Claudette B. Posted 6 months ago

R2 D. Posted 7 months ago
I don't want to know. I just want to watch it!
Kathy S. Posted 7 months ago
I think Lake Cop is a movie that will not be recognized for its originality and Canadian relevancy until the full story unfolds and it hits the big screen. Hopefully Cinecoup will help this brilliant team of writers, directors and supporting players to bring this to fruition. It is not another dime store horror flick of which there is way too many. It has superb content and needs to be told.
R2 D. Posted 7 months ago
hip hip hooray, agreed!
Kathy S. Posted 7 months ago
Great pitch and no cheap tricks here, just raw talent on a zero budget. This film needs to hit the big screen.
Fanny B. Posted 7 months ago
Look forward to seeing more!
Siobhan M. Posted 7 months ago
Neat tricks!
Kenya H. Posted 7 months ago
Wow, amazing to watch. Can't imagine how you do it!
Tawni B. Posted 7 months ago
Kinda wish you'd given up a little something..

Love the water ski trick. I think I know how you did it.
Georgia M. Posted 7 months ago
Damn this movie looks hilarious. Showboarding on Hoth FTW!!! Also loved the "no to" waterskiing scene. Hilarious!
Jeevin J. Posted 7 months ago
I will crack the mystery behind this water ski trick! But I won't tell. Great work.
Donald Y. Posted 7 months ago
It looks like the team could make a movie with a small budget, but so many are making films with even less. This doesn't tell us how a dollar can be stretched to serve as several more.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
This shows your creativeness, good job. I wish i knew how you did the water skiing trick but i can understand your secrecy.
Lauren M. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool!
John K. Posted 7 months ago
I'm commenting to build votes. I also do like your project, a lot. This video was lazy :) call me ;)
Andrew M. Posted 7 months ago
Looking good lake cop.
Alex K. Posted 7 months ago
Love it, I agree with Candice, and I look forward to seeing more of your project!!
Candice M. Posted 7 months ago
Using a wynch or even a boom set-up on the boat would enable you to create a two effect without having to transpose footage!
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Not exactly sure how you mean, but sounds dangerous! :P
Yvonne L. Posted 7 months ago
Why is it that talented filmmakers can work on micro budgets and the big film studios need millions? Just shows you there is alot of creative ingenious talent in the pool...that the studios are ignoring. Good work!
Wesley S. Posted 7 months ago
No budget is a good budget it seems! Good work saving millions! And lakes too.
Enzo V. Posted 7 months ago
Good work.
Jess R. Posted 7 months ago

good work guys
James O. Posted 7 months ago
Sometimes the expenditures of large budget films is overwhelming. With a little creativity, you've shown that big stunts can be achieved with little to no budget!
Ben F. Posted 7 months ago
what was your mustache budget? lol
Kirby R. Posted 7 months ago
Cool
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
Snowboarding on the remote system of Hoth!
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago

Leslie M. Posted 7 months ago
what was the cheap trick?
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
The self-propelled waterskiing, but no spoilers! But also I was highlighting all the visual effects, which was all done by the director.
Pritpal R. Posted 7 months ago

Dominic R. Posted 7 months ago
Can't tell if you're joking or serious about the explosions. Like your team though
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Well, half and half. I think it's good for 3 years old, with no budget, and one guy doing it all. Thanks!
Thalia M. Posted 7 months ago
micro-budgets! yeah!
Evelyn M. Posted 7 months ago
Looks interesting!
Thomas A. Posted 7 months ago
Ha!
Tyler R. Posted 7 months ago
it would be nice to see how you did some of your cheap tricks
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago

Darren p. Posted 7 months ago

Sandy P. Posted 7 months ago
Haha, I enjoyed this for sure!
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
really like the concept but would like to hear more about how you would be able to shoot the larger moment with a limited budget.
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Hire small crew from Winnipeg, shoot at Rainy Lake, with free access to boats and cabins.
Tim E. Posted 7 months ago
Would have liked to have seen more information about stretching the budget
Rod M. Posted 7 months ago
Not sure I understand that.
Shannon H. Posted 7 months ago
Must say I did love snowboarding on Hoth.
Christa R. Posted 7 months ago
good luck!
Sean C. Posted 7 months ago

Kendra W. Posted 7 months ago

Chris J. Posted 7 months ago
if yuo guys dont win this competition, dont abondon this project, id be pumped to open netflix one day and see this there!
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Chris, one of my partners taught me years ago a project is never dead. Lake Cop came before this contest, and will outlast it. :)
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
The waterskiing is literally my favorite effect EVER. I like how this video is short and sweet too. I think you guys should be careful when mixing your dialogue and music together, it was borderline difficult to understand the dialogue over the music. Definitely not horrible just something to keep in mind.
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jonathon, you're right, tip noted. I wasn't satisfied, but I'm making these vids myself under pressure, and ran out of time.
Jonathon C. Posted 7 months ago
You're doing a great job then. Either way I think Lake Cop is my favorite idea.
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the comments. If fans really want to see more, i'm going to need more support. I'm happy to address your questions.
Adam S. Posted 7 months ago
Cheese!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
You've definitely placed a decent amount of effort into your trailer - wish you'd spent a little more on your mission.
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Michelle, but I really don't have the time or resources that some other teams seem to have. I don't expect people to understand. The trailer wasn't made for this contest, but I'm trying to stay afloat. Please keep watching :)
Adam W. Posted 7 months ago
Snowboarding on Hoth, two of my passions in one!
Andy O. Posted 7 months ago
Great S@#$!
Joslyn P. Posted 7 months ago
It's cool how you didn't have to use editing to incorporate the self propelled waterski. Likewise I do believe that the explosions and gunshots need a bit more work but its amazing what people can do with such a small budget
Josh P. Posted 7 months ago
I was hoping to find out how you did the self propelled water skis but I can tell that some resourcefulness was needed good job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I want to see the snowboarding video Brent. Can you send it to me? Lake Cop. I still love it pretty hard.
Brent C. Posted 7 months ago
Yup, right here: http://vimeo.com/22182750
Aaron S. Posted 7 months ago
In the feature would you plan to refine one transport effect or try and put more and more variations into it?
Aaron D. Posted 7 months ago
a little less ham, more info
Todd M. Posted 7 months ago
Want to see more.
June B. Posted 7 months ago
Yeah, pretty hard to fake water-skiing. :) Explosion needs work. Love the title graphic on the deck boards. Very cool.
Peter B. Posted 7 months ago
ugh Lake cop, come on!:P gimme more info about cheap tricks!! I see potential in this movie but I want MORE!!!!
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
Looks better than Water World already!
Chado M. Posted 7 months ago
Awwww - your trailer is fantastic - don't get lazy on us now! Hoping the next mission you guys submit a video.
Brenna T. Posted 7 months ago
