My understanding of this film is that the male lead is going through something strange and in the end it looks like he is probably being treated in a mental hospital.

I feel like the earth scenes should be slightly surreal. Either hyper-real or slightly colour shifted. Something to show that it isn't quite real. Unless of course the the script twist is that they're on earth the whole time.

Well, I am a fan of The Watchmen. But Archie wasn't a spaceship, it was a terrestrial "airship" that could fly, hover, etc. Oh yeah, and go underwater too! :)

I think this is a an example of what this mission was about. Short, simple and it raised questions that only seeing the movie will answer. And the lighting and camera work were great for a night scene.

The Never Man's nose starts bleeding and he's hit with the sudden urge to throw up. He runs to the bathroom and barely makes it, tossing his cookies all over his pants. When he starts to wash them, he finds an object in his pocket from that night from his past.

Interesting beginning - liked the sound design at the last transition back to the spaceship. I would have liked to see a greater divide between the two sets of people in terms of colour and lighting. Other than that, cool!

Eerily reminiscent of a sf classic called La Jette by the late Chris Marker. You may remember it as the inspiration for Gilliam's 12 Monkeys.

Thanks! Had to look "La Jette" up. I do remember hearing about it, but I have not seen it. I'm going to have to check it out! BTW, The Never Man is definitely not a time travel story.
