this script needs much more development and a new take on the old tired zombie theme. Please keep working at it
Mi C. Posted 5 months ago
very resourceful
Tyler O. Posted 5 months ago
Taking to yourself - nice touch!
Kaitlyn G. Posted 5 months ago
I'm just not interested in zombie movies. I feel like it has been done before. No matter the tricks.
Richard P. Posted 6 months ago
We didn't make the Top 15 cut BUT that doesn't mean we're dead by a long shot. Stay tuned for PNOTLD updates! www.facebook.com/PNOTLD
Live Long And Zombie

Not even a colourist can disguise a bad lighting set up. Most people might be fooled, but executives in this industry can spot shady work a mile away.
ronald s. Posted 6 months ago
Though I am a bit tired of all zombie movies, I like your team and I really liked this video
Eric M. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Ronald. We appreciate your support.

Interesting interview techniques.

It either helps cut down on the bias or increases it. We're not sure yet.
Becca R. Posted 6 months ago
prom night of the living dead
Jordan L. Posted 6 months ago
Good luck
Eric M. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Jordan.
Ange M. Posted 6 months ago
Not sure where the cheap tricks are?
Eric M. Posted 6 months ago
Our "cheap tricks" are more in our ability to stretch a production dollar by doing all of the post ourselves instead of hiring outside facilities. Those tech costs add up quick.
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
best of luck guys
Sabrina S. Posted 6 months ago
looks like you needed some inspiration.
Dan R. Posted 6 months ago
Not over the top impressed, some good points made though
Dave S. Posted 6 months ago

Nate J. Posted 6 months ago
Whoa...I'm seeing double
Kyle H. Posted 7 months ago
Like the idea, and always love a good horror flick, but yeah this was boring.
Tanya G. Posted 7 months ago
You are talented at what you do but have seen this many times in other movies. I was bored by this video.
Andy M. Posted 7 months ago
Definitely helps when you have additional skill sets.
jerry lee c. Posted 7 months ago
hehehehe
Roy K. Posted 7 months ago
This was. Tough assignment and there are a lot of tricks. I think this makes sense
Chado M. Posted 7 months ago
Wouldn't say it's a 'cheap' trick - you spent time n money learning post, and you talked about hiring ppl to do things - neither of which are 'cheap'. BUUUUT - I would definitely agree that you have to use every trick in your hat when you're an indie filmmaker -
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Beg, borrow and steal my friend. The indie film ethos.
Casey G. Posted 7 months ago
Definitely counts as a cheap trick.
Jen P. Posted 7 months ago
Good job!
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
nothing spectacular but i have no complaints about this video either.
Carly J. Posted 7 months ago

Branden S. Posted 7 months ago
Good video, its nice to see everyone getting as much production value as they can for the contest!!!
Meika A. Posted 7 months ago
good approach
Nathan M. Posted 7 months ago
I love this trick one of my favorites. The ol' back and forth still makes me chuckle. Plus a short video always helps, good job.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Nathan.
Nathan M. Posted 7 months ago
You're welcome. I enjoy giving possitive feedback.
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
Pleasantly cheap...I like it
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
creative approach but would've liked to see more of the tricks being done
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
We originally planned to have more of Richard's reel in this mission but it didn't really work.

Thomas A. Posted 7 months ago
Neat to see what a colourist can do!
Derek F. Posted 7 months ago
That's clever. Simple and effective.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
That's exactly what we were hoping for. There's was a split screen shot that didn't make it passed the cutting room floor sadly.
Lee L. Posted 7 months ago
fun stuff:)
Darren R. Posted 7 months ago
nice Cheap Tricks vid ...
Leslie P. Posted 7 months ago
Don't worry, I talk to myself too...
John C. Posted 7 months ago
Its true these post production costs can be steep. Save where you can if you have the talent. Sound and image make or break the film. Nice work.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks John, we agree you can have an amazing cast but if the sound and image let you down you really lose a lot of your movie.
Joelle W. Posted 7 months ago
haha, nice.
Shannon M. Posted 7 months ago
Nice
Lisa L. Posted 7 months ago
Not the most creative cheap trick video..
Cai G. Posted 7 months ago

Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
I agree...;)
Dan M. Posted 7 months ago

Lisa B. Posted 7 months ago
It has already been said, but a "Prom Night of the Living Dead"... more blood!
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
THERE WILL BE BLOOD.
Shannon H. Posted 7 months ago
I want to see that money spent on more blood and gore! Good luck!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Don't worry lots of blood and gore coming!!!
Liam C. Posted 7 months ago
Nice!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Liam!

Can't wait to see more from this team!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Can't wait to show you more!!
Gill R. Posted 7 months ago
Great to see before and after shots of the editing, any chance of a video showing what software/effects/filters were used?
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
I think that would be a great mission honestly. Everyone making a video about their creative or technical process. Maybe that's something to save for the IndieGoGo part of the competition?
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Gill, I used a little simple color correct from FCP. Followed up with NEAT Video Plugin (super cheap and effective: http://www.neatvideo.com/) And finished it off with TIFFEN DFX look (http://www.tiffensoftware.com/). Tiffen is a bit pricey but once a year it's usually half off. Given a longer time line and a better colorist I think you can achieve a similar effect w/o it but TIME is always against us!
Sue T. Posted 7 months ago
Not very convincing, but still interested to see more of this project.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
All we ask is that you bear with us and keep an open mind. We've done some pretty great things with no money in the past. We hope to dazzle you soon.
