I like the twisted staircase dutch type shot. Looks pretty cool and that yellow hoodie is pretty stellar.
Seamus D. Posted 5 months ago
Great ideas. I really enjoyed this mission. It's a shame that this film was eliminated. I would have loved to see what else was in store.
Sarah A. Posted 5 months ago
Clowns are the scariest thing in the world. I like the slow ha ha ha ha. A great twist on real laughter
Bruce N. Posted 5 months ago
As he lifts the axe above his head, Corky suddenly pulls a Dervish spinorama, lopping off the heads of every clown in one fell swoop... A circle of standing headless clowns whaaaaaaaat?
Frank C. Posted 5 months ago
Great ideas. I really enjoyed this mission. It's a shame that this film was eliminated. I would have loved to see what else was in store.
Steve R. Posted 5 months ago
Looks fun guys!
Rob H. Posted 5 months ago
This is funny, and tells the idea very well without dialogue, as was the mission you undertook. Congrats, it was good.
David S. Posted 5 months ago
Further proof that clowns are the most terrifying things in the world. That chanting and rattling gets into your bones
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
I like the photos on this page...good creepy sounds
Priyatharshini R. Posted 6 months ago
Dang these clowns are scary. This is going to be an intense film. Kinda only want to watch it with the lights on
Kevin C. Posted 6 months ago
I go to clown circuses sometimes. These are the creepiest clowns I've seen. Great makeup and the laughter is so unsettling.
Crystal V. Posted 6 months ago
very interested to see where that goes!. Does he cut a man? Does he turn and cut clowns? Does he just abort the whole mission and run?...
Mikey G. Posted 6 months ago
Great work, gang! So many great looking clowns. I would love to learn more about each one and their individual stories. Again, great work!
Trevor G. Posted 6 months ago
So you're saying perhaps back stories in feature and maybe webisodes pertaining to sub characters backgrounds?... we just might have already started planning that, I'm not saying I'm just saying ;)
Lew D. Posted 6 months ago
Hollywood, that great maker of myths, taught people what to think about clowns and clowns what to think about themselves. - The Celluloid Circus Tent
The first time Conrad Weston saw a clown, he was four years old. His mother was waiting in line at the grocery story; the clown was in the line next to theirs.
As small children often do, Conrad asked in a piercing, carrying voice, “What's wrong with that man? Mommy, why is that man dressed like that? Why is he wearing a ball on his nose?” His mother didn't answer, keeping her gaze fixed straight ahead. The man looked around and smiled at Conrad.
Conrad smiled back hesitantly. His mother gave his hand a sharp jerk.
The man reached into the pocket of his oversized purple and green striped pants and pulled out a balloon. Before Conrad's amazed eyes, he blew it up, then with quick, deft tweaks he knotted it into the shape of a wiener dog. Conrad reached for it, but his mother made a hissing noise of disgust and pulled him away. She left her grocery cart where it stood.
Outside, she told him, “Never speak to people like that!” and gave him a little shake for emphasis.
He's never seen her act like this, and was too scared to ask why.
Back home, he waited until she was busy with dinner and took his poster paints and one of his Action Men up to his room. As carefully as his thick little fingers could manage, he daubed paint on the toy's face. White, then triangles of blue over the eyes, smears of red on the nose and mouth. He gazed at it for a long moment, the wiped the paint of with a shudder of furtive panic.

Nicely done!
Kiefer v. Posted 6 months ago
Quite an interesting film concept, the camera work was very original and unique, I'm looking forward to seeing more! Good luck!
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
nice pictures
Bradley P. Posted 6 months ago
I really like how this could be an allegory for many social groups
Trevor G. Posted 6 months ago
Well you're right on track with us then =)
Panta M. Posted 6 months ago
i love the make up you guys have! it kind of reminds me of the batman cartoons i used to watch when i was a kid!! you guys would be perfect as jokers squad hehehe~~
Frank L. Posted 6 months ago
This is one of those train wreck dreams where you don't want to be caught in the middle of it, but at the same time can't look away.
Jeremiah K. Posted 6 months ago
I am loving where this is going, even though this is sort of reminiscent to a dream I had once, I’m sure. Kinda gives me goosebumps.
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
I had that dream too! weird...
Huaguang S. Posted 6 months ago
hmm--agree the 'hood' is someone Corky wants to get out of there...how? They haha so ferociously, they hyperventilate and all pass out--done!
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
Dude, you're giving away the end of the movie!!! haha
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
i like ths
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!
Zhong Z. Posted 6 months ago
so some people are clowns, and some clowns join the brigade, and this is an initiation ritual? Sure want to know why Corky's joining (or pretending to)!
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
Check out our next two mission videos for the answers.
R2 D. Posted 6 months ago
What is in the water down there!?! this was a high class shoot for sure totally "Clown-Runner" Go go Big shoes brigade>
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
"Clown-Runner"...I think you are my new favourite person... LOVE IT!
