except it is a disgusting act we're witnessing.
Jason M. Posted 6 months ago
thanks Zach glad you liked it.
Kevin L. Posted 6 months ago
Like how this starts off so innocent seeming then it becomes totally sinister. Also good that this has a clear beginning middle and end.
Matthew J. Posted 6 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
John H. Posted 6 months ago
Not a fan of the music used but the scene was not bad. Kind of reminded me of Damages though. Not that different from other movies of this style
George D. Posted 6 months ago
You show a great sensibility in terms of visuals and sound here. I Like this introduction of the villain.
Makenna C. Posted 6 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
Dug R. Posted 6 months ago
I think this scene is full of surprises. Everything that you think you get is actually twisted into something else. Nice job!
Becky D. Posted 6 months ago
Such a beautiful scene considering the act itself is so brutal. I have no idea what happens next...
Jeffrey C. Posted 6 months ago
I get that this is a familiar scene, but you guys executed so well that it felt fresh to me. Nice use of sound too!
Kristi H. Posted 6 months ago
This has been done a million times Nd I was not that impressed with it or the acting. Nothing unique
TeamJessie P. Posted 6 months ago
This is my favorite Speechless video and the debut of the Frenchman was fab- he came in with a bang! ;) #i90Army
Alexandra S. Posted 6 months ago
Impressive – I enjoyed this one. Well filmed and engaging! Nice work!
Vincent B. Posted 6 months ago
Really impressive debut for the Frenchman. He could become one of the great villains in Canadian cinema. Wait do we have great villains?
Siluck S. Posted 6 months ago
Very well shot - you are very deceptive throughout showing us something and then showing us how we guessed it wrong. Cool.
mark m. Posted 6 months ago
Very creepy and mysterious new character here. I can totally see this as part of a great crime thriller!
Glen M. Posted 6 months ago
I loved the music in this video - well it's a familiar track, but I mean I like how you use it as deception, then revelation, then counterpoint.
Jack W. Posted 6 months ago
Great work here. Good fit for the speechless assignment with a scene where you have an 'artist' at work.
Andrew C. Posted 6 months ago
This comes across as a mini-movie in itself. Good job. They say you need only a handful of great scenes to make a good movie. Looks like you are on your way.
Jordan L. Posted 6 months ago
Good scene interesting introduction to the Frenchman character. I like all the subtle shots. Gonna be a good one!
greg c. Posted 6 months ago
Great job with all the subtle details. Loved every shot of this. One nasty little scene you have here.
Genevieve H. Posted 6 months ago
This piece really felt professional and cinematic. It feels like a shot cut from a feature already in theatres. Good job. Really liked it.
Jason M. Posted 6 months ago
thanks for the support. Thats the way we like to approach our characters give you a little bit so you want to see more. with your help we will be able to make i-90 a full length feature. Stay tuned.
Adam T. Posted 6 months ago
Just caught up with your project. I think this is a striking little badass clip. Great way to establish a character.
Jason M. Posted 6 months ago
glad you found us and we appreciate the comments
Louise R. Posted 6 months ago
Really liked this piece, loved the contrast between the gentle peacefulness of the music and the violence of the act.... can't wait to see more!!
Ange M. Posted 6 months ago
Great piece. Liked the calmness of the hit, made it seem more scary yet professional. Definitely leaves you wanting more!
Binnie B. Posted 6 months ago
I liked everything about it. One small note: not much blood from a heart shot.
Karen P. Posted 6 months ago
No words needed & loved the music!
Sabrina S. Posted 6 months ago
So much you can exress in music and expression. I think that you did a good job on this mission.Good luck!
Laurie S. Posted 6 months ago
This piece was excellent. The music made it more suspenseful. He's so cold, just taking a photo like that of a dead body on his iphone. Cray.
Lisa M. Posted 6 months ago
Wow! This was really good! I was sitting on the edge of my chair. The music combined with the speechless aspect made the scene mysterious...no words were needed. Well done!
Michael P. Posted 6 months ago
Fantastic visuals and great use of a mellow song for such a violent event! Well done!
