powerful stuff here. thanks for doing such a great job on this. look forward to seeing more from you guys in the future
James D. Posted 5 months ago
Does he or doesn't he want to kill the woman? That is the question. Stay tuned.
Bren K. Posted 5 months ago
This looks really good excellent work team. It's no wonder that you made it as far as you have. Keep up the good work!
Natalie T. Posted 5 months ago
I like the trailer a lot more. This is slightly confusing but I still think everyone that got this far is great! Good luck!
Liz S. Posted 5 months ago
Wow very beautiful display of the cinematic art form! It has a lot to say about the magic and mystery of human beings. People can be so dualistic and film can give you the sense of tension and confusion that the character themselves feel. Cinecoup encourages one to add to the story or fill in the blanks, but in truth I believe I could not do it justice. It is obvious that these great filmmakers can tell a much better tale than I. It is a great peice of cinema and I am glad that I watched it. Thank you very much to the team I bet they have worked very hard to accomplish what they did.
Darren F. Posted 5 months ago
You can tell he's conflicted. The question being, is he conflicted enough to change? I think this film has the potential, and I hope that it's given a strong female lead.
Amber M. Posted 5 months ago
Very much the same as the trailer no..?
Jenna V. Posted 5 months ago
To be honest, I was kind of confused about what was going on. Were those flashback scenes, and why was the girl drawing on a rubber duck? Maybe its because its only 97 seconds long, and needs more context to make sense.
Pam A. Posted 5 months ago
Pretty intense! Very well done. I hope to see more of this film. Best of luck in the top five voting!
Foxbase A. Posted 5 months ago
I have to be honest I like your trailer and your film looks cool, but your speechelss video is a wee bit boring...
Rob H. Posted 5 months ago
This is a very intense and instrospective view of the main character's desire (or lack thereof?) to kill the woman. Yes?
Dana B. Posted 5 months ago
Precisely. There's always a struggle between what you perceive as your perfect life versus the compromise that a new relationship will bring with it.
Rob H. Posted 5 months ago
intense, would love to see it in context.
kael v. Posted 5 months ago
seems like a great film. love the mood through out the whole thing great choice of music. nice hung shot sound effect made me jump.
LEE C. Posted 5 months ago
This has the Lynchian feel.. good choice of haunting music punctuated with the gun shots
Sunny K. Posted 5 months ago
Nice work. The contrast between the more chill song and the sound of the gun keep it exciting without being overdone.
Luke M. Posted 5 months ago
Very moody! I like the main character's depth as it seems he's holding onto something. But I'm sure he falls for the brunette come on he has to!
Rob V. Posted 5 months ago
I'm picking The Fall to go thru to the top 5. Well done. I'm looking forward to seeing the full movie.
Milan S. Posted 5 months ago
Nice to see a professional team work together. I like the editing you did. The film looks great. Curious to see the whole story
Jacqueline F. Posted 5 months ago
I really want to see this one I really like it so far.
Sandra l. Posted 5 months ago
I like where you were going with this, no need for sound when it is one right. Good luck going forward
Diane N. Posted 5 months ago
Thumbs up for singing and music.
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
I really like the music and sound effects that you have choosen...they go hand in hand with each other
Julie N. Posted 6 months ago
"Adding sound to movies would be like putting lipstick on the Venus de Milo". Mary Pickford Mary pickford was a slut.
Adam M. Posted 6 months ago
Guns! Music! Old timey pictures! Sour dough bread! Crepes! Wicker furniture! This movie has it AAALLLLLLLLL
Jennifer K. Posted 6 months ago
She is so classic with her sweet song playing, her dark hair untangled-- the guns blaring a little lost in purpose of his troubled drive before he gets to his purpose of murder.
John M. Posted 6 months ago
Should he let the relationship continue? or just burst into the bathroom and put a bullet in her forehead
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
that could have made a good redux of the movie...like two different trailers
Jeff M. Posted 6 months ago
Speechless mission has left me speechless!! Excited to see how this film works out. Good luck Team!!!!
Melissa S. Posted 6 months ago
I am pretty particular on what I like, Though I don't follow where you are going with this at all, the shots are good
TJ H. Posted 6 months ago
Your lead female reminds me so much of Carey Mulligan, these are some great visuals but don't really let me know about the story.
Kristi H. Posted 6 months ago
Speechless mission has left me speechless!! Excited to see how this film works out. Good luck Team!
