interesting to see another side to what "cheap tricks" can mean. nice work!
Andrew O. Posted 5 months ago
This has all the pieces in place for high production value at a lower cost.
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
That's what we're hoping to accomplish absolutely!
Becca H. Posted 5 months ago
I can't wait to see the finished product! You guys are hilarious.

Matty G. Posted 5 months ago

Kathy L. Posted 5 months ago
People are the best when they are cheap.
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
Like Elvis impersonators! Way cheaper than the real thing.
Celene C. Posted 5 months ago
I like how the way a shot is taken makes it look so much more than it is. Discussion of editing is great, the magic of film, its great
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Celene!! Much appreciated!
Zoltan M. Posted 5 months ago
Awesome effort you guys!
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago

Paolo M. Posted 6 months ago
Too funny! Good job!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you so much Paolo!
Kreme T. Posted 6 months ago
That was kind of confusing - the examples seemed to be about another film project and not Alien abduction. But the dressing your bad guys the same tip was great.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
AA was designed to be such a simple shoot that there weren't many cheap tricks to speak of. Thought that by highlighting the people we're bringing to the project and the massive bags of tricks they bring, we show the value we have built in for the feature!
TBiddy U. Posted 6 months ago
alright.... nice. i like.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Many thanks!!
August W. Posted 6 months ago
Very clever ideas and so well executed. Great work!

Looks like you have great people and are having fun. I love seeing how things are put together. I think it's awesome.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you so much! If it wasn't fun to do, why do it?
Gerjet B. Posted 6 months ago
It is always fascinating, how you can do amazing thingy, with the "cheapest" tools. Good effects need no fancy GCI explosions and such, passion and creativity are the source of cinematic magic. And it is interesting to see, what were the basics of "Peter Blue" ;)
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Hey Gerjet! Thanks for the awesome comment! If you really want to know the inspiration...look no further than here: http://youtu.be/YumwwfjJW18
Rob B. Posted 6 months ago
Looks like lots of great people on the project -- doesn't look all that cheap.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
It's the knowledge the people bring that saves the money!
Mike K. Posted 6 months ago
Totally agree.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!
Cindy C. Posted 7 months ago

Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks a bunch Jon! Chad is amazing and so good to work with.
Kristie P. Posted 7 months ago
very informative and a great behind the scenes look on how to sell a film with a small budget!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Budgets are a luxury, so we make due with what we have to make the story fit! Thanks for the nice comment!
Trish M. Posted 7 months ago
thanks for sharing, good job
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Trish!
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Some interesting tricks suggested. Great examples of what you have done in the past. I would have liked to have seen one example from your "Alien abduction" trailer.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Lots of tricks here indeed, Luckily AA didn't need a whole lot of them. We simply shot for the budget we had!
olive f. Posted 7 months ago
very professional, enjoyable -- love the 'people' emphasis
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Olive!
XinLi H. Posted 7 months ago
Having a crew member doing all those different position is literally the best budget saves. This is some very cool stuff going here.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks a bunch XinLi!
Phil B. Posted 7 months ago
Nice rundown of economical film tricks. And so true about an editor's role... putting a shoot's disparate raw elements together after the fact can truly bring magic!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
And having his awareness of sound design as we cut is an amazing asset!
Janelle S. Posted 7 months ago
The humor here is wicked I love it. I love the honesty of the work it takes to make a film
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Janelle!
Allen M. Posted 7 months ago
I have a lot of confidence that you guys are going to be able to do some very cool things for a very manageable budget
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Allen! Learning on the small projects is an excellent proving ground for when it counts on a much larger scale.
Casey G. Posted 7 months ago
Just to add another kick to the long dead horse, I also feel an example of an intended cheap trick for this production would have been the right call.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
That's why we included the chicken picture. WE knew we had no dough for this, so it was written to be shot simply. No real cheap tricks were needed.
Fraser C. Posted 7 months ago
Blood sweat and tears all go into making movie magic. Great passion, great team, great job! Awesome.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Fraser!
Jen P. Posted 7 months ago
Sooooo good!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Jen!
Aniko K. Posted 7 months ago