Melanie O. Posted 6 months ago
Expected to see more violence, and facial expression here. I also feel better music and sounds would have made the scene
Patti D. Posted 6 months ago
The silence speaks volumes. He's cold (murders w/o remorse), methodical, obviously experienced, efficient, he reflects high standards (attire, music, phone, gun), OCD (protects carpet). lol Nice touch.
Bert T. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the contrast between the music and the reality of what was happening in this scene. Tranquil violence...
Noneya B. Posted 7 months ago
Okay I wasn't going to comment but I get the feeling that some people are reading too much into this.
First of all the comment I read about the Frenchman carrying the plastic with him... Really? Does anyone actually think he's walking around with an 8x8 piece of plastic in his jacket pocket? Obviously it's not shown exactly but I'd like to think that he was either there before the target and had his "tools" already, or, he grabbed them after the fact.
Also the comment about the woman not looking dead enough... been around a lot of dead bodies have ya? From the moment of death to the moment of being wrapped up couldn't have spanned more than a few minutes. A person doesn't start to "look dead" until about one hour AFTER the heart stops pumping blood through the veins. Just saying. And yes I am speaking from experience.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Wow Noneya, thanks so much for your thoughts on the spot! We were very particular about details, as they can make or break everything. I'm so pleased that it played well for you! Everyone is entitled to their opinion and we are just so honoured that people take the time to comment at all! We love what we do, and all feedback good, bad and even critical is constructive :)
Jeremy L. Posted 7 months ago
i really like the different shots in this. I shows us more about the character. The coffee cup at the beginning and then the splatter grabbed my attention
Lindsay F. Posted 7 months ago
I love the focus on very specific parts of the overall scene (the mug, the legs, the phone, etc). It definitely adds to the mystery feeling that works so well with the 'hit-man' character.
Gregor P. Posted 7 months ago
considering it has to be sound driven it would have been nice to hear more detail here. looked good though.
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
A great moment here. Well done!
Loveval A. Posted 7 months ago
Smooth. Such a calm scene. Great choice for the music. Looking forward to more. Good luck. Hope you make it to the next level.
Seth C. Posted 7 months ago
Really nice scene team. Slick and polished it moved with tempo. Made me want to this guy kill or killed in another scene.
Susy L. Posted 7 months ago
Great job. I liked how the scene starts with the cup and then the shot / blood.
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
The music for this video was a great choice, I agree with the below comment thou that I didn't really think the girl looked dead. But overall I enjoyed your vid!!!
Emily M. Posted 7 months ago
I love the music you've chosen. Nice clean shooting as well. My only reservation is that I didn't really think the girl looked dead.
Bari D. Posted 7 months ago
I always like a film that keeps me engaged and believe this one did exactly that. Great opening scene
Enzo V. Posted 7 months ago
As others have mentioned, your choice of music was very strong, it really helped move the piece along.
Dani v. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the shooting... Don't understand what the movie is actually about (aside from being about a hit-man).
Ron K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice
Matt D. Posted 7 months ago
You can't use an iphone with leather gloves on, unless they have those funny sliver-tipped fingers. Break of suspension of reality for me, and why is he listening to music? he wouldn't be able to properly hear what is going on, as a hitman I assume you would want to be as aware as possible. I do enjoy the music a lot and the way its framed and shot is brilliant.
Anna T. Posted 7 months ago
The Post-Apocalyptica boys recommended this one to me, they know some of the people. Great job with the video and music! :)
Rocco V. Posted 7 months ago
The classical piano works really well for this. Makes the hitman into an interesting villain. Well shot too!
Bente H. Posted 7 months ago
Nice music choice. This scene makes me want to see more of your movie. Well done.
Frank C. Posted 7 months ago
Shooting a scene like this is always an interesting experience. You have an idea of how it's going to cut together, but it's always a surprise in the end. In my opinion, Allan, Jason and Mary did a wonderful job piecing all the elements together...shots, music, sound...all add to the scene. As for the Frenchman...I don't think he would be as intriguing if he was one dimensional. With villains, its the layers that make them interesting to play and to watch. It's the imperfections that make us love to hate them. Stay tuned for more of The Frenchman. There is a method to his madness. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments, good and constructive. And thank you to the critics for leaving us speechless this week by choosing our 90sec.
