Not my genre of choice but your concept has a lot of potential to become a cult classic.
Bren K. Posted 5 months ago
This looks really good excellent work team. It's no wonder that you made it as far as you have. Keep up the good work!
Levi C. Posted 5 months ago
This project, like most other top tenners, has many of the qualities required to fulfill the expectations of Canadian Independent film audiences. None but one, however succeeded to induce a white-nuckled, nail-biting next several months as the world awaits the arrival of WOLF COP!
David U. Posted 5 months ago
Cool! Very suspenseful, the music is just great, really makes you nervous, very nice job you guys!!!
Lee V. Posted 5 months ago
This was short, but I like the direction it's going. Classic wolfman-like story is what I've been missing in my movies lately.
Mike Q. Posted 5 months ago
Krankin' out the Votes for Wolf Cop... Kill me some crime!
Henry O. Posted 5 months ago
this stuff is pretty cool. Very interesting and the sound was great. But I do not like the over all concept.
Richard Z. Posted 5 months ago
So there you are , half a sleep trying to shave those unwanted hairs. No in grown folicles? How about releasing some of those late night drinkings gas pangs. You are living with just a dog, don't be bashful sheriff! Lets get it off your chest. Let it all hang out!
victor l. Posted 5 months ago
The confused state of "What is happening to my body?" really shows when the hairy gets much hairier, faster.
Ron J. Posted 5 months ago
"The Reveal"?...to Lou, finding out he's something special is an eye opener, maybe a bit of slo-mo thrown in for this scene and more closeups of his "senses" in overdrive...looks great.
Natalia B. Posted 5 months ago
Wow, the music choice, and the lack of speech really hits you hard!
Andrew S. Posted 5 months ago
haha! the intensity on this scene was at its max! Along with the music the heightened sounds definitely create the serious atmosphere of what wolfcop is
Ang C. Posted 5 months ago
Oops! I posted my comment for this one on "cheap tricks". So I will repeat it here...awesome facial hair close up...love it.
Amber M. Posted 5 months ago
Great sounds. I am loving this more and more!
Tessa V. Posted 5 months ago
WOAH..loved it! the noises creeped me out a bit, it was really in my face and gave me the shivers...but that seems like a good thing!
Kathy L. Posted 5 months ago
That was interesting. I liked how the sounds really told the story. Good luck in the next round!!!
Pam A. Posted 5 months ago
I think you guys are making a cult classic! I look forward to seeing your missions. Congrats on making top ten!
Maureen M. Posted 5 months ago
A really interesting scene to watch. It's amazing how no speech can still create a powerful scene. Nice.
Steve R. Posted 5 months ago
Good stuff guys!
Rob H. Posted 5 months ago
Awesome, can't wait to see it take the title!
kael v. Posted 5 months ago
Really cool scene. I really like the fact that it echos the trailer. Good story. Interesting delivery.
Celene C. Posted 5 months ago
This reminded me of the classic American Werewolf in London and Teen wolf with the bathroom scene. Not sure of the plot, but it could have potential
Marly V. Posted 5 months ago
This is very professional. You guys did a good job on this mission. But over all I do not like the concept.
Alexa B. Posted 5 months ago
...After years of being alone, wolfcop had stopped looking for love, but when a young, feisty fox joins the force Wolfcop starts howwwwwwling for her attention and realises he's not alone after all #cheese #fanfiction #wolfcop2
Ralph M. Posted 5 months ago
Wolfcop accepts his fate and then tries to see how long his hair will in fact grow. Come WolfCop Part 3 he's covered in scrunchies. #FanFiction
Lowell D. Posted 5 months ago
Ha! Are your services free as a script writer for WolfCop 3... ;)
Jen E. Posted 5 months ago
Wolfcop then proceeds to buy himself Nair. He tries it on his facial hair, but to no avail. Then, he is called into work and decides quite promptly that he will try to rock himself the Wolverine do in the case that his facial hair gets too long in the future.
Lowell D. Posted 5 months ago
WolfCop 6: The Nair Solution.
Sean R. Posted 5 months ago
awesome scene guys, good luck with the rest of the competition, you and alien abduction to go though to the top 5!
Lowell D. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks for your support Sean!
Donald Y. Posted 6 months ago
People really liked this silent trailer. I had to look again to see why. I especially liked the shaving, and the dog on the bed. It really raised the question of what he would do to the dog. And then the sink scene was enough to expect him to be washing blood off his face. It was edited very well.
Lowell D. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Donald!
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
VERY GOOD I LIKE THIS
Lowell D. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Jolene! :)
Zombetty B. Posted 6 months ago
Very engaging. I loved the use of sounds to bring you into the scene...although the shaving noise was not my favorite--great job overall!!
Lowell D. Posted 5 months ago
Thanks Zombetty!