Thank you so much Aniko!
Aniko K. Posted 7 months ago
Solid crew and a solid mission outcome!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!!
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
The tricks here were nicely laid out, as many have stated below it would have been nice to see some for this film, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Colin!
Shaelyn L. Posted 7 months ago
I liked hearing about everyone's previous experience, but I would've liked to have heard about how you would be using cheap tricks for this film :)
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Our trailer was shot in a way where cheap tricks weren't really needed. We knew we had no money to work with and wanted to show the people who help bring our projects both past and future to life!
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
I wish you had better used this mission to talk about this project, not all of your old projects and what your team has done on all of them. How are they valuable for this in relation to this new story you are trying to bring to life?
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Good point Dana. These are the folks with the vast bags of tricks that will bring AA to life! Luckily we didn't need too many tricks on the trailer.
Roman G. Posted 7 months ago
Talent is not a cheap trick, sometimes it costs a lot of time to achieve. Hope it's understandable.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
The 10 000 hour rule!
Carol B. Posted 7 months ago

Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Carol!
Ann B. Posted 7 months ago

Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Branden!
Branden S. Posted 7 months ago
Good job everyone. Good cheap tricks video. Nice to see everyone putting so much into these projects!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!
Janne H. Posted 7 months ago
I like the dressing of bad guys in the same costume trick!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
There are millions of wee things like that that all these great support crew know. It's a great resource.
Andie Q. Posted 7 months ago

If you dont have enough lights, bounce the ones you do have!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
Not too keen on your trailer but you've definitely got a great team here.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Have faith Michelle! We have a few unexpected surprises in store.
Zaid L. Posted 7 months ago
Great Team!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Zaid!
Charles T. Posted 7 months ago
Great team!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Charles!
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago

Rob L. Posted 7 months ago
You guys are worth a million and 1 bucks
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I need about three fiddy.
Julie H. Posted 7 months ago
Shoot through a chicken! ^_^
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago

Charlie M. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work guys! =)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Charlie M!! The guy Tony Dogs was protecting when Joe Pesci crushed his head in a vice??? Oh man!
Todd M. Posted 7 months ago
You've put together a good team from the looks of it. And it's true... A good team will save you $. And sometimes sweat can save $
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Todd!! You know it!
Stefanie C. Posted 7 months ago
the experienced crew shows in your work
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! Hope to bring you more as the weeks progress!
Dave R. Posted 7 months ago
They landed an awesome score with Patrick Gilmore. Totally saved money on that doctor scene when he was searching for alien probing!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Patrick is an amazing actor. Wait til you see the scene we shot for the Week 4 Mission!
Max V. Posted 7 months ago
Very funny
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!
David T. Posted 7 months ago
You've really got a professional looking thing going here
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks David!
Jim L. Posted 7 months ago
Far beyond an amateur production
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Some grizzled veterans on team AA that's for sure!
Bill G. Posted 7 months ago
A creative team that generates such production assets and human resources indicates not only the wonderful leadership they bring to the production but also to the faith that those involved in the production have in the leadership and creative team. I value that and would put that up against anything or anyone.
Nikki W. Posted 7 months ago
sweet stuff!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Many thanks Nikki!!
Tyler E. Posted 7 months ago
Keep up the good work guys!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Tyler! Lots more to come!
Susie T. Posted 7 months ago
cool ideas.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Working on more for you soon!
Geoff S. Posted 7 months ago
I agree that the best resource is the mind and skills of those you surround yourselves with, looks like a great team and I look forward to seeing this project finished.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you so much Geoff! Much appreciated!
Annika H. Posted 7 months ago
love a good team!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We'd be nowhere without them all thats for sure!
Jim M. Posted 7 months ago
Good tips
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Jim! Lot's of talented folks around us!
Paul H. Posted 7 months ago
lots of cool ideas, but talk more about this production
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We certainly intend to! 10 missions to go!
Clayton P. Posted 7 months ago
I think you guys showed a lot of neat tricks, but I would have liked it if your video featured this particular production, not just your previous works.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Lots more missions to come and I'm sure we'll have much more info!
Tyson L. Posted 7 months ago
Mirrors, eh?
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
And smoke.
Sam L. Posted 7 months ago
I saw you guys responding to peoples' skeptical comments by saying that your cost for the trailer was $0. There is some falsification in your claims.
You can only say your total cost was $0 if you acknowledge that you are excluding opportunity cost, the cost of pre-existing capital, etc. What about costumes and makeup? Did you create those resources out of thin air? They still come with a cost, even if you happened to own these materials before shooting the trailer.
I appreciate the value you put on your team, but failing to address the cost of raw materials and human capital is an inherent flaw in your justification for the mission video's content. Just something to think about as you respond to future comments.
Enigma A. Posted 7 months ago
falsification???...did you think for a few seconds that perhaps the items you questioned as having a cost were in fact DONATED to the project. In other words, they didn't cost the THE PROJECT A NICKEL.
Sam L. Posted 7 months ago
Nothing in life is free. Donations are great, but they won't carry a feature film.
Even with donations, SOMEONE has to pay. Just because it didn't cost "The Granger Bros" anything, doesn't mean it doesn't incur a cost. If they win the competition and use the $1 million film budget, it won't have cost THEM anything, but that still doesn't mean their movie will have been made from a budget of $0.
How about their cameras? Their computers? Their software? And once again - unless they disclaim the opportunity cost of the human capital that supposedly worked for free, the cost of the trailer was not $0.
Enigma A. Posted 7 months ago
"doesn't mean it doesn't incur a cost." LET ME REPEAT...it didn't cost THE GRANGER'S a nickel....which is precisely what they claim. and you continue to devolve to spurious arguments that no one but YOU are making
Sam L. Posted 7 months ago
I'm not even going to argue with you. You clearly didn't read my comment properly.
Enigma A. Posted 7 months ago