Anthony N. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool, the piano goes well with that scene. And I also like how we see the Frenchman for the first time.
farhan k. Posted 7 months ago
The blood splatter on the cup works really well in the scene. Found the steam in the end quite unneccessary though. Nicely done!
arpit t. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Parker L. Posted 7 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Jonah B. Posted 7 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
Sebastian C. Posted 7 months ago
The character is so smooth and suave. Liked the way the entire sequence works out. Music was well chosen too. Good stuff.
Grim D. Posted 7 months ago
I loved the shot of the blood drops splattering on the cup. Really well shot, imo. Despite the gravity of the affair, yo guys made the scene calm and tranquil. Good luck!
Sam C. Posted 7 months ago
For me, it's the audio which sells it. The silencer rounds, and the choice of light music to juxtapose the setting is a very interesting choice!
Allen Y. Posted 7 months ago
This was really well told. Looks professional and tells a clear story with no dialogue throughout the scene.
Chelsea B. Posted 7 months ago
The blood splatter on the cup works really well in the scene. Found the steam in the end quite unneccessary though. Nicely done!
Ellie T. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Natalie M. Posted 7 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Eden S. Posted 7 months ago
The character is so smooth and suave. Liked the way the entire sequence works out. Music was well chosen too. Good stuff.
Maggie K. Posted 7 months ago
I think some of the comments here are hilarious. Gee I wonder why a killer would use a plastic bag (evidence, mess, etc?) And a piece of classical music used in countless films. You guys are ripping them off! This obviously has so much to do with that Brad Pitt movie! Hahahahahaha....
Hiro W. Posted 7 months ago
Nice. Really good stuff.
Jose H. Posted 7 months ago
Hey. Well first of all congratulations. Let me just say that this was the first time I've come across your project and what I saw definitely left me wanting more. In my opinion the scene was very masterfully, balancing what was shown and what you guys chose to hide. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your future missions. Best of luck
Rachel M. Posted 7 months ago
The best villains are multidimensional. My favorite bad guys are the ones we can't totally hate, or even relate to in some way. I don't feel this scene make The Frenchman a sentimental killer, but an interesting killer that I would like to see more of.
Frank G. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with Nancy R. I had the same feel and as for the killing yes efficient but who wants a sentimental killer. Not me
Geoffrey S. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with Nancy. The music added nothing for me. A relatively unoriginal scene except for the iPhone usage.
Roy K. Posted 7 months ago
I only checked this out because of the double bill pick, glad I did, because its a nice showcase for your writing and directing.
Jenny C. Posted 7 months ago
The Frenchman is so efficient in the killing! Yet at the same time seems very gentle, almost caring when dealing with the body. I can't wait to learn more about this man.
Nancy R. Posted 7 months ago
Didn't enjoy this at all. The sound track just made me think of the movie Seven Years in Tibet the whole time. After the opening of the blood spattered mug, which was different, I felt with the dead body in plastic etc. just tried to imitate a scene from American Psycho. Nothing new here for me.
Fen N. Posted 7 months ago
You seem among a select few, have you seen the rest of their missions? Thank goodness they won critic pick despite your opinions, too bad yours is the comment that shows up on the home page!
Jacob R. Posted 7 months ago
I think the music was fantastic as many have posted, can't wait to see the final product
Nole N. Posted 7 months ago
Agree with Fen
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
nicely done, but a bit confusing when he took out the earbuds, was he listening to music
Geoff W. Posted 7 months ago
oops, *4 ;)
Clutch W. Posted 7 months ago
Really well shot - especially the opening shot(s). A good choice for this mission, too. But for me there's a moment that's confusing: when he takes out his earbuds, and the music seems to go tinny, so we're thinking okay so the dude was listening to music during the job...then the music crescendoes again and I couldn't figure out if you meant it to come across as that. At first I was like, yeah that would be rad if he was listening to classical music...then I remembered Gary Oldman's character does that in The Professional so I wasn't as stoked. Your call.