Lew D. Posted 6 months ago
If there was one thing officer Lou Garou couldn't stand, it was vampires.
Ever since turning wolf, it seemed like he couldn't go a week without stumbling on some bizarre creature or another lurking in the cracks of human society. Ghouls working the late shift at Tim Horton's, a tribe of centaurs in the Northwestern wilderness, some idiot trying to crossbreed Shih Tzu and Waheelas, illegal poaching of Sasquatches out of season. It was like some damn modern fantasy romance novel, except he wasn't a hot, tough-but-vulnerable tattooed chick in black leather with a pair of magical boyfriends vying for her affection.
But for some reason, vampires were the worst. He could think of any number of reasons why. Possibly it was their arrogance despite being nothing more than bipedal leeches. Possibly it was that, despite that, they had the best press of any supernatural creature. Possibly it was just the smell of them. That was what alerted him to the nature of his midnight visitors, long before he managed to stumble of out of bed and to the door. His sense of smell had improved to maddeningly keen levels, and that was almost never a good thing. Humans didn't seem capable of detecting it, but to Garou the vampires reeked of rot â like a combination of moldy potatoes, slimy mushrooms sprouting in a dank basement, roadkill roasting on the blacktop overlaid by the sickly grandma-perfume scent of rose water and talcum.
He opened the door.
There were three of them standing there, dressed like they'd just stepped from the set of a gangster film set in the 30's, typical vampire. One big bruiser in a raccoon coat, a smaller, dapper male in pinstripes and fedora, and a slinky female in a brilliant red flapper dress.
âNo,â he said, âAnd hell no.â
He slammed the door closed.
(to be continued)
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Nice Lew! Talented artist AND writer? I can see WolfCop ripping into some high brow gangster vampires. A classic scene.
Jolene K. Posted 6 months ago
VERY INTRIGUING
Nate J. Posted 6 months ago
Once Wolfcop realizes he can no longer drink Silver Bullets, revenge will be hairy. Swift quick and sure.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Ha! Yes, Silver Bullet would be a great sponsor for WolfCop. The irony is delicious.
John M. Posted 6 months ago
Nice effects on the chest - No dialogue required to understand what's going through his mind - great job!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks John!
Dylan L. Posted 6 months ago
Really great work! Easily the best one I've seen so far, it looked quite professional. Great special effects as well!!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Dylan. We have a lot of talented people on Team WolfCop.
Alejandro P. Posted 6 months ago
Great concept I like how the idea is transmitted on the video, the actors where great and could understand the concept from the beginning, the angles helped me a lot to get immersed into the plot, and get to understand the feeling that is supposed to be in every moment. Great job!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Alejandro!
Brenda H. Posted 6 months ago
The shaving scene in this is really neat. I'm not sure how you did it, but it looks good. The audio is also really clear.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Brenda. All practical effects in this video. Our FX wizard Emersen has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.
LIs D. Posted 6 months ago
Very interesting work. Great sound effects and visual effects. You can tell exactly whats going on. Well done.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Lis!
Ross W. Posted 6 months ago
This project is indeed growing on me I must say, keep up the great work! Love the make up, it's so impressive
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Ross. We aim to impress.
Gael M. Posted 6 months ago
I love this guy. He's Wolverine, but with a day job. So much story told with those scars. I also love the morning beer, very funny
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Yeah, he's a bit of a bad ass.
Mo G. Posted 6 months ago
Haha, I love how much of a comedy/action movie this is. A beer on the bedside table just makes sense. Best way to wake up in the morning
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Mo. Glad you picked up on the comedy.
Mo G. Posted 6 months ago
Haha, I love how much of a comedy/action movie this is. Teen Wolf grows up and gets supper badass. A beer on your bedside table is werewolf fuel.
Tawnya T. Posted 6 months ago
Will you surprise me with a different twist on a wolf movie?? Don't need another regular one that is for sure
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Oh, there shall be twists... ;)
Mitch A. Posted 6 months ago
Great effects and sound in this clip. You don't need any speech at all to know what's going on. I hope to see you in the top 15!
Ben S. Posted 6 months ago
Wolfcop great concept, great special effects! You guys really, put your sweat and blood into this project.
Alex B. Posted 6 months ago
I know a couple guys a work whose facial hair almost grows that fast. you look at them clean shaven in the morning and by 5 o'clock then have a 1/4 inch growth.
Zaul M. Posted 6 months ago
Really love the sound effects and style. Mixed with the practical effect this really makes Wolf Cop stand out as one of the best contenders.
Marion S. Posted 6 months ago
cool use of practical effects! This guy can really act... can we make this a tv series? We'll need the dog in it too:)
Mikey G. Posted 6 months ago
Great work, guys. Awesome companion piece to the trailer. The sound of the shaving made my skin crawl a little bit and the hair growing back just looked rad. Again, great work.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Mikey!