Christina M. Posted 6 months ago
So many people will find this incredibly creepy. I love it. The chanting is a great effect. Really sets the mood.
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
We are definitely going to be playing up on the creepiness clowns have on some people for sure.
Cheyenne D. Posted 6 months ago
So none of these Clowns seem like actual clowns. Is that what you guys are going for? It's like a strange sort of "Warriors" meets "SOA" and I think I like it.
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
You're getting close! We've played with the idea of what constitutes being a "clown". It's not just a job anymore, it's a way of life, a way of self-identification really... check out our latest videos for some clues (but you're on the right track!)
Cameron W. Posted 7 months ago
yeah cool. the legatus missus is on a pilgrimage to pray for reconciliation and healing for the brigade - haha
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
Eloquent
William F. Posted 7 months ago
very sharp -- perhaps the hooded one is a recently appointed papal legate on a special assignment that concerns the brigade
Ann B. Posted 7 months ago
nice - great shots, moody music - definitely agree that balloons should be there - can be dropped from on high; widespread mayhem!
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
You guys have such amazing ideas!! Keep them coming!
marie d. Posted 7 months ago
really enjoyed this; moves the story along very well. well chosen elements (music, location, make-up, etc)
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks! It really came together nicely. Doesn't hurt when you have an amazing team to call on!
Peggy G. Posted 7 months ago
Wow, this mission video was very well done! It gave me chills and the anxiety grows as it unfolds. The chanting was freaky. Very creative!
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
I really liked the use of chanting in this scene. It was very effective
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!
Cari J. Posted 7 months ago
Clowns! They creep me out every time. Well done with this scene.
Jim T. Posted 7 months ago
YOu gys are slowly winnng me over.
Trevor G. Posted 6 months ago
Have you seen missions 5, 6, and 7? curious as to how much more we may have won you??
Steve B. Posted 7 months ago
oh ya
Parminder P. Posted 7 months ago
I guess ha isn't a word? Impressive, looks likes a lot of work for the makeup artist! I'm more scared of clowns now
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
We debated that for an entire evening. We felt it was being used more as sound design than dialogue and therefore could justify using it to our advantage. Thanks for continuing to check us out!
Katie B. Posted 7 months ago
you guys will be giving a whole new generation of people clown nightmares, and the old generation's won't go away :)
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
That's the plan! :D
Trevor G. Posted 6 months ago
Ideally we'll both terrify people as well as create a new way people look at clowns
Kirsty R. Posted 7 months ago
I like the twisted staircase dutch type shot. Looks pretty cool and that yellow hoodie is pretty stellar
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Dutch is so in right now
olive f. Posted 7 months ago
wow, this is a big boo. that's not a bad boo. it's a very good clown boo...balloons next...great weapons
Nadav S. Posted 6 months ago
In that case, boo to you, too? hehe, thanks for the continued support!
George P. Posted 7 months ago
Seemed interesting, it was suspenseful in a sense, but perhaps a bit of a let down at the end in my opinion
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
You just wanted to see the director die, admit it ;)
Sharon R. Posted 7 months ago
Wow, I really like this. It is really powerful and I like how you left it hanging at the end. Good visuals and audio, really tie it all together.
Bryan L. Posted 7 months ago
An amazing video. It's great to see so much effort and passion from such an amazingly talented group of artists.
Terri T. Posted 7 months ago
the crow/it......
Cheyenne D. Posted 6 months ago
have absolutely nothing to do with this. Is that what you were saying?
Tina V. Posted 7 months ago
a little disorientating to me not sure if I am getting the complete story here, but you for sure scored in the creepy scary department
Jenna R. Posted 7 months ago
I can't wait to see what mission 5 holds. Keep the creepy comin'!
Carol B. Posted 7 months ago
this is so awesome--very vivid--but you know...that isn't really the director under the hood, is it?
Jenna R. Posted 7 months ago
he's shaking in his booties
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
It was cold... I wasn't scared...it was cold...
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
It was actually :P
Melissa W. Posted 7 months ago
you guys are awesome!
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the support!
Devan R. Posted 7 months ago
I like the setting and tone of speechless. I don't know why but the clown characters feel oddly familiar....hahahah
Marina L. Posted 7 months ago
Amazing! Really enjoyed it. Ha! Ha! HA!
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
Cheers Marina, you're the best
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
We love you Marina!!!! :D
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Everyone if you like this please check out our other missions and hit the "like" and click all the hearts! Cheers, Love you all!
Billie T. Posted 7 months ago
This was such a fun shoot. To all our fans: Keep on the look out for the extended cut with the Agent Carlson footage!
Geoffrey S. Posted 7 months ago
OOhh can't wait!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
interesting. i liked the background music.