Geoff W. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work! A few things bugged me though: 1) I agree with Cat R., the music seems to be going for that ironic / Reservoir Dogs / The Professional feel but just kind of comes off as corny 2) Things like throwing the plastic sheet over the body after the mess is already made kind of took me out of the scene. 3) Same with the glove on the iPhone; 90% of your viewers will know it's impossible to use an iphone with a leather glove. 3) The focus on the gun and the cup is kind of odd; I feel like there are so many opportunities for macro photography that are missed here (her glazed-over eyes, a drooping hand, a steaming kettle with no one to attend to it--although he could have, which would have added some tenderness to it perhaps... ya feel me?)
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Great comments Geoff, thanks for taking the time to articulate your impressions and thoughts - it will definitely read differently for everybody!
Geoff W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for taking the time to respond Allan, and for taking the comments so gracefully; there's always a danger that criticism intended to be constructive will come across the wrong way, so thanks for putting me at ease there :)
Kellie M. Posted 7 months ago
1. She was listening to the music, not him. 2. She was on a leather couch and a tile floor- not hard to clean- the sheet was to take the pic for the clean up crew to come get her 3. It's nitrile gloves, not leather- I wear them at work and you CAN text with them on an iPhone- I do it every day. 4. (You used 3 twice) Her eyes WERE shown, right before he closed them..... Yes????
Geoff W. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Kellie,
First off, it sounds like I've offended you so I'm sorry about that; I meant to give my impressions of what worked for me and what didn't, and if I didn't do that in a respectful way that's my fault. All of your points make sense, although I think we could have a discussion over the viewer's perspective when it comes to each of them. But for now I'll just say sorry and good luck with your film.
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for taking the time to check out mission Geoff. For the record Kellie is not part of our team. She is just a fan with her own impressions of the short. Just like you had your impressions. We take it all in and see how you the fans respond. We have our idea of the story and you have yours and that what makes these things so great. We were just honored that the critics pick us as the best this week. So keep a close eye there will be more from us
andrew m. Posted 7 months ago
looks interesting. like the dichotomy with the trailer and the music.
Tracy A. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done! Looking forward to see the film in its entirety.
Andie Q. Posted 7 months ago
Well paced and some good shots and sound effects. Feels a little like I've seen this before though - the music playing against the brutality.
Anna D. Posted 7 months ago
The blood splatter on the cup works really well in the scene. Found the steam in the end quite unneccessary though. Nicely done!
Kellie M. Posted 7 months ago
I think the steam was a good indication that the whole job was quick enough that the tea was still hot....I liked that addition to the scene.
Kayla C. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Gabriella B. Posted 7 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Julia B. Posted 7 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
Cat R. Posted 7 months ago
The music is somewhat trendy but something is off about how the music fits with the scene. Like, distractingly off.
Donald Y. Posted 7 months ago
It tells much without telling too much. Nice balance. What a waste of a pretty woman.
Jason L. Posted 7 months ago
Great stuff, except...you can't text with gloves on!! Details matter. Great sound design with the earbuds coming off. Keep up the good work...
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for your comments Jason! Details totally matter - In fact, you can text with these gloves on... black nitrile/latex - they work brilliant with an iPhone. Cheers
Kellie M. Posted 7 months ago
You beat me to that comment! Yes, you CAN in fact text with gloves on! ;)
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting music selection for this scene. I enjoyed this sample of the work more then the trailer and look forward to what you do in the next mission.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Claire de lune? :)

This is quite intriguing, it really makes me what to know how this fits into the storyline, it has a very different feel to the previous trailers.
Heath A. Posted 7 months ago
Agreed - great looking scene! Too much eye makeup though, that needs to be tidied up.
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
thats all the frenchman we added no makeup those are his eyes and long lashes
Shannon M. Posted 7 months ago
Maybe he meant on the girl?? But then again her eye makeup looked great I thought!!
Sandra G. Posted 7 months ago
Wow! You got my attention! He seems very efficient... If I was going to hire a hitman, I would hire him! He's tidy too... I like that in a hitman. Well done team i90!! Great scene!
Andrea K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice Job on this. I cannot overstate how effective the music is in the piece. But I also liked how you made it part of the narrative too.
Cat R. Posted 7 months ago
I agree, the music is important. Vital. In this case, however, I feel the music is distracting.