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
yes good luck
Alex M. Posted 6 months ago
Wow. The cinematography is out of this world. It feels like i'm actually there, ya feelz? Great for amateur filmmaking
Mital G. Posted 6 months ago
Great cinematography.
Andrew Q. Posted 6 months ago
Madness captured very effectively! Some of the gun-handling felt over-elaborate, but his expressions sell his torment.
Nathan G. Posted 6 months ago
This mission is perfect for your main character. Perhaps he should never talk... for fear that we discover how twisted he really is?!
Donald Y. Posted 6 months ago
This has great camera work and editing. I like the actors and the visuals. It tells a story well.
Seycove D. Posted 6 months ago
this could be a cool concept but it just doesnt grasp my attention as much as some of the other ones. but good luck!
Maddi M. Posted 6 months ago
not sure how i felt about this. i meant it was good but i wouldn't necessarily watch this as a movie.
Riley W. Posted 6 months ago
Wow great speechless video, or should I say great filmmaking from The Fall! Beautifully shot, intriguing concept! Team BAD
Wendy G. Posted 6 months ago
I expected new shots as well based on how you filmed the trailer. I think you could have used this venue to showcase much more
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
very good
Dan R. Posted 6 months ago
somewhat disappointed that this was not an entirely new shot, I think you guys could have done better.
Kimberly M. Posted 6 months ago
i cant say this is personally my favorite one. im not saying its bad its just not something i would personally go out of my way to watch
Elizabeth S. Posted 6 months ago
Would had been nice to see some more new footage. Marvelous quote though, and the music was a good contrast from the footage.
Melanie O. Posted 6 months ago
Layla C is correct. This is a revisit from your trailer. Aren't you to show us something new to keep us interested? A new scene would have been best, disappointing
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
Wish we could have seen something new. I really like what we've seen so far.
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
I like the quote you have under the video. The camera work is by far some of the best I've seen in the competition
Layla C. Posted 7 months ago
A lot of this was just taken out of your trailer. I would've like to have seen a whole new scene. But great job with the editing and music selection.
Adrian B. Posted 7 months ago
Yeah I like this one. It was shot really well with some good editing techniques. Good choice of score as well.
Will B. Posted 7 months ago
Great shots here, but I agree with Jamie M. in the sense that this didn't give me a more clear idea of the story...We will wait and see though! Good luck!
Jamie M. Posted 7 months ago
Nice guys, although this seemed like another trailer or montage and not exactly another scene. Would like to see somewhere set in one place.
Andrew L. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Barnaby and Team nice work! I'm digging what your throwing down...& excited to see more. Keep on Keeping on!
Candice M. Posted 7 months ago
Well done. Enjoyed the music too. Left us wondering at the end for sure. Yes am looking forward to the next
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Well edited together. It is a interesting clip. I would have liked to have seen something more but can appreciate that you are limited because you have professional working actors that are not free all the time. I am looking forward to your next mission video.
Naomi K. Posted 7 months ago
very well put together, with slick cuts and transitions. some shots are beauties...a few other have a slightly flatter digital look and need sprucing up.
Carol B. Posted 7 months ago
like an earlier post, did notice this large amount of existing footage used; read your reply, so can only add that it was again well put together and loved the music
Lindsay B. Posted 7 months ago
I truly love some of the shots in here...and they were so well edited with the song choice. What was it, btw?
Jason L. Posted 7 months ago
Really good visuals. Love the time lapse photography. The music works really well with the images. Good job!
Janelle S. Posted 7 months ago
This has some really interesting shots and angles! I enjoyed the lighting shifts alot and how you controlled the tone through it
Kelsey M. Posted 7 months ago
This looks like it will be a great film, and I really hope it makes it to the end. Best of luck to you!
Aaron S. Posted 7 months ago
BEautifuly shot and edited again, but this feels like a re-edit of existing footage. Can you give some details on what you shot specifically for this challenge?
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you for your comment. We did use, to be precise, 13 new shots in this week's mission. Perhaps you missed an early post, but our actors are working professionals and are unavailable to make a new video each week. I do hope this specifically answers your question. We do thank you for your honest comment.
Aaron S. Posted 6 months ago
Great answer, and thank you for putting some detail in to fully answer it. I had missed your earlier post, but, to be honest, I guessed from the quality that they would be, and I got an idea of the time constraints all the teams are under. Loving your work so far, keep it up and good luck with the top 15!
