Dollar stores are glorious! Networking and asking favors are absolutely crucial - but what about those people that don't have pro industry connections?

great tricks

like seeing how to build the spaceship hallway
Lisa M. Posted 7 months ago
Cute format -- love the hat! I would have to guess that some of your volunteers are hoping that their contribution will be recognized with a paid gig in the feature, so this cost saving won't transfer over. Set design and small cast will help, though.
Cai G. Posted 7 months ago
Hurray For networking and a lot of free stuff
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice video... I'm still not sold on this being done well for a cool million...
KingPin L. Posted 7 months ago
Fair enough. All I can say is that the FX will be used very sparingly and mostly it's the very human story at the core that will drive the film.
Dina B. Posted 7 months ago
i love the studio, beautifully done
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Great job-keep up the good work! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Mark R. Posted 7 months ago

Good ideas but they're not working for you, still doesn't look higher budget than it is, keep tryin.
sonia r. Posted 7 months ago
Love your cheap tricks!
stephanie z. Posted 7 months ago
Keep going guys! Getting there...amusing to see KSC :)
Aaron S. Posted 7 months ago
I love the concept, but the CG really threw me. What are you going to do to bring this up to par for the feature?
KingPin L. Posted 7 months ago
We put the trailer together with very little time, with no money and on everyone's spare time because everyone involved has day jobs. But since the call out was for a proof-of-concept trailer, it did the trick. For the actual film we'll be using much better effects because we'll have more time and people in the FX industry to bring it the CG to life. Plus we'll also have an art director to help flesh out the visual design.
Aaron S. Posted 7 months ago
Sounds like you've got a decent plan there, I genuinely hope you get to make it.
Mary R. Posted 7 months ago
Love your frugal style!
Kevin G. Posted 7 months ago
Cool use of a budget and I loved the reference to KSC at the end!