CR B. Posted 7 months ago
Another new twist for your tale. It's so nice to see these clips. They help flesh out what you have in mind. This was also a fine showcase for some fine skills too.
Alicia S. Posted 7 months ago
Love it can't wait to see the whole thing the French Man is a Badass wonder what come next for the character
George T. Posted 7 months ago
This is one twisted character you've introduced here - a classic villain. Looking forward to seeing him square off against the hero, which is probably a ways later in the story. I imagine some intercutting and more sick moments like this one as the story builds.
Lana H. Posted 7 months ago
It is clear that the Frenchman is a very complex character with an interesting back story - looking forward to seeing it develop on the big screen.
Michel P. Posted 7 months ago
Nice. Very Nice. Simple, elegant scene.
Jennifer A. Posted 7 months ago
great scene
Matt S. Posted 7 months ago
A blood spatter specialist comes in and starts analyzing the cup. They figure out the angle in which the Frenchman was standing and trace his steps back to the elevator, where they get a fingerprint off her "up" button.
Tim R. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty good acting, and a fairly enjoyable scene to watch, although the gun shot sounds weren't super believeable and could've been mixed in better. Looks awesome though!
Jacob R. Posted 7 months ago
Great job, love the music love that the classical music adds to the creepy factor, very American psycho like
Daniel H. Posted 7 months ago
I really like how this scene was designed to be executed without dialogue. It worked really well and felt extremely professional. Well done!
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
Well done. The music belies the cold violence and gives a sense of cold malice to the character. I enjoy how he treats it a little like art.
Gord G. Posted 7 months ago
The juxtaposition of the action and the music was very effective. This caught my interest and I look forward to seeing more.
Simon T. Posted 7 months ago
Agree with Jen A. Loved the contrast and I loved the deliberate, methodical movements he made. Really sells the character.
Jen A. Posted 7 months ago
Very effective! Certainly makes you want to see more! I really liked the contrast of the action versus the music.
Jody C. Posted 7 months ago
That gunshot sound was from Goldeneye N64 wasn't it? Admit it. That's not a bad thing, either. I love that game. I liked the tone of this video too. Well done.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
LOL love it! Man, I miss that game - OddJob rules:)
Luke S. Posted 7 months ago
That's what you get for drinking decaf. ;)
Enjoyed the juxtaposition of the delicate piano and the violence and businesslike clean-up. The Frenchman's an interesting addition. Looking forward to more! Team #Starkers
Danny L. Posted 7 months ago
Some nice touches like the blood splatter on the coffee cup now the gun on the table before the murder and the plastic not sure
Ellen F. Posted 7 months ago
Might ruin my morning coffee tomorrow, but very interesting.
Jennifer L. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely done. Keeps your attention. Elegant = The Frenchman.
Wendi N. Posted 7 months ago
Effective scene. Nicely done. Just the enough of a scene to get the what is happening and make you want to see more. "Clair de Lune" is it?
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
Yes that's the song. Glad you enjoyed it
Frances L. Posted 7 months ago
Love the opening shot. And the music underscores it perfectly...such a soothing piece encompassing such violence. Nicely done. :) Team #RedHorizon
Jeff U. Posted 7 months ago
Well done - but how does he sneak up on her while carrying a plastic drop sheet? And if she was simply that oblivious of his presence, if he was as fastidious and professional as portrayed, wouldn't he have laid out the plastic first?
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Jeff, thanks for the comment! The scary reality about a gun is that it is just as effective from a distance!
Jeff U. Posted 7 months ago
Fair enough - from the way the scene was cut, I assumed he was close by at the beginning.
Patti D. Posted 7 months ago
The morning coffee, the robe, my first impression was that she had been in the shower (or at the very least, in bed asleep) before she came in for coffee.
Patti D. Posted 7 months ago
It just keeps getting better and better. I am really looking forward to a full length movie! Great job Frank!
Danny M. Posted 7 months ago
THis was really nice. Reminded me of some great moments from the Hitman series (the games, not the movie). I'll stay watching.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Cool - thanks Danny! Yea, we appreciate the games :)
Erica O. Posted 7 months ago
This presented a new side of the film for me. I enjoyed it overall - it was short and simple. I think the music is a bit overused in films though!