"I'm not even going to argue with you. You clearly didn't read my comment properly. "
Whatever you say, Milton Friedman
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Ok Sameena. I get what you're saying. How is this? All materials, locations, props, wardrobe, make-up, manpower, equipment, set decoration, post production facilities including editing, color correction, sound mixing, editing, composing and so on and so forth was donated or supplied by our respective companies. Even the beer was donated by Cariboo brewing, which was awesome...and if I may be so bold...delicious. I absolutely see your point though Sameena, but if we were to factor in the cost of the machines that mined the ore to make the metal in the lamps and C-stands, I'm sure we are probably millions of dollars over budget and that's terribly embarrassing. We have been lucky to have friends around our projects who generously and kindly support what we do, and that is the point of this entire thing. Now let's play nice kids and leave the semantics to the government.
Sam L. Posted 7 months ago
Sorry man, but a team that can't accept feedback without a snarky retort doesn't get to stay on my watchlist.
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
Clearly nothing in life is free. Many of the cheap tricks in this competition have been surrounding yourself with "free talent". Obviously their time, equipment costs something but the whole idea of cibecoup's competition is finding unknown, talented filmmaker a who don't have the means to create a big or even small budget film. I think you are being really picky about something quite insignificant in this whole process. Look at skill, writing, film quality opposed to $$.
Holly W. Posted 7 months ago
it said i had 5 more votes, matty i cannot find them, could be the #shots but im looking for them everywhere.....just wanted you to know...xo holly :)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Shots?! Are you voting drunk? Explains a lot!
Bo H. Posted 7 months ago
Wicked!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Bo!
Matt H. Posted 7 months ago
Woop! Woop!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I was gonna end the video with the disco call but they wouldnt let me.
Kate M. Posted 7 months ago
You guys are pretty funny!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Funny like how? Like I'm some kinda clown? Like I'm here to amuse you? Tell how I'm funny! HOW AM I FUNNY?!
Rachel L. Posted 7 months ago
nicely done!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Many thanks Rachel!
David P. Posted 7 months ago
Interview sections against the black background could use some back lighting but otherwise looks great
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We're too cheap for that! HA! Thanks David!
Patrick C. Posted 7 months ago
So your cheap trick is to build relationships with talented people in the industry. That's a great tip.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
There's a great quote by astronaut Ken Mattingly that you just reminded me of...
"We all are in this together as a team effort. We're gonna make it work. And I don't know how to make it work. I don't know how to do most of this mission, the many parts that other people are assigned to do, but I do know, and I can assure you that my piece of it is gonna work, and it won't fail because of me. It won't fail because of me."
Panta M. Posted 7 months ago
EXCELLENT job!!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hey! Thank you!! I think that's the first CAPS LOCK we've had! We have arrived!!!!!
Casey P. Posted 7 months ago
good job you guys
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks a ton Casey!
Eric T. Posted 7 months ago
Mmmm chicken.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We then cooked it and served it for crew lunch. (Cheap trick #347)
Betty K. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting process! I learned a few things :)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
That's awesome! Hope to bring you lots more soon!
Rolinda R. Posted 7 months ago
Well done
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Actually it's medium rare, but thanks!
monica l. Posted 7 months ago
You're all so talented. I can't wait to see what you do full length and with an awesome theme. ;)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Next Sunday our first scene will be posted here! Get a look into something unexpected! (Not a butthole)
Beverley R. Posted 7 months ago
Talented
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
You think that's good, you should see Mikey dance!
Joan M. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting, ,
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Indeed...(twirls mustache)
Brendan R. Posted 7 months ago
I wanted to see a bit more about what you did in Alien Abduction, not to mention some of the logic behind designing the alien in the way you did, but otherwise thought it showed you have some real talent backing your project.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Brendan! AA was such a quick and easy shoot, we really thought it would be interesting for everyone to see the people behind all the tricks and what they will bring to the feature!
