good team with people able to do versatile roles.. which is great for budgets....good luck
Alex C. Posted 6 months ago
You guys look like you work well together!
Maddie F. Posted 6 months ago
a great team is key!
Mitchell W. Posted 6 months ago
looks like a great team to be a part of
Kreme T. Posted 6 months ago
Great when everyone pitches in outside of their formal roles. Especially your grip/actor - probably more fun too!
Vincent B. Posted 6 months ago
It's nice when a team appreciates their crew! Nice.
Milan S. Posted 6 months ago
I agree that to have great people on set in an asset but this does not happen every time! GOod luck guys!
Ron K. Posted 6 months ago
Funny. Keep it up. Tnx
Madelyn R. Posted 6 months ago
cute. Excited for this film
Rebecca Z. Posted 6 months ago
Looks like some good guys.
Donald Y. Posted 6 months ago
It reminds me of the times when what little money was available went into the movie and people worked for food. It shows real creativity when solutions need to be figured out without just throwing money at the problem.
Alan N. Posted 6 months ago
You're starting with a good group of friends. Money can't buy. Good luck.
Jordan L. Posted 6 months ago
Looks good and fun
Filip S. Posted 6 months ago
Looked like you have a good group of friends... looks good guys
Andrea B. Posted 6 months ago
Great job, guys!
Kim T. Posted 6 months ago
I agree, who you work with makes all the difference.
Wojciech N. Posted 7 months ago
thumbs up
Amanda R. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you for posting this! Its so true and you haven't heard this yet. A team that is "All In" for the project is priceless!
Eirah U. Posted 7 months ago
Time is money, and people are what make the time valuable. Good work!
Siobhan M. Posted 7 months ago
Good for you! Its the people working together well that makes it happen!
Kenya H. Posted 7 months ago
Thats so true
Siobhan W. Posted 7 months ago
It's always the people that make anything great, and thats obviously the case here
Tawni B. Posted 7 months ago
Having passion and surrounding yourself with people who are equally as passionate. Recipe for greatness! You have a great eye for details.
Denise D. Posted 7 months ago
I agree. As a film watcher I want to have 3 d characters not one dimensional characatures that are way to common in movies today.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Our characters are definitely 3D. And you don't even to wear those funny glasses to watch them!
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Brillant tip of working with a pro team that can move fast.
Allen M. Posted 7 months ago
This will be very funny, looking forward to seeing how this turns out
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
excellent video, well done guys. "We also don't pay anyone so that helps" haha, nicely said.
Emily R. Posted 7 months ago
This seems like an amazing team, good luck to you guys! Great work.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Emily R!
Alex K. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome, so very true! The only way to go is with the best around you!
Roman G. Posted 7 months ago
quality over quantity. I Like that!
Brad D. Posted 7 months ago
Nailed it. People are the most important to getting a film made. Camera tricks and vfx will only get you so far if you don't have friends willing to help you achieve your vision.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
We hate VFX! ;)
Candice M. Posted 7 months ago
People always seem to be willing to do more work, and work longer hours if there is a lot of food available for them to munch on.
Su P. Posted 7 months ago
You guys look like a fun group
Curtis B. Posted 7 months ago
Not sure what your cheap trick is, I am guess that it is the quality and versatility of the actors!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
You got it!
Amy A. Posted 7 months ago
aww too cute
Yvonne L. Posted 7 months ago
The right people who will donate time and talent. Network and use all your resources.
Pina V. Posted 7 months ago
Looks like a fun crew!
Jess R. Posted 7 months ago
would like to see more about the mission
Sunny A. Posted 7 months ago
Ha! No one is paid but everyone wants to come to set. Always a good sign.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Well, we also blackmail people sometimes...
Ryan H. Posted 7 months ago
good times on set
Taylor B. Posted 7 months ago
You guys are funny
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
We have to be. Have you seen us?
Linda B. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting..tricks??
Amanda B. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome.
AChristine W. Posted 7 months ago
Don't think this really addressed the real point of the mission....but still love the trailer!
Marian C. Posted 7 months ago
yummy
Sarah D. Posted 7 months ago
yeah not paying anyone would save a bunch
Peter C. Posted 7 months ago
Working with the right people, smart and good improvisers should not only be the basis for low budget production. This should be the standard for any production even the ones with big budgets. I think what you have done here is managed and directed your talent well and you all became a very cohesive group which is what made up the success. I think you may be underestimating your capabilities to motivate and direct the team and you should always go into a production with "the right people" and an expectation to pull off an excellent production. Good work!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Peter. We'll definitely be more arrogant about our directing abilities - can we use you as a reference??
Ian R. Posted 7 months ago
little bit vague
Melissa W. Posted 7 months ago
Not paying people would explain it. lol
Ryan S. Posted 7 months ago
BUT, how did you guys REALLY get creative and save money, besides a "good attitude" and "good writing"?
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Well, again, by having improvisors on set, you're really never wasting time while someone gets back into a character or doing a million takes of one scene. Pretty much everything you shoot is usable. And saving time saves money. We also picked a story that didn't have anything exploding in it. We stand by our cheap tricks, but understand if they don't fit into your definition of creative. We cool, Ryan. We cool.
Ryan S. Posted 7 months ago
Haha sorry guys if that came off as petty. I've got mad love for your project! It may have been lost in the emotionless nature of the interwebs but don't consider my comment a slam. Consider it a challenge!