Sarah G. Posted 7 months ago
The blood splatter on the cup works really well in the scene. Found the steam in the end quite unneccessary though. Nicely done!
Isabella F. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Sophie L. Posted 7 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Brooklyn M. Posted 7 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Brooklyn!
Madison G. Posted 7 months ago
The character is so smooth and suave. Liked the way the entire sequence works out. Music was well chosen too. Good stuff.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Madison!
Jill M. Posted 7 months ago
This is well acted and well directed. I've watched it over and over. The Frenchman is scary and fascinating. I can't wait to see more of him.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much Jill! Frank brought an incredible depth to the character, an amazing experience!
Keri M. Posted 7 months ago
Absolutely loved it! I can't wait to learn more about each of the characters, loved the music chosen - perfect choice!
Charles B. Posted 7 months ago
The blood splatter on the cup works really well in the scene. Found the steam in the end quite unneccessary though. Nicely done!
Antoine C. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Keep the good work coming and best of luck!
Louis L. Posted 7 months ago
The overall feel of the video was really nice. The character Frenchman is also very well depicted. Liked it!
Nidhi c. Posted 7 months ago
I like how you managed to stage the murder without really showing what happens there. Interesting take. Looking forward to more. :)
François G. Posted 7 months ago
The character is so smooth and suave. Liked the way the entire sequence works out. Music was well chosen too. Good stuff.
Patti D. Posted 7 months ago
I keep coming back to watch the clip. I don't watch violent movies or even the violent scenes in movies but this is so well done it conveys so MUCH without the gore. True talent.
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
well done - love the shots in this clip, especially the coffee mug with the single drop of blood. Really great showcasing of your abilities - I definitely prefer what I saw here to the trailer.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks very much Michelle!
Derek H. Posted 7 months ago
I enjoy the calmness that the music conveys mixed against violence. A well shot piece. Looks good team!
Carolyn K. Posted 7 months ago
Love, love, loved it! You guys continue to develop this story and making me want more. Loved the juxtaposition of the soundtrack with what he was doing. Didn't mind the camera angles - thought they helped convey the mood & the solemnity of what the Frenchman was doing. Awesome! Frank, for such a nice guy, you looked VERY scary! :-)
Sarah N. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the music and the overall feel. I found the blurry close up shots a bit hard on my eyes though
Catherine M. Posted 7 months ago
The music contrasts very well with the action on screen. A professional killer with a classical soundtrack. I'm hooked.
Mark R. Posted 7 months ago
The Frenchman is smooth and methodical which helps to create a very sophisticated and slick overall feel. The music selection could not be more perfect to help establish the layers of this character.
Mary R. Posted 7 months ago
I'm really enjoying the new layer The Frenchman brings to the storyline. His cold, calculating approach contrasts well with Len's emotional motivations.
Dina B. Posted 7 months ago
well done in the sound mix, very simple but very effective. Its a typical action genre type of music usage but still good. i wish there were more sounds to see how well multiple sequences can be heard.
Sharon L. Posted 7 months ago
Wow! loved it, loved the music, loved the acting, loved the suspense, the editing. I can't wait to see more
Mark V. Posted 7 months ago
The two gunshots at the beginning were executed poorly with the audio.I watched this with good speakers and the sounds still felt bad quality. Good job for the rest though.
Matt P. Posted 7 months ago
nice work guys! especially really loved the choice of score, really brought the whole scene together - team Post-Apocalyptica
Rick J. Posted 7 months ago
Well done boys! You left me speechless! We should collaborate!! Clean cut killing, acting, direction, and music! Top 40
Bryan E. Posted 7 months ago
Nothing like a classic assassination. Very elegant approach to this standard scenario. Will be eagerly awaiting more of The Frenchman's adventures in i90's feature length version!
Sue T. Posted 7 months ago
Frank! You are SO creepy!! I love everything about this clip!! The music is perfect, it shows how at ease he is with his job, which makes him even creepier!! Well done I90 team!!
Nikola R. Posted 7 months ago
That was really good! The acting was really good very believable and the ending was really cool. Good Job! This actually looks really good!