Lucas P. Posted 7 months ago
Mostly showed off previous work, otherwise looks good.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Lucas!
Stephen M. Posted 7 months ago
right on! very interesting
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Stephen!
Jordan R. Posted 7 months ago
Wicked
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Heh! Awesome.
Mickey B. Posted 7 months ago
Great concept and nice kudos to the talent
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you so much! Much appreciated!
Cam L. Posted 7 months ago
I am seriously LOVING this short guys!! amazing super original concept, and great funny script too... but where's all the info on THIS film??
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Cam! We shot the AA trailer to simply be efficient and fast. 10 hours and $0. We wanted to show the vast bag of tricks that our crew will bring to the feature itself!
Cam L. Posted 7 months ago
Wow... incredibly impressive to produce something so awesome in only 10 hours! You guys have one of the best and most original concepts in the competition... with or without the funding I would really like to see this project get off the ground! keep up the fantastic work!
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Totally believe you guys can pull this off. I like that you've equated your experience with how you'll save money in this new film.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Katie! We're just getting started!
Nicholas C. Posted 7 months ago
So... what about this movie? There's a lot a here on previous stuff, but I would have liked to see some information about this project.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Nicholas! The people here and their significant bags of tricks are the people who will be with us on the feature version of Alien Abduction. With all the upcoming missions you'll be sure to see much of what we have planned in the future!
Dylan S. Posted 7 months ago
Neat!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!!
David T. Posted 7 months ago
you're not even talking about your movie in the contest
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We're talking about the people we worked with on AA and the bags of tricks they bring to the contest and the value of their skills when the feature version takes off! They truly are our secret weapon!
Em K. Posted 7 months ago
Yeah, but what are your cheap tricks?
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Access to gear, locations and chickens are ok to talk about but when it comes to making a feature film, it's about the much bigger value an experienced team brings to your show! Anyone can rub money on a problem but it takes an experienced team to use their unique skills to make the feature version economical!
Danny M. Posted 7 months ago
Good hustlers! How'd I miss u guys before?
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Danny! We tend to lurk and skulk. If Aliens were easy to see they'd be terrible abductors!
Jermaine L. Posted 7 months ago
This a very insightful piece about the filmmaking process in general, but there is nothing mentioned about Alien Abduction.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
These are the people that we used to make AA and these are some of the tricks they regularly employ. That's how we were able to shoot the trailer in 10 hours for $0!
Gavin M. Posted 7 months ago
This is the first Cheap Trick video that I've seen actually name and reference the PEOPLE: the Production Designer, the Editor/Sound Designer, the Stunt Coordinator?!! GREAT JOB. Featuring the quality of your creative team and their resourcefulness is a million times better than the "We have access to this gear and we did this little tech trick" I've seen in these so far.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Gavin! It's like the Apollo Program. 1000s of skilled folks sent three people to the moon.
Mark B. Posted 7 months ago
I like the rich history of skill you guys bring to your project. One question: what tricks do you have for your alien?
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We're designing him now! Starting on paper and then finding inexpensive ways through our friends in SFX-MU who have a whole bag of tricks of their own!
Lisa B. Posted 7 months ago
I love this story! I would have liked to hear what you want to do now, rather that what you have done.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you so much Lisa! There are so many missions ahead that our plans will most certainly be shown here in the coming weeks! Stay tuned because we have lots in store!
Kaitlyn M. Posted 7 months ago
You've definitely given me a sense of the really talented crew you've got here. I would have liked to see more about actual cost cutting though - Cinecoup's shown that there are lots of teams with talented people!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We had no costs. We shot it in ten hours for $0 with the great people mentioned here. The real cheap trick was returning all the bottles I had for the entry fee.
Rick A. Posted 7 months ago

Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you so very much! We appreciate it!
Sarah N. Posted 7 months ago
wow good job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you!!
Christopher L. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys. keep it up
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you so much!
Marc B. Posted 7 months ago
The only way Alien Abduction can be improved is by giving me a walk on role.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Vast improvement! VAAAAAAST. Thanks again!
Tina V. Posted 7 months ago
pretty cool and great explanations of some the tools of the trade
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
All things we will bring to our feature production! Thank you Tina!
Barry S. Posted 7 months ago
Looks like you guys are doing an awesome job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Barry! A lot of good folks who love making movies!
Shannon H. Posted 7 months ago
Would love to hear more about your project for Cinecoup rather than your older projects, but cool ideas!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
These are just a little sample of the millions of little tricks our team has for the feature of Alien Abduction! We have a lot to accomplish and a lot of ways to do it! Thanks for your support Shannon!
Dianne S. Posted 7 months ago
Good info on some of the cheap tricks you use. It will be great to see when they actually are put into play.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I can't wait myself!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
You'll be guaranteed to see a million little tricks when we make Alien Abduction!
Sue M. Posted 7 months ago
Totally agree about having a talented and experienced crew
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Sue! I could not agree more!
Matthew S. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome job. But what if the crew itself is expensive? Maybe putting together an "exceptional and experienced crew" is the most EFFICIENT trick, but I don't know if I agree about it being the best cheap trick
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you so much! We all have to pay our crews but it's the experience of people like Tony, Kirby and Kirk and those millions of little tricks they know that save the money when it counts the most! You should check them out on IMDb! Some incredible experience!
Deadline M. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys! Looking forward to more!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
So are we!! Thanks a million!
Fernando P. Posted 7 months ago
Great to hear about a werewolf transformation, but I didn't learn much about how you use "cheap tricks' for Alien Abduction in the clip.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Since AA was such a simple shoot (10 hrs - $0) we chose to show how this team of ours performs on a larger scale with actual budgets and deadlines. All of these skills are directly related to the success of anything we've done or will do! And sadly the chicken wasn't available for an interview that day. Agents...pft.
Dinah H. Posted 7 months ago
Good point!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Dinah!
Michael L. Posted 7 months ago
You are right. Having an experienced crew is the next best thing to having an amazing script! -- [Mr. Tom]
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I couldn't agree more! Thanks!
Nicole H. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome!! Great mission!! Capturing :)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Nicole! I'm really looking forward to showing you our next two missions!
Nicole H. Posted 7 months ago
I am looking forward to seeing it too! Actually cant wait.
Ann-Marie S. Posted 7 months ago
This is the most AWESOMENESS team a film can have
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
HA! Many thanks!
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Great job as always guys! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks you guys!!
Emma S. Posted 7 months ago
Good stuff! Felt like a very professional pitch. How much did that town cost to create? Looked amazing.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much! I'd have to look in on the cost for that set but I know it was cobbled together very inexpensively!
Benjamin O. Posted 7 months ago
Is there any way that Tony could make my room look like the surface of Mars...just asking...amazing team you have compiled. Seems like you bring the best out in everyone you work with.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Mars no. Now Jupiter on the other hand...
Susan C. Posted 7 months ago
It's all about putting the best people together, congrats on a funny, creative production.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Luckily we are blessed with many good people on both sides of the camera.
Holly W. Posted 7 months ago
love this video! wanna see the entire movie! - am tweeting hoping to not be put in jail for spam - :)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Now that's a real fan! Risking virtual incarceration for us! Much much love!
Shawn L. Posted 7 months ago
Looks great you guys! Cool stories
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg! Check out our IMDB pages for more of the scoop, the skinny and all thats fit to print!
Andy O. Posted 7 months ago
Great work! Looking forward to your next mission video!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
It's going to be a 90 second scene from the film. Stay tuned!
Aaron S. Posted 7 months ago
I have to ask, who's idea was the chicken? Gross/Amazing!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
The trans-chicken-shot was dreamed up by our Production Designer Tony Wohlgemuth who is also the chicken's agent.
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
great cheap tricks but would've been cool to see the cheap tricks you used in alien abduction. You really only described what you used in other shorts.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We went for a larger view of the skill set here because AA was a very basic shoot. Ten hours, zero dollars and a great cast and crew around us. Although, I would consider a documentary in the future about shooting through poultry.
Teela B. Posted 7 months ago
I'll support anything that isn't zombies.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I've been watching Walking Dead and have discovered that zombies are just sort of an inconvenience more than an actual threat. The road-cone of monsters.
Lee H. Posted 7 months ago
yeah aliens!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Aliens are the new zombies, which were the new robots a few years back.
Jordan N. Posted 7 months ago
you can put million dollars into effects but having the best cast and crew make the movie so much better
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Amen to that my friend!
David M. Posted 7 months ago
Putting Patrick Gilmore in this? Also one of your best tricks (love that guy).
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Gilmore is awesome. Also, his affection for GI JOE is second to none. Cobraaaaaaaa!!!!
Dawn F. Posted 7 months ago
I agree about the alien...be sure to make it realistic
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
That's always been our intention! Designing him and exploring concepts have been a lot of fun for us and we can't wait to move forward with a very unique character!
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Good video... looking forward to seeing the movie... don't cheap out on the alien too much, as the trailer alien needed some work
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We're most certainly working on our little blue friend. The trailer has always been conceptual as there are so many talented folks we will bring aboard once the light goes green!
Bari D. Posted 7 months ago
What would we do without our team ? - thanks for the inside view of the talent crew
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Every crew member brings along such a valuable bag of tricks! Really helps everyone pull in the same direction!
I'm glad to see you guys take a serious approach and it made me listen. Good job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Even comedies need serious film makers from time to time! Thanks for watching!
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
Good video. Surrounding yourselves with talent always makes any project come together.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
"You are surrounded! Come out with your hands up!"
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
I'm trying some constructive comments so I can earn a vote yo!
Kevin P. Posted 7 months ago
Looks good, I would have liked to have seen a bit more humour but it's okay to be serious.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Lots of humour coming your way soon Kevin!
Shelley T. Posted 7 months ago
Great video guys. Awesome tricks!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you!!
Seth C. Posted 7 months ago
Agreed the crew is king. Nice vid gang. -Grade Nine Dork
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it.
Janine F. Posted 7 months ago
A chicken! I never would have guessed. That should have been in the vid.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We fed it to Patrick initially but it took three tries before it cam out lens first.
Jeannette L. Posted 7 months ago
great looking team!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Many thanks! We have a lot of skilled people around us that our jobs a LOT easier!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago

Movie looks good.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Alexa B. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting look on "cheap tricks" would have liked to see more on thigs used for the actual video.. love the chicken trick image :)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We really incorporated a lot of these tricks on the show. A great location, a fast, efficient, creative crew and good planning made it a breeze of a project.
Alexa B. Posted 7 months ago
ah cool
david p. Posted 7 months ago

Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