Angela S. Posted 6 months ago
That is a pretty gruesome morning after! The sound effects worked very well in this scene. No words necessary.
Alvin D. Posted 6 months ago
Good job guys. Loved the sound design and shots used to create some suspense. You deserve Top 10 for sure!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Alvin!
John H. Posted 6 months ago
Correct to the guys below. Things can get a new twist I do not see it yet but maybe it is coming? Surprise me?
Nathan G. Posted 6 months ago
Heightened sound effects are great as is the point when the blood seeps through his shirt. Good job.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Nathan.
Oskar W. Posted 6 months ago
I'm not sure that I agree with Kristi H. I'm not a Dan of werewolves, but a classic genre can always be revived.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
I agree Oskar, I think any genre - monster, comedy, action film - can always be revived or given a fresh new spin.
Becky D. Posted 6 months ago
Nice use of flashbacks here. Sound effects all sound great too. Not sure where this scene is leading tho?!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Becky! Yes, that's the point we want to tease you. Where IS it going?
Kristi H. Posted 6 months ago
I appreciate your efforts but cannot see one more wolf, or vampire movie or zombies. We need something new
Semantha M. Posted 6 months ago
wow
Jordan L. Posted 6 months ago
Very classic approach I like it this challenged seemed like it was easy for you guys to make. This movie would be an awesome drive in film.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Jordan. We would love to have WOLFCOP in a drive-in.
AJ S. Posted 6 months ago
The effects are not bad but not a fan of this mission or the story so far. Just too much of this stuff out there. Not unique enough
Kevin C. Posted 6 months ago
Good job guys on a low budget! I like the creature effects. Done very well. Interesting take on werewolves.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Kevin more to come. We hope to honor the werewolf tradition while adding our own unique "twists"...!
Lisa a. Posted 6 months ago
I see some talent here, great lightening and I really tired to see alot of good here. I am just done with wolve and vampires :o). Too many out there, but you have done good work!!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks! Don't give up on monsters yet, we've got a new spin. ;)
Jenny A. Posted 6 months ago
There are too many vampires, wolves, etc out there now. I don't really see a fit for this. Not unique and does not stand out but the effects are ok
Ange M. Posted 6 months ago
With all the vampire movies/TV shows about, it's a good tie in for people who are into that. Well done
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Ange. We hope to please the fans and bring in some new ones, too.
Simon G. Posted 6 months ago
I disagree with Megan. Tires of vampires, wolves etc. not very unique sadly. I would ha e liked to see this Ina diff character
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Our approach will be unique Simon. We love monster films, but we want to take this in a new direction. Much like you can re-invent the romantic comedy or the action film in a million ways, we think the same can be said for the monster genre.
Vickrum M. Posted 6 months ago
Interesting!
Megan J. Posted 6 months ago
I love where this movie is going....It's Teen Wolf turned into an adult, well done, keep up the great work!
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Megan! We will. :)
Sarah W. Posted 6 months ago
The hair closeup was gross! But cool. I like the name choice though - Loup Garon!! :) great job with this mission
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Sarah. Do you speak French? If you do, you'll appreciate our name choice for our main character. :)
Donal O. Posted 6 months ago
I finally caught that gag. Don't know how I missed it for so long.
Michel C. Posted 6 months ago
I am tired of wolves, zombies and vampires. This does not cut it for me at all. Where is something new. U missed it
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
To each their own, Michel! Our take on the subject manner will be unique, but we respect your opinion.
Melanie O. Posted 6 months ago
Not loving the whiskers as do not look real to me and the growth scene is too fast..more red and green would have helped the mood in this scene, but not bad at all
Tah the T. Posted 7 months ago
I was curious as to why the sounds were so intense from a hangover or concussion (having never suffered either myself) before I realized the "wolf" bit now applied to him, ergo sharp senses. Very nice.
Lowell D. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Tah!
James W. Posted 7 months ago
An wolf hump begins to emerge on his back, wolf teeth begin grow in his mouth. He reaches for a beer.
Lindsay A. Posted 7 months ago
Ugh! Great sound - everything was so intense you made me feel like I had a hangover too! I love how he doesn't notice his severe wounds until much later.
Ryan D. Posted 7 months ago
Love the suspense at the end, the shaving scene was difficult to watch. Like a hangover scene from hell. Well done!
Megan P. Posted 7 months ago
What happens next: Wolfcop gets really drunk and passes out for awhile, then he gets up goes outside to cause some havoc! Looks awesome, great job!
Nikki S. Posted 7 months ago
Oh this looks fun. I hadn't been following this before but I'm glad I stumbled upon this mission - added it to my watchlist.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Nikki. More fun stuff to come!
