Overview

Synopsis

Dealing with demonic possession, tentacled monsters and a basement full of demons are all in a day's work for exorcists Eli Dante and the mysterious Mr.Tom.

Though he is an outcast, due to an abnormality of his face, Tom is also a hopeless romantic and longs for the love of a woman named Shadow.

Things complicate when Shadow's little boy is kidnapped by a powerful demon, forcing Tom to journey to hell to save him- and confront his own demons in the process.

Michael is also a published film critic under Metroland Media Corporation and co-founder of the STIFFED Film Festival in Toronto (a festival for filmmakers rejected by TIFF.)

Tyler Thomas

Producer

At the Stone Canoe ad agency, Tyler has taken the helm for the H&R Block video production, producing and directing 4 national TV spots, 35 web spots and a series of successful web documentaries. As producer, project manager and lead compositor on a General Electric Digital Energy installation, Tyler learned valuable skills in 3D production and post production supervision.

David Amito

Writer, Producer

David is an award-winning actor and writer (Beware Pickpocket, Every Woman I Slept With Before I Met You). His credits include leading roles in AJ Bond’s feature film Stress Position, Michael Laicini's Detective Mark Waters and National Geographic’s prison break TV series Breakout. David has studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York City.

It's scary. I'm not a horror fan, but a well made movie should be appreciated regardless of genre. This project has started well and should appeal to many people.

wow. this looks great. I love horror and this is a great spin on things. Mr tom looks like the villain but he is the exorcist. Plus I would love to hear the back story on him. He looks like a really interesting character. Had my attention the whole time.

Wow. Simple yet effective. I'm not sure how the journey to hell will turn out, but your stuff here is incredibly well done. The audio is top notch and helps bring to life the visuals. I'm interested to see what you guys could do with a million dollars.

Very scary. I would not want to watch this unfortunately. It reminded me a lot of paranormal activity the way it was handheld, and in the house with people getting up at midnight and doing weird stuff. I found the fighting scene really really cheesy and I found it really hard not to laugh, I'm sorry. I was really confused when he ran in with blue lights on him. I think the right kind of audience would like this, unfortunately not me

Damn. That was intense. It's unfortunate that it's another exorcism movie; I think the subgenre has been tainted beyond repair. BUT, this team seems to have thought up an interesting way to go about it, and the trailer is well done and definitely has me asking questions. What's the scorpion? What's the history behind Tom? Colour me intrigued. Definitely going on the watch list.

Looks scary but found footage really can be very hit or miss (more often than not they end up terrible - even Barry Levinson can't seem to do them right). Also, clearly this team has bought their 19,0000 followers on facebook... not exactly playing by the rules.

So glad CineCoup featured this as this weekend's critic's pick - I may never have noticed it otherwise. While the found footage/exorcist subgenre may be getting a little tired, you've found a fantastically fresh character in Mr. Tom. I thought his movements could be a little more subtle, so as to keep him real and sympathetic, and not wander into comedy.

You also have a decent structural sense when it comes to trailers, something missing on many higher-viewed projects on this site, and a good use of different video qualities. Although we don't gather much of the film's story from the trailer, your protagonist carried my interest throughout.

Here's hoping you can build your fan base!