Casey G. Posted 7 months ago
The more I watch from this team, the more I want to see this movie get made. The missions have all been entertaining, and the redesign of Corky's look is top notch.
Semantha M. Posted 7 months ago
Clowns ....just scary stuff....very creepy!
Geoffrey S. Posted 7 months ago
Agreed!
Shannon E. Posted 7 months ago
The way this video was produced was awesome! It was creepy and the music, voices, crowd, and camera angles (and clowns!) gave me chills. And what happens to the director?!
Shannon P. Posted 7 months ago
I’m loving everything I see coming from this project. And to leave it off where you did, I am anxiously awaiting the next mission video to find out what happens to the Filthy Director! The chanting still echoes in my head: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Love it!
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
Cheers Shannon. This was a particularly fun mission to shoot.
Angela G. Posted 7 months ago
I think this clown has a soft heart for humans. He is doing this deed as an effort to fit into clown society, but needs to earn their trust before he can act on his own beliefs.
Geoffrey S. Posted 7 months ago
Very poignant comment Angela
Shannon E. Posted 7 months ago
I am loving where this is going, even though this is sort of reminiscent to a dream I had once, I’m sure. Kinda gives me goosebumps. No one believed me when I said clowns are scary and evil, so I am happy to have found something that fits in so perfectly with my fears.
Jeevin J. Posted 7 months ago
No matter what you do, or wear, or cut your hair or however your face is painted...you always terrify me Trevor, you handsome bastard
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
That's just because you know me so well. As you so eloquently put it once it's my "beedy little eyes"
Kris S. Posted 7 months ago
Sorry, I've got to say I did not love the laughing... although I suppose creepy is what you were going for...
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Creepy is definitely the tone we were going for.
Samantha B. Posted 7 months ago
Annnnnd suitably creeped out once again. I never knew I didn't like clowns until this team showed up. Thanks?
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
You're welcome! Self discovery is fun! :D
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
man these clowns really creep me out, which is a good thing. good scene guys lots of great visuals and sounds.
Bella M. Posted 7 months ago
this is going to be so amazing ! I'd love to see it in full swing :) you got a strong team to work with !
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Bella! With your support we can make it happen!
Luke S. Posted 7 months ago
Well that gets right to the creepy heart of clowndom, doesn't it? Nice camerawork, and the laughing/chanting gives the whole thing a disturbing, cult-like edge. Good mission! Team #Starkers.
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for checking us out!
Theo K. Posted 7 months ago
One of my top 5 teams I am rooting for...nice location and the lighting is perfect...Good luck to making it to the top 40!
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Theo! Glad to have you in our corner. Cheers!
Lisa B. Posted 7 months ago
Not a big fan of clowns in the first place, and that maniacal laughter did not help. I would not want to be that person in the bag.
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
As the person who was IN the bag, it was a pretty terrifying experience!
Geoffrey S. Posted 7 months ago
He was shaking for real i'm told
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
This has been the most satisfying project to work on, really excited to get more of the story across to the audience! This is still just the tip of the iceberg!
Rob N. Posted 7 months ago
This is the first mission that I believe added significant merit to your project. This added a lot more depth of character. I enjoyed the topsy-turvy motion of the of the camera, it added a circus-y feel.
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Glad you keep coming back to check us out, Rob! Really appreciate all the constructive criticisms you've given so far. Yes, we've been pretty mysterious up until this video, and our next mission will reveal even more. So be sure to check us out next week, too!
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
And don't forget to throw us some votes, too ;)
Sonia P. Posted 7 months ago
Great camera angles!. You can tell that you guys were having fun when you where shooting. A really fun scene!
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
It's hard not to have fun doing what you love with a great group of creative individuals. Glad you like it. Thanks for watching :D
Charles T. Posted 7 months ago
I'm always entertained with this group. Every week has been fun to watch, can't wait to see more! Go War Paint!
Ryan B. Posted 7 months ago
Man I hate clowns
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Deep down we're all clowns ;)
Jacky D. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome! I think you did very well with this mission. It was interesting and yet left me wondering and wanting to know more at the end. I can't wait to see next week! Great work!
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Sweet! That's what we were going for! :D
Ashley S. Posted 7 months ago
My first thought was, i suppose laughter isn't language but then i thought ooo i lover her outfit. Nice work
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
It is a dangerous line we walk, Ashley, but we are certainly glad the costumes distracted you! Thanks for watching!
Shawn B. Posted 7 months ago
Nice build up with the laughing. The colours are great - the yellows and whites and reds really pop in that light, and create a bizarreness that suits the film.
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the kind words, Shawn! We @WarPaintMovie appreciate it :D
Sarah N. Posted 7 months ago
Strange and creepy. the makeup is amazing. I liked teh setting and teh costumes. I havnt seen your trailer yet. Gonna go watch it now
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think, Sarah :D
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Great editing, it definitely creates the tension needed for this scene. Make-up is amazing and it makes Corky stand out. Great job guys!