Derek C. Posted 7 months ago
Lou Garou... Awesome concept and great speechless video. Best of luck from the Last Video Store guys!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks guys, back at you!
Trish M. Posted 7 months ago
The sound effects for the razor & tap was a bit too much. The freshly opened beer sounded empty as it was put back on the stand (still full). The music was not too bad.
Hugh P. Posted 7 months ago
lou is a bad ass dude, nice tats and his dog is dope too, sweet effects guys well done. wolf cop is in the lead on my watch
Andrew Q. Posted 7 months ago
Wonderful sound design, and the practical effects were perfect â effective without being over the top. Plus, I'm really digging Lou's ink!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Yeah, he's a bad ass... ;)
David A. Posted 7 months ago
Ah, great touch with the growing hair! And the music really helped drive the story. Well done guys!
Rob M. Posted 7 months ago
Next up, Wolf Cop starts experiencing wolf powers like better hearing, sense of smell and a compulsive need to attack the mailman (well, maybe not that last one).
Jenny M. Posted 7 months ago
If I say Wolfcop enough times I hope he'll appear in my dreams.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
I can not confirm or deny that, but I say go for it. ;)
Nadia V. Posted 7 months ago
Musis is good but the hair effect is strange and not realistic, looks plastic but I see alot of work put in
Frank C. Posted 7 months ago
Love the use of sound and music. The hair growing was a nice effect. I look forward to more from you guys.
Rachel M. Posted 7 months ago
I thought the sound design was very well done, it built the suspense nicely. The trailer was interesting, and left me wanting to watch the movie!
Kirsty R. Posted 7 months ago
Nicely done!!! I like the effects of the hair growing and the bloody chest is scary and disturbing.
Jeevin J. Posted 7 months ago
Waking up and staring at a can of beer, wondering and waiting and deciding whether I should drink it is everyday for me. I really connect with Wolf Cop. Good job!
George P. Posted 7 months ago
these guys are for real, there is some effort in these challenges, not to metion some lighting and production value
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, George!
Denise D. Posted 7 months ago
This is terrifying but not so scary that I can't watch it. I didn't get the reason for the sound of the water?! Go Regina go!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
The weird water sound is just another indiction that something is "off" with his senses. Lou is quickly realizing (and so are we) that was no ordinary night!
Naomi K. Posted 7 months ago
nice scene and one that's different from all the montages. agree with the poster who mentioned the sound effect on the tap, though - sounded like your mic peaked almost.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
You are right, we trying to play things close to the peak, wanted to really make things a bit uncomfortable for the viewer in spots... ;)
Andie Q. Posted 7 months ago
The sound effects here were really well used and very effective. Not my favourite genre but this looks interesting.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Andie. Though it will be a horror, we will be "flirting" with several genres in WolfCop.
Sean B. Posted 7 months ago
That was a cool scene. Looks to me as this guy has some serious issues on the go! He is trippin' out!!
David F. Posted 7 months ago
The criss-cross of lacerations across his torso explained a lot. Like why he hadn't felt like doing his daily situps this morning. And maybe why his beard was growing back at the speed of sound. At the very least, he was going to call that blonde. Not about a second date. But about assault with a whip. You don't lash a cop in this town and get away with it.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Nice job David.
Sarah T. Posted 7 months ago
Get that guy some new razorblades! Great sound in this, like the overdone scritch-scratching of the blade on his skin. The only thing that sounded off was the tap when it first comes on. Too much water pressure or something.
Leigh N. Posted 7 months ago
This scene is really powerful with the interesting sound and visuals. And the dog is going to be a star!
Matthew L. Posted 7 months ago
I really like the flashbacks. The passing on the can of beer first thing in the morning brings some interest into that character and what brought him to this point. Good job!
Jana S. Posted 7 months ago
I really liked this mission. The sound effects during the shaving were good. Way to go Saskatchewan! :)
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jana!
Cyndi F. Posted 7 months ago
The best part of waking up, is a fresh can of beer.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Haha!
George P. Posted 7 months ago
agree ... wolfcop is the man
Cat K. Posted 7 months ago
LOL at the Dog who is SHOCKED he put down the beer. "What the fuck did I do last night?" Doesn't even cut it for this scene. Nice.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
The dog knows Lou well. Putting DOWN a beer? What the what!
David T. Posted 7 months ago
The sound gets to me, its gross listening to him shave and grow back but the image of it growning back looked good.
Allen M. Posted 7 months ago
I love the sound design. Some cool makeup and special effects. Great sequence. This is going to be a pretty wild film
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Allen.
Candy H. Posted 7 months ago
Werewolf movies really aren't my thing but I will watche this one. Great job on the video. kEEP IT UP.
andy k. Posted 7 months ago
NIce...!