Catherine L. Posted 7 months ago
The quietness is eerie. Bone chilling stuff, and I want to see more!
Renee D. Posted 7 months ago
Wow, this scene is rather disturbing! Great music selection if you are trying to portray the shooter as a sociopath. Freaky to watch him kill her and wrap her gently whilst listening to that beautiful piece.
Ronna W. Posted 7 months ago
Very intriguing sequence! It makes me want answers - who is this woman? why is she killed? who received the photo? This scene introduces us to The Frenchman - he is mysterious, calculating and precise. The shot of him as he closes the woman's eyes adds to the mystery and intrigue! Great job!
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks very much!
Ronna W. Posted 7 months ago
Absolutely! And thank you for such a great scene!
Mike D. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done. Makes me want to know what she did to have a hit out on her. This is the first of your work I've seen, I'm going to go and check out the rest.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome - thanks Mike!
Angelo S. Posted 7 months ago
That would suck to accidentally pocket dial that pic to someone! Could make for an awkward thanksgiving.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
LOL, we figure The Frenchman only has one contact in his phone... :)
Ann-Marie S. Posted 7 months ago
Very interesting. Makes you want to know why he shot this womab and than took her picture is he emailing it to show he did the deed. That is the question.
Carly T. Posted 7 months ago
I think you nailed this, and i want to know more about the frenchman. I am looking forward to following your progress.
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much Carly, this is just a hint at what the movie will feel like!
Don T. Posted 7 months ago
I was just about to post about the mug and the blood splatter, I loved that shot. I loved the pacing, this was really well done.
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
thanks I'll let you in on something that mug shot was the longest shot to get out of all of them
Dinah H. Posted 7 months ago
I loved the opening shot with the mug! Great Acting as well, and as many others have mentioned the musical component is a really interesting and awesome.
Karen T. Posted 7 months ago
Everything was done well here, love the intro the frenchman. And the music was very effective in my opinion.
Julie D. Posted 7 months ago
Powerful, the music lends a creepy air to the scene
betty m. Posted 7 months ago
the music gives it such a peaceful overtone to what we are watching. In a way you almost feel sorry for the frenchman
Fen N. Posted 7 months ago
Therapeutic that's a great way to describe the music, it's perfect for this scene you've done a brilliant job here
jane D. Posted 7 months ago
fantastc its great to see frank n this scene. love it
Nat J. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome, an amazing introduction to The Frenchman!! Good luck i90
Ange M. Posted 7 months ago
Another great scene and good to see another character. Well done and good luck i90 x
Stephanie M. Posted 7 months ago
This was absolutely amazing. It really gave me a glimpse into the character of the Frenchman. Also, the music kind of took the edge of the actual killing and made it look almost therapeutic in a sense. Excellent job. Best of luck to you all!
Lana H. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome!
Karyn T. Posted 7 months ago
Love this. No words were needed. I think The Frenchman is going to be the star in this movie!!
Lisa R. Posted 7 months ago
I like the fact that The Frenchman is so calm and relaxed while on a "MISSION". I like that he is listening to relaxing music and the little twinkle in his eyes when taking the photo. Well done all involved xx
Kaz R. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent intro to the Frenchman. Loved the music with the earphones!!! Very cool and calculated. What a character.
Michaelina C. Posted 7 months ago
Nice to Meet The Frenchman - well done Frank, I did think for one min when you reached for your phone you was about to tweet! lol sorry couldnt resist! great enjoyed x
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
I'm liking the contrast between the fairly harsh visual of killing and the calm music. Gives a bit of insight into the fact that this isn't the character's first time doing this.
Lynne M. Posted 7 months ago
This is brilliant viewing, great to see another character, the music fitted in well. Well done and good luck going forward.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I was already intrigued by your project but this only adds to it. I've enjoyed everything you guys have done so far.
Paula D. Posted 7 months ago
Loved the speechless clip. No words were even necessary to convey the story. The music fitted beautifully too. Well done i90!
Nickolas B. Posted 7 months ago
Very well put together, I enjoyed watching that. Definitely left me with more curiosity to see more of this project. Great job!
