Frightening! But I suppose that's what you guys are going for, so successful mission then!
Celene C. Posted 5 months ago
Just a little too eerie, but I am sure it will be successful in another avenue.

We didn't make the Top 15 cut BUT that doesn't mean we're dead by a long shot. Stay tuned for PNOTLD updates! www.facebook.com/PNOTLD
Live Long And Zombie
ronald s. Posted 6 months ago
This was a pretty creepy well paced and shot scene. I was expecting real comedy from this team so it was nice to see you could be scary too.
Dylan L. Posted 6 months ago
The set design was very well done, dark and cold, perfect to set the atmosphere. However, the audio could have added a bit more.
Natalie T. Posted 6 months ago
Your use of makeup is good but the story line seems old and repetitive. I guess zombies are everywhere.
Melissa S. Posted 6 months ago
I've never been a a sucker for a often as there are just too many out there right now, I wish you luck tho
Trudy H. Posted 6 months ago
• Watching your Mission 4 video has left me “Speechless”! Can’t wait to see what else this film has in store!
TJ H. Posted 6 months ago
Sound design could use some more attention I think, but wow at the use of makeup in this speechless mission!
Brian C. Posted 6 months ago
I liked your take on this mission - survival doesn't really call for much talking, especially when you're dealing with zombies.
Alex M. Posted 6 months ago
I feel like this genre is a bit tough for amateur film making. It's hard to sell a horror film when you're making cheap makeup
Pandora M. Posted 6 months ago
oh
Simon P. Posted 6 months ago
not for me
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
nice contacts
FilmFan F. Posted 6 months ago
Very cool zombie makeup. But I wish the music was different. Work on the sound...the screams were muffled and the music too loud. Otherwise good job!!
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks for your feedback.
Tawni B. Posted 6 months ago
I kinda wish there was more power behind the book smashing head in bit, but other then that, great! Awesome zombie make-up!
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Tawni!
mark m. Posted 6 months ago
I really liked the look of this. You've also crafted a scary sequence. I guess thos huge textbooks serve a purpose after all.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Yep gotta love old textbooks. Thanks Mark.
Jordan L. Posted 6 months ago
Good zombies, good approach, to what is popular right now just needs some work. Sound and sound effects.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Agreed Jordan, thanks for the feedback.
Anthony S. Posted 6 months ago
I like the colour tone to the clips. Cool zombies. Some of the sound effects don't seem loud enough, and perhaps slightly off?
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
We will work on that for next time. Thanks for the feedback.
Kevin C. Posted 6 months ago
Cinematography is pretty good and the zombie effects. I think the zombie stuff is a little over done. Would like to see something new. But good overall.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
We can thank our amazing cinematographer for shooting this, thanks Kevin.
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
very good
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
From one Jane to another, thanks!
Claudette B. Posted 6 months ago
Zombies Are too much and not enjoying your interpretation. Sorry but I am looking for something new not the walking dead and since when do we hit zombies with books. Come on!!
Eric M. Posted 6 months ago
They're in a high school. Other people seemed to love the book but thanks for the feedback.
Derek C. Posted 7 months ago
Fun concept! And surprised no one has used this title yet! Romero would be proud. Best wishes from The Last Video Store
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you kindly Derek. I'm hoping our film has at least some of the original spirit of Romero's.
Kelly B. Posted 7 months ago
interesting set.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
We shot at St. Alban's Boys and Girls club in Toronto, we used the basement under the swimming pool, it was pretty creepy!
tanya j. Posted 7 months ago
too many zombie movies out right now, great job on the makeup effects though.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you we wanted to make our zombies look good!!
Tony M. Posted 7 months ago
I like the video but zombie movies are a dime a dozen now a days. Everyweek there is a new undead movie coming out so I think you are going to have to she me in the next challenge how your vid is original!
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
I will be uploading our alternate mission 5 videos to our Facebook page and I'm going to add a post that I hope helps explain what we're trying to accomplish.
jerry lee c. Posted 7 months ago
I loved this one! I can see the FUNNY side and the ZOMBIE creativity all working together rther nicely. Good luck.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Jerry Lee!!
Carolyn D. Posted 7 months ago
I think if you're going to try and do a zombie movie you're going to have to work and making it original and I this just hasn't shown me anything overly unique - although I do want to know how they turn into zombies ;) That's always the best part.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Yep that is fun, our main character turns them into Zombies, check out our pitch video for all the in's and out's of how this happens.