Laurel L. Posted 7 months ago
Great team:)
Treena U. Posted 7 months ago
Neat. Good Luck!
Holly F. Posted 7 months ago
people over money. makes sense. thanks.
Vanessa B. Posted 7 months ago
looks good forsure
Clayton P. Posted 7 months ago
Not a bad idea. Why can't crew members be extras, right?
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
That's what we keep telling them anyways!
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
looks good
Astra L. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the video, very talented cast and crew, illustrates well how you don't need a huge budget to make a good film!
Lori M. Posted 7 months ago
Attitude is everything! You could have a huge budget film that is miserable to work on or a small budget film with a real sense of collaboration. In know which one I'd want to work on!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Lori, you're hired.
Alan B. Posted 7 months ago
wow! I liked the trailer and you guys proved that you don't need to have a big budget to make a very good trailer. I hope you guys win.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Alan, you're too kind. But we hope we win too! It's all up to you and the fans. Keep on voting! :)
Rolinda R. Posted 7 months ago
I like it
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
nice job!
Lisa Z. Posted 7 months ago
Looks good!
Eric R. Posted 7 months ago
Good job.
Katie B. Posted 7 months ago
looks like a great team
Sheldon L. Posted 7 months ago
reuse of actors and resourcefulness! by far the best cheap trick...not paying people and just having fun
charlie e. Posted 7 months ago
team power! I love this mission video.
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
very light-hearted and fun. you guys are always enjoyable to watch
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Natalia, you keep making us blush!
Krystle B. Posted 7 months ago
Love having you guys on my watch list! Looks like your whole crew is working together!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Krystie! More fun shenanigans to follow in the weeks ahead! Keep watching!
Cara S. Posted 7 months ago
Multi-tasking is the ultimate "cheap" trick. :)
David T. Posted 7 months ago
haha definitely, crew can fill in for all kinds of positions
Stephanie M. Posted 7 months ago
Looks like you had a lot of fun :)
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Sure, relationships are important and preparation... no real ideas for being on the cheap... although this project does lend itself well for a smallish budget.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Hey John. We feel like rehearsing your characters as a group, so that you already have built in dynamics when you hit the set, is a trick that a lot of people don't take advantage of. But that's just us! We're all thumbs when it comes to VFX!
Lena G. Posted 7 months ago
I liiiiik it
Bob J. Posted 7 months ago
No actual tricks?
Brianne N. Posted 7 months ago
"We also don't pay anyone so that helps." (Blank stare.) Love it.
Brianne N. Posted 7 months ago
Couldn't have said it better. Attitude is so valuable. So valuable!
Darby Q. Posted 7 months ago
Darby Here, DOPE SON, STRAIGHT DOPE ... lervin the so ho sizzle D straight goods gentle playas
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Darby, we don't understand a word you're saying, but THANK YOU! We'll take it as a compliment. ;)
Bobbi H. Posted 7 months ago
Nice!
Jolianne L. Posted 7 months ago
I like this! When you have a great chemistry in the team, the final result is way better than some superficial relationships which are just an obstacle to reach the audience. I think we can relate to it more when we know it's made with real motivation.
Amy K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice how you're focused on the importance of people dynamics.
Amy Z. Posted 7 months ago
You are inspirational. Love everything about your team! Thanks again for the peek behind the scenes!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
No prob Amy! Maybe if we get the funding you can get a real life peek by visiting our set or our rehearsals!
Shannon H. Posted 7 months ago
Free help. It's priceless.
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
this video looks great! good advice to use crew as extras :)
David M. Posted 7 months ago
Great improv.
Tally K. Posted 7 months ago

Jamie M. Posted 7 months ago
Sweet!
Liam C. Posted 7 months ago
Great team, really nice!
Scott M. Posted 7 months ago
Great use of the people you've got on your team!
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Definitely resourceful! Great job with this video, the focus on the acting really shows in your trailer as I think it is one of the best! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
PS: Love the scarf!!!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much Gianna! Our actors are so great. We feel really lucky!
Adam S. Posted 7 months ago
Free everything? C'mon.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Adam, we were joking! I guess we don't have the same great comedic timing as our actors. But we pretty much did beg, borrow and steal everything that made our trailer happen.
Michael K. Posted 7 months ago
Hope you're able to pay all your hard working cast and crew soon!
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Us too! They deserve to live like kings. Or at least people that work in the film and tv industry in Canada!
Andrea M. Posted 7 months ago
Casting is definitely super important. And hopefully with $1million you may consider paying your crew! ;)
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
That is the first item on our to do list. But in all honesty, we have amazing friends and colleagues and we're so grateful for all of the hard work and time they're able to donate to the cause!
Kyle M. Posted 7 months ago
Impressive with the budget and use of cast.
Julie P. Posted 7 months ago
Seems like a great team which helps with a productive project
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Julie!
Nael A. Posted 7 months ago
its only gets better with these guys!! so proud
Nev T. Posted 7 months ago
you guys are awesome!!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Not paying people always helps!! lol good luck.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
We do try and repay people in baked goods whenever we can... Thanks Jane!
Jeff B. Posted 7 months ago
Hard to believe this trailer was made with a small budget. The production quality is incredible.
Ally P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jeff! It's all thanks to our actors and crew. They're the wind beneath our wings.