Warren B. Posted 7 months ago
Werewolf movies are perfect for reflecting on the internal struggles against our violent natures we try to keep down. An alcoholic cop is the perfect shade of grey for the werewolf mantle.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you, Warren. Thank you.
Jen P. Posted 7 months ago
I support his alcoholism!!! Also really cute dog. Really enjoyed your mission video! Well done team!
Jonathan R. Posted 7 months ago
Wolfcops an alcoholic....either way good use of some flashbacks. Still think this should be a comedy
Sherri L. Posted 7 months ago
Wolfcop wakes up and slowly remembers what happened last night. As he pieces it together he remembers that he left a body somewhere and he needs to take care of it before he is found out by his fellow cops.
Tony S. Posted 7 months ago
The bad wakeup. Classic! The shaving bit is really well done. Sound is a bit harsh but that's the point - this guy's having the (wolf)mother of all hangovers.
Ben S. Posted 7 months ago
Oh. My. Dog! what happend last night! what did I get myself into? Props to your sound guy for that abrasive shaving
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Oh my dog indeed!
Dianh G. Posted 7 months ago
nice effects
No K. Posted 7 months ago
Lou wakes up with a bad headache. He can't remember what happened last night. Wait why is this beer here? Oh well, might as well drink it. Ugh doesn't taste good. Yeah that's why, not my favorite brand. I need try that new shaving foam that I bought. It sure feels softer and smother. Wait a minute, why is my beard growing back? Did I buy propecia instead of shaving foam? Looks like I am going to need more blades. My chest hurts too. What really happened last night? Who were those guys wearing masks?
Chris J. Posted 7 months ago
cool effects. sound and visual. and nice work cutting back to him getting turned, was very effective
Ewa B. Posted 7 months ago
Great job casting. I couldn't imagine a better person playing this role. I enjoyed all the heightened sounds and it was neat to see his beard grow back after he shaved.
Kevin P. Posted 7 months ago
Awful shaving sounds... This did not sell this for me. Music was decent though. I'm struggling to find something redeemable here...
Gertray D. Posted 7 months ago
You got me again. From the trailer pitch and poster this dialogue free scene has wanting to see the movie. Great lighting, sound, special effects/makeup and acting all looks so simple. Great talent all around.
Krista B. Posted 7 months ago
You guys clearly know what you're doing. This clips looks awesome, great acting, sound, and graphics. Gives a good insight to the vibe of the movie
Margaret S. Posted 7 months ago
This movie has lots of stuff I love - dogs, alarm clocks, beer, werewolves...what a great idea! Nice effects too :)
Redmond O. Posted 7 months ago
I always thought a lot of films, horror or otherwise have too much dialogue. I like the rapid flashbacks with the stereotypical music. I also like the nauseating flourescent green lighting contrasted with the bloodshot flashbacks.
Ryan G. Posted 7 months ago
I cant explain my need to see this movie. But there is no question that in two minutes without a word, i heard the call for more.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Ryan!
Kim Y. Posted 7 months ago
I am very impressed by every video you guys have put up!! Great special effects and characterization, Keep up the amazing work! Can't wait to see it in theatres!!!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Kim!
Teague P. Posted 7 months ago
Great use of sound effects. Really powerful audio and visuals. Also was that a brewhouse tall boy? Very Saskatchewan of you guys.
Cheryl M. Posted 7 months ago
This movie looks amazing! Very well done... this is definitely the type of movie I would go see in the theater!
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
Brilliantly done. Loved the way you guys conveyed his hyper senses by elevating the noise of every little thing, especially the sound of the razor scraping across the face. Nice touches.
Gord G. Posted 7 months ago
I like where this film is going and really hope it gets to be made. This mission was very well done.
Jen A. Posted 7 months ago
The more I see about this movie, the more excited I get to see more! I like the sense of humor teamed with a straight up werewolf movie. Well done!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!
mike e. Posted 7 months ago
interesting scene. Very easy to follow whats happening. "oh man, time to get up already...time to shave...hey i just shaved there...why am i bleeding and how was that not the first thing i noticed"
Rob N. Posted 7 months ago
I enjoyed this clip, it could use some fine tuning, but that will come with time and financing. I am unsure of the beverage that the character second guesses drinking, but I think it would be clever if it was a "silver bullet" Coors Light.
Jason T. Posted 7 months ago
Outstanding. Really impressed by the shot of stubble bursting through the face. Seamless mix of dread, humour and suspense. You guys are really gettting into the posssibilities of your premise. I would see this!
Frances L. Posted 7 months ago
Love the sound effects with the beard, and the music sets the tone well. The subtle hint of blood on his shirt then revealing such damage underneath increases the element of confusion. Nicely done. Enjoying watching your progression! :) Team #RedHorizon
Michael B. Posted 7 months ago
I like the sound and mood of the music, sets the tone well. Combining humor and awesome Wolfcop-ness must have been tough.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Michael!