Marianne E. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting, leaves you wondering
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
I'm really freaked out by any mime/clown make-up, but I'm still interested to see what you're developing here. : )
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Who isn't??
Erin C. Posted 7 months ago
This mission is great because it really gives a chance for the filmmakers to show their ability to story tell. Fantastic job, well shot!
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Merci beaucoup, Erin!
Jenna R. Posted 7 months ago
i Really liked this mission laughing, mob mentality. i agree that Corky's choice could have been seen but I don't think he's going to do it.
Geoffrey S. Posted 7 months ago
or will he?....
Amanda C. Posted 7 months ago
Creepy
David C. Posted 7 months ago
Does Corky go through with it? He doesn't look like he really wants to? I'm curious as to when in the movie this takes place. Creepy. Well done team.
Richmain Y. Posted 7 months ago
very bad use of sound its like they only had laughter and and boring music to push the scene which was very boring.
Skye B. Posted 7 months ago
Great job!
Jamie T. Posted 7 months ago
seriously this movie keeps getting more and more creepy. I like the laughing though, kind of like the gooble goble scene from Freaks.
Jenna R. Posted 7 months ago
haha! never thought of it that way
Steven J. Posted 7 months ago
I've been a little confused as to why all of a sudden in the last two missions you've had entirely different clowns than are in the trailer/poster? the lack of continuity isn't really floating my boat but if you're working with what you can, then thats okay. On the other hand, this video was quite well done... at least I enjoyed it.
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
Same character, same actor (me) different look. Stay tuned to the next mission for further info ;)
Brad K. Posted 7 months ago
wow. not too sure what to make of that but still interesting to see. the laughing did add the much needed pace to it but got kind of off putting right before the end.
Kris B. Posted 7 months ago
weird. feels like Eyes Wide Shut with killer clowns. I feel like it didn't get me to the end of the scene organically but that being said... if the whole movie is paced this way it might fall in great. I think when he cuts that dude open with the knife flowers will pop out... seems like a good initiation into crazy clown club (but we all know what the first rule of crazy clown club is...)
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
You're not supposed to talk about the first rule of crazy clown club... or the 2nd! Sheesh! ;)
Bobbie-Gene H. Posted 7 months ago
Kinda creepy but what clown isn't?? The laughing got a little old but I still like the idea of killer clowns.
LeeAnn D. Posted 7 months ago
It was no doubt creepy, I felt suspense, and your element of evil and sinister was there, perhaps "demented" is more accurate.
Nole N. Posted 7 months ago
Nice effects make up is great less sound more music would have been better I'm going to watch trailer
Will R. Posted 7 months ago
Bold vision, but it felt a bit forced. I think you could have built more tension if the scene were completely silent.
Eliana D. Posted 7 months ago
I soooo took those pics! Awesome job guys! Turned out amazing!
Kev M. Posted 7 months ago
Great visuals, especially at the beginning. Left me wanting to know what happened which is definitely a good thing. Great job.
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Creepy and entertaining. This is a very interesting and different concept. I wish you well and am looking forward to seeing more from the team.
Scott M. Posted 7 months ago
Overall, I like this one... Although like Aiden, I found the laughing to become somewhat annoying... perhaps that was the point? ;-)
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
I really liked the intro with a nice sound mix of the ambient sound and the banjo (I think it was a banjo). However once it got to the clowns laughing the laughing becoming distracting and annoying.
Ayla L. Posted 7 months ago
I really liked this :P What do I think happens next? RUN DIAMOND EYE RUN!!! YOU DON'T GOTTA KILL HIM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO!
Trevor G. Posted 7 months ago
I "corky" appreciate your concern! lol. ;-)
Marnie D. Posted 7 months ago
Love the camera movement, I LUV the make-up. I am wanting more of this scene. The craziness of the clowns is bringing me to know more and more of their characters.
Jeremy S. Posted 7 months ago
great energy! love the editing on this...
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Why thank you Jeremy! It cut together quite nicely actually :D
Fernando P. Posted 7 months ago
As they removed the bag from his head, the only thing he could think was how much he hated clowns as a kid. As his throat was slit, and he saw his blood spurting on the ground, his last thought was "Yup, I still hate clowns."
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Fernando, it's like you were in my head!
Jim M. Posted 7 months ago
There needs to be a clear moment when Corky realizes the objective of his initiation. He kind of seems to blunder along with what's going on
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
Maybe that's cuz he isn't entirely sure what he's stepping into...don don donnnnnn!! ;)
Joseph T. Posted 7 months ago
Good stuff guys. This was a tough mission and your scene left a lot to be curious about! Bravo, from part of 'Slay to Rest'!