Gemma T. Posted 7 months ago
This is brilliant as always very powerful without words I love it :) you guys are amazingly talented I can't wait to see more :)
Kev M. Posted 7 months ago
Looks great. All the shots are really nicely done. Amazing score to go along with it. Very nicely done!
Emma S. Posted 7 months ago
This was such a cool mix of Leon and the enterance of Willam in Boondock Saints. Really liked all of your choices. - Team #ldrfilm
Joanie M. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done! The music and feel of this video were exceptional. It is one of my favourites and can't wait to see more from you!
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely shot and great choice of music.
Lynda M. Posted 7 months ago
I love that this gives us even more than the trailer, your missions have all been well done! Can't wait to see it
Moe M. Posted 7 months ago
By far the best I've seen, it's giving more than we see in the trailer and the visuals are wonderful
Brenda T. Posted 7 months ago
Good use of time. Lots happened in the 90 sec. Held my attention. The choice of music for the hitman felt wrong.
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Love the way this was shot, definitely my fav so far. Super impressed. (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
It's great that we see the killer with headphones on in his first appearance, especially since I recognized the music right at the beginning so it was a perfect introduction to set the mood from the killer's perspective and was brought forward when he takes them off.
Elle B. Posted 7 months ago
Looking forward to seeing it all! Great videography and music I think you guys can go all the way on this
Tracy A. Posted 7 months ago
Love it! Can't wait to see more.
Eleanor M. Posted 7 months ago
This is very well done!! The music is great the shots are great! I can't wait to see more from you guys
Bill E. Posted 7 months ago
Geez! Am I ever liking this! Style galore!
Dougie M. Posted 7 months ago
Another impressive mission, way to go!! So many great camera shots, you weren't kidding in your cheap tricks mission
Patti D. Posted 7 months ago
Bravo!
Maureen M. Posted 7 months ago
Great job, you guys truly are consistent, all missions have been excellent you leave me wanting more
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
I really enjoyed the way the elegance of the music was juxtaposed by the violence of the scene. Well done. Team Prom NightOTLD
Paul T. Posted 7 months ago
Great work! You guys have consistently delivered great camerawork, btw. Nice, sinister little introduction to one of the villains (?). Cool.
Shannon M. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys!! The shots are marvellous, the music simple yet eloquent!!! I can't wait to see what's next
Kellie M. Posted 7 months ago
This was FABULOUS! I absolutely loved the whole thing from the music to the steam still coming off the cup in the end. Chilling- GREAT job team! #i90Army
Shannon M. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome, the music reminds me a bit of that fountain sequence in oceans 11!!! It's great music and great cinematography!! I can't wait to see it altogether
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It's exactly the type of movie I would go and see. I agree with others thats its not very original but I don't even care because it works and engages the audience entirely
Lori M. Posted 7 months ago
Chilling! I love the contrast of the music and the action. Who is the girl? Is it the wife? If not I think the Frenchman will be going after his wife. Hopefully not the kid. but it would be effective in encouraging revenge to the nth degree.
Olivia H. Posted 7 months ago
Dexter? Kinda get that feel. Quiet methodical killer, keeping it clean and getting the job done BUT not unique. Good try tho
Monty J. Posted 7 months ago
You guys did a great job!! I definitely think this is one of the best, missions out there!! Go I90ARMY!
Lisa M. Posted 7 months ago
I really, really love this!! there is something thoroughly creepy about an efficient, focused killer who completes his task with reverence!
Jim M. Posted 7 months ago
Debussy. Killing. Simple, awesome juxtaposition. Wow. Drop the cliche ominous rumble, and end with the sweet notes - and maybe a single drop of blood.
Michelle C. Posted 7 months ago
Fantastic! Love the way the music played into the scene. The Frenchman is a bad ass! Loved it!!
Donna H. Posted 7 months ago
The Frenchman is very methodical, with a sensitive classy edge. Love the music and the film style. Very sophisticated and deep.
Julie P. Posted 7 months ago
This is my kind of drama. Love me some psychopaths that enjoy good music while they're doing a job! Keep the clips coming, because I cannot get enough!
Candice M. Posted 7 months ago
Great intro. Super freaky. I think that maybe he regrets what he has done and decides to find a different career path. OR REVENGE.