Danny L. Posted 7 months ago
I am sure we have all started a day after but this takes it to the next level the hightened scenses the hair growing back and then the reaization of the chest cuts and the memories coming back great job
Donal O. Posted 7 months ago
Top notch guys. Absolutely top notch. I wish I had something more brilliant but you guys are on fire.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Ha! Thanks Donal.
Shelley T. Posted 7 months ago
Very cleverly done!
Jeff U. Posted 7 months ago
If the film is able to combine this kind of straight-up werewolf story with the humour that was evident in the trailer, it could be a lot of fun to watch! I'm thinking along the lines of the blending of genres that American Werewolf in London and Shaun of the Dead were able to pull off. If you can do the same you'll have a classic on your hands!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks a lot, Jeff. You referenced a couple films we are inspired by. We strive for that balance!
Antonio J. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome tells a story with no words! I love his reaction.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Antonio!
Tawni B. Posted 7 months ago
The day after. Mr. Wolfcop must be an alcoholic. Going on a bender and then waking up the next day hungover. But this was a different kind of hang over.. All his senses are heightened, great use of the sound effects for that. I am a little surprised that his scratches weren't healed. That could be just my Hollywood werewolf knowledge.. Awesome job with the music, I could feel the panic.
GJR Superfan ^.^
Casey P. Posted 7 months ago
great use of sound and music to set the mood this is turning out to be one of the better films on here good luck
Brenden M. Posted 7 months ago
Cool effects! I like how simple this was but it showed us more of the story. Really like what you guys are putting out!
Branden S. Posted 7 months ago
well im not a fan of werewolf movies but some of the below comments ring true, good use of the speechless aspect
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
umm this was amazing. There's really not much more to say.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Natalia! The best kind of compliment.
Cara S. Posted 7 months ago
This didn't feel like a mission, this felt like a very amazing kick-ass part of a real movie. The sound effects were amazing; mirroring a werewolf's improved hearing was a stroke of true genius, especially if you can't say anything. Bravo!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Cara!
Nathan M. Posted 7 months ago
When film makers say less is more, they are absolutely right. Characters who don't have to tell the audience "I feel this way" is always annoying. This scene is the perfect example of what to do. The sounds and reactions are more than enough to convey what's going on. Great job.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Nathan!
Nathan M. Posted 7 months ago
You're welcome.
Shawn B. Posted 7 months ago
You picked a great moment in the film for the Speechless mission... the scene works beautifully with just the sounds of shaving and water and alarm clock.
Gill R. Posted 7 months ago
I really enjoyed the speechless scene. Good music and great effects get the whole thing across perfectly.
Ada K. Posted 7 months ago
nice all round , well shot , great sound makes this really pop, hair effect was cool too
Danielle M. Posted 7 months ago
Your mission video has done a great job at revealing some of the story behind WolfCop! Itâs nice to see a more quiet moment. You guys did a great job as always and you totally left me wanting to see more!
Richard P. Posted 7 months ago
like the hair growth effect!
charles w. Posted 7 months ago
I love love love the sound of the razor dragging across the skin. Great sounds. (I also liked the trailer very much)
Travis B. Posted 7 months ago
Fucking awesome, guys! LOVE the shot of his facial hair growing back in, sounds design was perfect!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
That was really well done. Great shots and good background music. Good visual effects with the beard growing back in. I really enjoyed seeing something different than your trailer.
Tim T. Posted 7 months ago
Always fun to see practical effects. Love the little dimples each prickly hair growing out leaves. A bit skin crawling. To satisfy fan mission #9, I think Lou might pound that beer and head into work where the sounds and smells of an active police department might drive him insane!
Derick M. Posted 7 months ago
not bad my fellow reginans, if i were to change anything, the second shot of the hair growing is just a little too long, lets me focus too much and "feel" that it's fake. and the louder shaving sound is a touch too loud and overpowering. just my nitpicks :p
Susan C. Posted 7 months ago
The sound was impressive. The whisker growth was a little strange but loved the shock effect of the under shirt reveal.
Mark R. Posted 7 months ago
The heightened sound of the hair regrowing is a real highlight to this scene. I also enjoyed the suspenseful use of music.
Eric T. Posted 7 months ago
There is a lot of great subtlety that elevates this scene. I really like the wolf-like dog and the tall boy beer. It helps us understand a little more about Lou.
Lesley C. Posted 7 months ago
Intense sound, love it! Interesting ending, makes me wonder about the mythology of your universe. Can't wait to learn more.
Mary R. Posted 7 months ago
Oh, I love it. Great use of sound and flashbacks to show how the character's world is being transformed.