Jennifer E. Posted 7 months ago
Great make-up effects. Good job on making me jump at the end of the scene. I thought the acting was lackluster and the textbook as a fatal weapon was unconvincing.
Bari D. Posted 7 months ago
I knew high school books were useful for something ( of course I'm kidding) Zombies are sure popular these days. Great work guys! Who's the make-up artist? Thank you.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
We actually had two amazing ladies, Kelly Bowman and Cindy Chung!!
Bari D. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you :)
Andy M. Posted 7 months ago
I am not a zombie fan. I'm not sure what's new here. But I applaud your work and effort to draw in the audience by taking it slowly in this scene.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Andy. We appreciate your feedback.
Kari W. Posted 7 months ago
really nice work i loved the concept behind the mission i love the zombie idea for this whole trailer
Merle P. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work guys. I will definitely watch this movie when it's released, and I am not even a true Zombie fan! Well done. All the best to the make-up artist and the director!
Merle P. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work guys. I will definitely watch this movie when it's released, and I am not even a true Zombie fan! Well done. All the best to the make-up artist.
jerry lee c. Posted 7 months ago
great make-up artist! ...and actor.
David A. Posted 7 months ago
This is great! Love the themes that could be played with your film... Your heroines are kinda outsiders, and the rest of the kids in the school are zombies.
Rob M. Posted 7 months ago
Nice zombie effects though the pacing seems a little off - expecting a bit slower reveal/shock moment when the guy turns around at the beginning but he never seemed like a big threat. And the hits from the book could have been punched up a bit with some better sound effects. Still, the prom night zombie film is a nice idea & the girl zombie at the end was nice. If this is the main character, next I'd expect her to grab the fire extinguisher off the wall & cave in the girl zombie's head. If she's not the main character then good bye prom queen.
Jane H. Posted 6 months ago
Yep she's not the main character of the film so..... yeah her outlook doesn't look good!!
Matt C. Posted 7 months ago
Great makeup effects, and the colour palette of the the whole thing is a nice, sickly colour. Good work.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you!
Pepper S. Posted 7 months ago
Even teh banner freaks me out!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
LoL that is awesome.
Shannon T. Posted 7 months ago
Freak stuff. Good louck in teh vote.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Shannon.
Lizzy T. Posted 7 months ago
Good makeup. The zombies definitely look zombie-esque. New ideas for killing zombies are always good.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Yes who knew you could kill a Zombie with an old text book??
Laurie D. Posted 7 months ago
Zombies are always fun. Music sets the stage well. And the textbook is a new way to do the necessary deed.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Laurie!
Roy K. Posted 7 months ago
Good job on this. I like the textbook death. I would still like to see further proof that this is different from other zombie films, though they are still popular and thus commercial, I am personally tired of the genre.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for watching Roy, hopefully we can give it a new twist that you will like.
Matt D. Posted 7 months ago
The zombie them is great! great work on the make up! look forward to more of what you guys can do. Great job again!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Matt.
Wesley S. Posted 7 months ago
It is coming down to the wire! Regardless of the Cinecoup start/push! Make this movie! :)
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
We hope to regardless but it might take a little longer.
John K. Posted 7 months ago
I've always been a bit of a sucker for a good (and often not so good) zombie movie. I wish you luck in getting this made.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you John and thanks for watching and supporting us.
Jay C. Posted 7 months ago
Love the color pallet of this film. The greens make it eerie and uncomfortable. Good work on the zombie make up as well!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks our make up ladies are amazing!
Sheila H. Posted 7 months ago
Very good makeup and well thought out, a lot of thought and work have gone into it. looking forward to more of it
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Sheila!!
Leigh N. Posted 7 months ago
Some interesting shots and the zombie makeup effects are pretty cool. Zombies at the prom sounds freaky
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Yes not sure I would want to run into a Zombie at my prom.
Charles T. Posted 7 months ago
Hurry! If she would have walked just a little faster she would have gotten out of there! and what happened to the piece of metal? Where'd the book come from?
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
She dropped the metal in her struggle with the Zombie, and due to a time length restriction for this submission you don't get to see them piled on a table that they bump into while they struggle. Hopefully that answers you questions. If you have any more let me know.
David S. Posted 7 months ago
Great job guys. Now I know why I skipped my high school prom.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Hahaha yep there could have been some Zombies!!!
Ian R. Posted 7 months ago
Just coming across 'Prom night if the Living Dead'. Sorry, couldn't stop thinking "not another zombie show".