John K. Posted 7 months ago
You definitely have the chops to make a beautiful movie. Well done. Some of ths shots I. This piece were outstanding.
Vanessa W. Posted 7 months ago
I really like the imagery and the shots. The're very beautiful but I want a little more insight into the female character.
david p. Posted 7 months ago
Really enjoyed the camera layout in this but I want to see more of what the group can put forward and show us
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
the camera work here is awesome. i love the train shot. this just looks really well done and put together very professionally
Melanie K. Posted 7 months ago
I like that actress a lot. It's a good trailer...similar to the one you had before, yes? Very pretty though
Björn H. Posted 7 months ago
I still enjoy the shots and style you guys have going but this is basically just the trailer cut slightly different. Would like to see something new.
Rick A. Posted 7 months ago
There are some really nice shots here. Especially like the train. Good shots and it's cut well to the music.
Cory M. Posted 7 months ago
nice. I love the camera work. And the ending is great. It would be very interesting to see how it ends
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Great visuals and sound. The sequence could have had a better impact with a shorter edit. Though the narrative snapshot is clear and makes you wanna see more. Good job guys!
Jennifer C. Posted 7 months ago
This story has such potential. There are so many ways the it could go. I'm really interested to see which way they take it.
Paul H. Posted 7 months ago
Plenty of action in this video. Grabs the attention of the viewer. Would be interested in seeing more of this story.
Karyn T. Posted 7 months ago
Plenty of action in this video. Grabs the attention of the viewer. Would be interested in seeing more of this story.
Betty H. Posted 7 months ago
The killer can't help himself, does not obtain redemption, and kills the object of his redemption.
steve l. Posted 7 months ago
Enjoyed the editing and the music really suited the sequence. Really got a sense of the character's turmoil.
Nickolas B. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with the other comments in regards to giving a 'little tease more' then what we have already seen from the trailer... There's so much to love about this picture, I'm still a big fan to see it. Great song as well!
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Nickolas... Sadly for us, but awesome for our cast, they are out there starring in other great productions.
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
That is, until we can afford them with the 1 Million dollar 1st prize! Vote THE FALL! :-)
Jacquie G. Posted 7 months ago
beautiful !you guys are real filmmakers stay true to your vision as you have Pretty Life wants to see this movie
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jacquie. Loved your visuals in Pretty Life too. Beautifully shot.
David M. Posted 7 months ago
This felt a bit too much like the trailer to me. I'm still interested in the idea of where the story is going, but I'd really like to see a bit more here.
justin H. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty great camera work, the scenes are well thought out and tell the story very well. Like the car ;)
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
you're definitely talented - great cinematography and great actors. I just wish that you did something more than use the snip its from the trailer. Felt like I was just watching the trailer again with a cool song.
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Love the feel of this project and the acting is top notch. Seemed like a rehash of the trailer, but I'm just amazed at what the teams are able to pull off every week so it worked for me.
Wesley S. Posted 7 months ago
This feels too much like the trailer.. I would have like to see something gripping beween the two leads... What happens when when the went to breakfast.. or the drive or walk to the diner..
Jan B. Posted 7 months ago
Feel the inner conflict of the character, not sure if I like him or simply pity him. Good acting :).
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jan, that emotional conflict was what we were going for in this new cut of our scene.
Tami E. Posted 7 months ago
I love this latest version..Love the build-up..To quote Nicolas Winding.."You can't just be violent for violence sake, because it's not emotionally engaging, it becomes bad pornography." I'm engaged! : )
Dawn F. Posted 7 months ago
Be sure to add shots not in original trailer tho. Would have fueled better
Dawn F. Posted 7 months ago
This is shot well. Really like train and sky shots. The lady with the duck in the tub concern me lol
Keith H. Posted 7 months ago
Such a shame! I really love your concept and was hoping for a little more that what we saw in your original trailer. Still love this concept though and can't wait to see what else you guys kick out.
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for your response Keith. We felt that our original trailer had already accomplished the mission set forth, but then thought how we might approach the same material from a different pace and perspective.
Keith H. Posted 7 months ago
No worries and I totally understand where you guys are coming from! No matter where this contest goes I'll support this film.
And, by the way, it was great to see your lead in an episode of Bates Motel! I'd love to work with him.
- Keith (Team Van Gore)