Matt P. Posted 7 months ago
nice use of sound effects. and close up shots. totally made me go what the f along with the main character. - team Post-Apocalyptica
Cody K. Posted 7 months ago
awesome sound design! you guys killing it as always! cant wait to see it turned into a feature! -The Last Video store
Julie H. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome!! Great effects with the hair growing. And I love the way you give data without dialog -- he's just waking up after 9am and reaches right away for a beer, etc.
Chado M. Posted 7 months ago
I like this scene - your spfx are excellent. I'm not sure if using a scene that wouldn't have dialog anyway for this mission was the right choice, but as always you guys are pro - keep it up!
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
First, love the dog. Second, you guys have been consistently awesome and able to reveal more of the story & character, while keeping true to your genre. Bravo!
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Well done fellas! That was a load of fun, enjoyed it completely. The opening implied hangover with the beer was fab. #i90Army
Nadav S. Posted 7 months ago
nice moment to choose for the scene, very intriguing without being too revealing. The flashbacks are working! good job!
David F. Posted 7 months ago
Nice camera shots and flashbacks. Good use of music. keep up the good work, looking forward to more.
Marianne M. Posted 7 months ago
The sound effects were really well used and very effective. I found myself cringing in a number of spots.
Annelise L. Posted 7 months ago
Clearly a transformation in progress. Love to see some kind of reaction from his dog (just don't hurt the puppy! :-) )
Samantha L. Posted 7 months ago
Nice one! You didn't overdo it with the louder noises. It was subtle! Great look to this little snippet too.
Doug G. Posted 7 months ago
I'm curious about the facial hair close-up... was that built over-scale, then shot in reverse to get the stubble to grow?
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Ha! Doug, you clearly know your stuff...
Leslie H. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done again. The close up scene with the facial hair growing back is really cool. How did you to that?
Emersen Z. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Leslie! Its a secret... any guesses?
Jess P. Posted 7 months ago
Love this! Especially the sound of his razor across his skin! Nicely done.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jess.
Kyle L. Posted 7 months ago
Totally kick ass. Reminds me of a few nights I don't quite totally remember. The only thing that is missing is the bottle of aspirin.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Ha! Thanks, Kyle. Yes, Lou reaches for beer before aspirin. He's old school.
Stephen S. Posted 7 months ago
I liked how you were really able to get across the feeling of the film in this challenge. Effective storytelling you guys!
LeeAnn D. Posted 7 months ago
Ooh well that was well done, creepy, I understood the plot effectively... Sound was heightened, perhaps on purpose...?
Chris C. Posted 7 months ago
Really liked what you guys did with this mission. It looks like it fits in perfectly well with the final product. Keep it up!
Stephanie K. Posted 7 months ago
You know what? I loved this. While I agree with Kelly that it would work better with a bit more tongue-in-cheek, I think you guys did a stellar job this week. Also, that dog was freakin' adorable
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Stephanie!
Kelly G. Posted 7 months ago
Really great job this week. My only criticism is that I don't see this working without a tongue firmly lodged in its cheek (See Lake Cop). But the heightened senses and the hair regrowing were excellent. You guys do good work, I just hope the seriousness of it all gets dialed back and we can enjoy it as much as you guys clearly do in your missions. Good luck!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Kelly. Trust us, there will be some definite "out there" moments to enjoy. We just don't want to go over the top silly too often! Gotta keep you on your toes... ;)
Rick H. Posted 7 months ago
looks good, like the sound effects and quick edit shots and I actually see humor in this and it has a campy feel
Will R. Posted 7 months ago
Very well done. The hair effect was excellent and you told a great story without feeling forced into the mission!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Will.
Benjamin O. Posted 7 months ago
I have the same problem. They should put out a "Wolfcop" brand of shaving accessories to delay that 5 o'clock shadow.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Haha. Are you...also a werewolf?
Em K. Posted 7 months ago
Pretty cool! Great effects! So, is your movie already shot? If Wolfcop is the protagonist, who is the antagonist?
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, Em. Movie is not already shot, we just filmed this scene for the CineCoup mission. Yes, Lou is our protagonist. I don't want to spoil all the fun, but there is a good antagonist. Hopefully you'll soon see them...!
Emma S. Posted 7 months ago
I get more and more confused on your genre and angle as every mission comes out. Way to keep everyone guessing. Neat hair growth! - Cheers #ldrfilm
Dana B. Posted 7 months ago
A campy meatballs, this is for sure. Guess it all depends on what type of first foot forward cinecoup wants to take... This project would be entertaining, but perhaps it has missed the mark on the demographic. Twelve year old boys must absolutely love this project.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
12 year old boys will LOVE this movie. And older "12 year old boys and girls at heart"...