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
We hope to give it a new twist Ian, hopefully you will like what you see.
Ellen M. Posted 7 months ago
The zombie theme is one that I really like so the redoing of a prom night theme is at least a little bit different
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Yep, not sure that has been done before. Thanks for your support.
Joanna R. Posted 7 months ago
I can't stop thinking about the before and what happens next. I love the textbook, its finally useful!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Who knew a science textbook would ever be useful!! LOL!
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
I'm a huge zombie movie fan. I have seen almost every one ever produced. So I get this. The music is great and it works with what you're aiming for.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you very much. We're hoping we can add our own little twist and stand out from the pack.
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
The biggest concern I have with not just PNTLD but all the "creature" movies is that the bar is set pretty high. You have to compete against "The Walking Dead", "Resident Evil" and George A. Romero. The "were" movies have to compete against Blade, Underworld, Twilight (ok not much competition there). So stepping it up is a big deal.
Cat K. Posted 7 months ago
That's the kind of resourcefulness Buffy the Vampire Slayer would show, except she would do it sans screaming and crying....
Casey G. Posted 7 months ago
The makeup and cinematography are both excellent. The generic zombie scares left me a little bored though. Also the sound effects ended up seeming comical, not sure if that was intended or not.
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
there are lots of great shots here and the sounds definitely worked with the scene. What a terrible prom for her, haha.
Angela G. Posted 7 months ago
Well, it looks like prom night may be her last! What happens next? Why, she'll turn into a zombie of course!
Fabien W. Posted 7 months ago
The pictures are gross. The video made me stop breathing. It's really scary and suspenseful, well done!
George T. Posted 7 months ago
Nice production job all around. But didn't really get the hilarity or a new twist on the dead horse of a genre. Still love the concept for the project.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
We've had a lot of people mention they'd like to see more blood so we thought we'd step back from the comedy for this one and go for scare factor.
Gavin M. Posted 7 months ago
Great use of lighting, framing, makeup and costume. The acting was pretty good, but I was disappointed that the pipe (tool?) was featured in a tight shot but then wasn't able to be used. I'd like to think if the girl could take out a zombie with a few hits from a paperback, she fought her way free from the next zombie and survives to save the leads' asses at the end of the movie in a blaze of glory.
Aden S. Posted 7 months ago
awesome! this looks like it's gonna be a fun movie! great setting for some zombie killing fun! BRAINS!!!
Ron K. Posted 7 months ago
Odd how she kills the zombie with a text book. It must have been heavy reading.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
nice one
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
Well done! You managed to build a bit of suspense and create a pretty eerie setting to explore. My only critique would be that the hits with the book looked a little weak. Otherwise, pretty effective mission submission.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Yeah we'll have to be more brutal next time with the brain bashing!
Jon K. Posted 7 months ago
I like how you blended her exploration/journey into the grungy area with suspense... it's a very aesthetic scary scene. Good job!
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Thank You
Emersen Z. Posted 7 months ago
Excellent work this aside from being a great speachless clip I am truly impressed with the cinematography and killer framing. I love the shots!
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Stephen Whitehead our DOP is a certified genius
Tim E. Posted 7 months ago
Created a great atmosphere of suspense...loved the makeup... the last few seconds made me jump. Where is Rick Grimes when you need him?
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Our Make Up team did rock it!
Patrick G. Posted 7 months ago
love the makeup, love the acting. Great use of lighting - really creates the suspense and tension within the scene. kudos!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Patrick.
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Fan Mission 4: What happens next
Teenage girl dives down to the floor slides through the legs of the zombie out the school door and is gunned down by police officers in error thinking she is a zombie.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
lol it just could happen... thanks for the idea!!
Róise M. Posted 7 months ago
great job i love how your team keeps surprising me with what you guys are going to get in the end loved the mission
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! We had a blast making this & even got scared by our zombies at times!
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
David scared the hell out of me when I turned around and saw him lurking in a doorway.
Kim C. Posted 7 months ago
Great sound editing and acting. Like the location too. Can you really kill a zombie with a text book? If so it is good to know that there is actually a use for outdated ones.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Old text books have so many uses. Even out a table leg, door stop, zombie protection, maybe we even learn a thing or two.
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
awesome make up and location. They both really made the scene. The textbook part was funny and the ending left me wanting more.