John K. Posted 7 months ago
Nice work, team. Really liked the hair growing effect... Keep up the bar high. I look forward to seeing more from Wolfcop as you move through the competition
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks John!!
Deadline M. Posted 7 months ago
Great job with this week's mission...definitely get a better sense of the story behind Wolfcop! Looking forward to next week.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Deadline.
Michelle H. Posted 7 months ago
Loved the stubble growing back part. Seeing the character piece together what happened to him was Well done.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks. That hair growth was a practical effect!
Will B. Posted 7 months ago
I am still a huge fan of the piratical effects. The hair growing back shot was super fun. Very nice and simple sequence that shows the character learning about his new self. Much like Spider-Man. My only gripe would be the sand paper sound on the shave was a little strong.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Will. Yes, much like a hero realizing they have powers for the first time type of scene. We had to make the shaving really weird to make sure it stood out as being "wrong". We wanted the audience to feel as uncomfortable as Lou was!
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Alright for Fan mission 4 adding to the story of what happens next on WolfCop
Lou panics as flashes of the night before come back to him. He goes to the fridge opens the door to find only Bud Lime is left. He grabs the beer twists off the top and starts to take a long pull. He spits out the foul tasting beer and throws the bottle against the wall.
Lou looks out the window and sees a Liquor store sign down the block.
Cut to Lou Lou sitting down in the liquor store with a six pack of Paddockâs Loki beer between his legs and 5 empty beer bottles on the ground. Behind the counter the clerk shaking in fear is trying to load a old revolver.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome, well played Aiden.
Kyle L. Posted 7 months ago
mmmm Loki
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Great visuals and amazing sound effects. And great use of flashbacks, makes it mysterious - I wanna know more now :)
Lindsay S. Posted 7 months ago
Great work guys. Creepy, but good! Definitely has me interested in seeing the final project, good luck!
Joel S. Posted 7 months ago
Great work guys as always! Loved the sfx on the shave and the fx on the regrowing hair. - Joel from #Westthemovie
Rachel C. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool mission video guys! The sound gave me chills! Made me feel as though I were right in the scene and also turning all werewolfy...wait, there was a full moon this week.... ;) - Team Rock Bottom
Erik H. Posted 7 months ago
Liked the clip. the film seems pretty interesting. I would really like to see the finished product. Keep up the good work guys.
Sheleena B. Posted 7 months ago
Liked the hardcore shaving noises! Creepy yet fascinating. Those are some pretty disturbing chest wounds.
Maureen M. Posted 7 months ago
Great scene to pick, I like the use of flashbacks. Although not meant to be funny, the blood on the t-shirt reminds me of a scene from 40 year old virgin. You did a good job here.
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Very Dexter. I like the creepy SFX and hairy-theme. Cute dog too. Wolfish in fact. Nice speechless suspense. Go team!
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Katie!
Janne H. Posted 7 months ago
Does the dog play a part in his becoming a werewolf? He looks a little wolfish. I bet he's eaten a few cats!
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
Loved Teen Wolf. Love WolfCop. Go team!
Janne H. Posted 7 months ago
Creepy!
Monty J. Posted 7 months ago
You guys keep on doing a great job week on week out! I'm a true fan, see you fits in the Top40!!! Go Wolfcop
Jade t. Posted 7 months ago
I like that you chose a daily routine and not just an action sequence.. gives more time to see the character and we get some background of his wolfy beginnings
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Jade. We thought about something more crazy but in the end decided to go the "intimate moment" route.
Jade t. Posted 7 months ago
I approve! Espescially since I was expecting some crazy wolf-out scene.. pleasant surprise:)
Christopher W. Posted 7 months ago
(reposting this) Great use of sound and I like the subtle bit of character development, having him reach for the beer and deciding to put it back down.
Hugh P. Posted 7 months ago
another sweet weekly mission vid for Wolfcop.
Connor B. Posted 7 months ago
I liked the use of showing that he can be just going through his ordinary routine and something extraordinary will happen to him. But I felt that the scene ended before it got a chance to start.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
We agree! We had a time limit, so this is a bit of a tease...;)
Fernando P. Posted 7 months ago
The more I see of this project, the more I'm convinced it MUST be made.
Jonny B. Posted 7 months ago
Wow, amazing FX with the stubble & the sounds design was awesome. Looking forward to seeing what other wolf skills are developed. Move over Spidey sense. Wolf Cop is tingling!
Michael K. Posted 7 months ago
Very cool! Does his hair always grow back so quickly or just on full moons? Is this showing heightened werewolf senses are is he just hung over? Maybe he's trying to figure it out too.
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
This is definitely not your average hang over, and being clean shaved in no longer an option for officer Lou.
Joe M. Posted 7 months ago
Before sound use in motion pictures actors could only rely on their bodies to provide emotional communication to the audience. What better way to communicate but with horror.