Georgia M. Posted 7 months ago
Ooh nice zombie effects! Hate the fact she was wimpy enough to drop the metal bar she picked up, because that's a pretty effective weapon, but bonus points for putting the textbook to good use! If she'd been at one of those schools going over to iPads only, she'd be lunch.
Travis B. Posted 7 months ago
Great atmosphere! Love that she killed the zombie with a textbook, haha
Beverley R. Posted 7 months ago
I think this is well done, the make up is excellent, the character's did an excellent portrayal of zombies....
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Make-up is amazing! And I love the sound design, especially the subtle use of heartbeats. The ending was crazy but you might wanna rethink how she kills the guy - may be a sharp pen this time? After all a pen is mightier than the sword lol
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
We're glad to hear you enjoyed it. Sound design is always a subtle walk between "real" and "showy".
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
Great sound editing and nice background music. I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies but you're definitely a talented bunch.
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you very much!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Nice! Really creepy, really well shot. Very claustrophobic. Plus, you know, you have zombies. You can't go wrong with zombies. - Team WolfCop
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
we had a great DP and lucked out on location. thanks for the praise!
Ryan P. Posted 7 months ago
HA! I love the textbook killing of the living dead! I'm curious to see what she kills the second living dead with....IF SHE DOES!!! :)
Shannon H. Posted 7 months ago
Girl, you need to run faster! I know these aren't fast-moving zombies but ditch the heels and run! Lol. Loved the last shot!
lisa m. Posted 7 months ago
I love this! The sound effects and background music choices are fantastic. Really looking forward to seeing more.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
We like love!
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
Great make-up FX. Love the colour tone on this as well, great choices.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!
Sue T. Posted 7 months ago
Creepy music, loved the heartbeat in the background. I was really hoping this poor girl would make it out of there, but it doesn't look like she will!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Nope, she is a goner!!!
Meika A. Posted 7 months ago
I agree with what Kari is saying, the editing looked choppy but the makeup was good. I like hw you worked the music
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Yep the makeup rocked, we will work on our editing for next time, thanks for your help.
Kari W. Posted 7 months ago
Makeup very cool, the fight had a lot of cut shots, which didn't work for me... But music kept it suspenseful.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks our makeup team did a great job!
Jaden N. Posted 7 months ago
Ohh zombie death by textbook! Awesome. Great soundtrack...makes it very creepy. Always shocking how slow they move yet everyone still gets attacked.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
See science isn't completely useless after all
Richmain Y. Posted 7 months ago
i don't know about the choice of music but then again its a horror movie so the sound effects are all gonna be crazy. it was simple at most but still good
Drew R. Posted 7 months ago
I'm not sure a zombie groan, and the girl screams don't count as dialogue, but I liked the music stopping and starting, giving the effect of hope...
Samantha L. Posted 7 months ago
This could have been more suspenseful, it was too timid of a progression. The actors weren't believable as zombies, more gusto is needed! You can't do good makeup and throw lots of blood around unless the actors can make it work.
Skye B. Posted 7 months ago
Neat stuff - The dress really adds to the scene.
Heather G. Posted 7 months ago
Without much noise, it really builds the suspense. I kept expecting a zombie to jump out every second. Then i literally jumped at the end.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
That's what we like to hear!
Nickolas B. Posted 7 months ago
Ha, this task must have been an easy one since we all know zombies can't 'speak" ;) Great suspense!...only critique I have is: the folly of hits to the zombies head and the book smashes could sound a bit more realistic. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
Eric M. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the feedback! You're right, realistic skull crushing sounds are hard to come by. ;)
Emilio S. Posted 7 months ago
Great way to set the tone with the music and the make up effects look great. nice surprise ending as well.
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks
Scott S. Posted 7 months ago
Loved how creepy you went with for this mission really played nice to see a difference from the comedy
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Scott we wanted to show everyone that our film will have enough gore and comedy to satisfy everyone!!
Wesley S. Posted 7 months ago
Great job with mission and the creepy factor! The make up for the zombies looked good. I felt she might have running through lockers in a hallways, but then again, this is only a taste of what is to come!
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Yes we really did want to vamp up the creep factor and yes this is only a taste. Thanks Wesley.
Wesley S. Posted 7 months ago
No... Thank YOU!
Andrew V. Posted 7 months ago
This was fantastic. Great job.
Jane H. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Andrew!
Jim M. Posted 7 months ago
So many innocent women - stumbling into zombies, axe murderers, ghosts and ghouls. Not enough of them get it in the way they deserve. Poor zombie - clubbed with a textbook.
