Twelfth grader Aaron Stevens accidentally stumbles upon the aftermath of a five million dollar bank robbery in the woods while on the way to school. While hiding under a canoe, he witnesses a murder and manages to sneak away with a bag of the stolen money. Making his way back to the school he tells his shocking tale to Amanda, his drama teacher.
In his locked down High School, the psychotic robbers relentlessly pursues Aaron and Amanda in a quest to get the money back and wipe out the evidence. The only thing standing between freedom and certain death is Officer Smith. Will he get to them in time, and will Aaron and Amanda survive the night of the Pineville Heist?

Director, Writer
Lee Chambers is a film production graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University in England. After working professionally in the UK and Los Angeles, Lee moved back to Canada and has been teaching in the Film Program at Confederation College in Thunder Bay since 2005. Critical acclaim for his shorts has come from Empire Magazine, Total Film Magazine and Fox Television.
Todd Gordon
Writer
I have written several full length screenplays and short films, including Eyes On The Road w/Lee Chambers. My thriller Finders Keepers: The Root Of All Evil that I co-wrote will be released April 1, 2012 through Hulu.com and Netflix. I enjoy writing in all genres, but thrillers are my specialty.
UPDATE (May 2): Our time on CineCoup is over. There was a lot of heat on our group for not having million dollar Mission videos or a trailer with scenes from the movie but we stand by our approach and maintain that the screenplay is the REAL judge of quality, more so than an orchestrated social media campaign.
We have an amazing fan base for supporting us. Thank you... I understand that there was a huge dedication of time watching and following the CineCoup process. Shame our International fans were not allowed to join the leaderboards. Maybe they will consider that if they run it again.
To our fans (and there are many that love the book version), we will be pushing forward to make The Pineville Heist regardless... CineCoup just wasn't meant to be for us. All the best to the other projects on here. Cheers, Lee

Can do better.

I read the book and loved it! Looking forward to watching it on the big screen!

Stan T. Posted 6 months ago
I would love to take the producer of Narc's and the Charlston Daily Paper's word for it that this will be a good movie but would prefer a full-length trailer.
Julie S. Posted 6 months ago
As an avid reader it takes something special now to capture my imagination and stay enthralled in a story. This book not only had me turning pages as quick as I could to see what happens, but also had me nodding and holding my breath at certain points. Great story and very well written. I'm now a big fan!
Jes H. Posted 6 months ago
the trailer should be more about the movie, it seemed like you were trying to sell the audience. it should be more focused around the idea of the movie.
Renee D. Posted 6 months ago
hmmmm....I was interested in the cinematography and voiceover happening the suspense quickly building and then....all of a sudden it was over and a 'sales pitch' began. It seemed like this trailer was more about selling the audience of the producers previous work and the actors, none of whom I know, so I have no immediate reference or trust. Left a bland taste in my mouth.
Andrea F. Posted 6 months ago
doesn't give enough of a trailor...it's just not the same as the others.
Natalia N. Posted 6 months ago
So I've rated this a lot higher then I originally did the first week since I understand better where you guys are coming from but I still wish we could see some sort of footage or something new. I get you don't want to shoot until you have a budget but it makes it hard for people to vote when they can't see your skills or progression. The story does intrigue me though
Tyler S. Posted 6 months ago
What is this?
Ron K. Posted 6 months ago
Interesting title and logline, but the trailer posted for Cinecoup was mostly hype and promotion and told me nothing about this movie. Sorry, but I would not pay money to see this based on the trailer alone.
Ryan G. Posted 6 months ago
For a trailer this does nothing for me. Pitching the "Pitch", and not the story is not going to get me in the seat. The name dropping is also not helping.
Joe M. Posted 6 months ago
Infomercial.
Jacob R. Posted 7 months ago
I stumbled on this one, the missions just don't seem to stand out compared to others, I haven't read the book or anything and have read comments that say its a strong storyline, but I'm not getting that from what we see. If its sold 40,000 books I'm surprised its not getting better views and reviews on here... Good luck maybe it gets a wildcard spot!!
Gregory F. Posted 7 months ago
It sounds like a great premise but it's being presented like a distasteful infomercial.
Roxanne M. Posted 7 months ago
Name drop, name drop, name drop. Who cares? Show us a good trailer and we'll judge on if you should get it or not. I don't care about who's in it, how many followers you have etc, I care about the story line and whether or not you should receive the money!
Thomas R. Posted 7 months ago
Cool story, deffinately has potential. Not a huge fan of the trailer though. Good Luck.
Nicole T. Posted 7 months ago
Very suspenseful
Joslyn P. Posted 7 months ago
I know you gave me a website to learn more about this trailer but I wanted to learn through this trailer itself!! I think you should have spent more of this trailer showing actual scenes. Not promoting it by name dropping. To win you need a really enthralling and interesting trailer to catch our interest and make us remember you because of how good it was and make us want to spend all our votes on you. From this trailer we can't see what cinematography skills you have, how good your actors are because basically I only saw the back of one. From this we don't even know if this would interest us unless we did further investigations by visiting your website or reading the book. But honestly I don't really feel like visiting another website to learn more. More should have been included to keep us interested. Keep trying! :)

need to see more to get a better idea
Sandra M. Posted 7 months ago
Can't wait to see more of this project.
Fen N. Posted 7 months ago
Reminds me of A Simple Plan, that was a great movie, this will have to be exceptional to deliver after seeing a similar movie , trailer doesn't do it for me
Kathy S. Posted 7 months ago
Looks interesting, but where is the trailer?
Natalie W. Posted 7 months ago
I would have rated the trailer much higher if there were more clips from the film rather than reviews and such. I think you have a great concept for your film. Good luck!
Carolin C. Posted 7 months ago
Feel like the story has been told before...
Genevieve H. Posted 7 months ago
Didnt really feel the trailer. Sorry
Tim R. Posted 7 months ago
Damn! Cool storyline, for a thriller, this is the type of story I'm looking for. Deffinately a good story for the project. However, the trailer didn't show me much about the movie and the direction you want to take it. Good luck with the film!
Warren C. Posted 7 months ago
Trailer was way too hype on one level and a very lazy entree to cinecoup. they should be selling their services to the shopping channel
Georgia M. Posted 7 months ago
Although the plot of the movie itself looks interesting, this trailer shows pretty much none of that. It's all about bragging rights for the author and director, and not the movie itself. I'd like to see footage from the actual film, please.
Bill R. Posted 7 months ago
Couldn't even watch the whole trailer.
Kate R. Posted 7 months ago
Love the suspenseful trailer! I have read some of the other reviews and I am glad I took a look for myself. I thought is was more of a teaser than anything else out there!
Alexei F. Posted 7 months ago
Okay, I'll see it :)
Amanda C. Posted 7 months ago
I said I wouldnt rate anyone this low - But I dont like that you couldnt produce the trailer. Other people worked so hard on original concepts.
Nathan G. Posted 7 months ago
This is not a trailer. Disappointing given the effort other projects have gone to in order to make their trailers.
Wendi N. Posted 7 months ago
I like this trailer a lot. Awesome concept for what is sure to be a Fantastic Movie. I wonder about the other projects where it appears the movie has already been made. Why do they need so much funding? Are the actors going to be the same? Don't get all the negative reviews. The Pineville Heist all the way!!
Isabelle G. Posted 7 months ago
trailer definitely doesnt live up to the synopsis
Matt C. Posted 7 months ago
I like this - it's a bit different to much of the other stuff here but it definitely has merit of it's own. Great work!
Carmen H. Posted 7 months ago
pretty cool
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
synopsis sounds really cool but this is not a trailer, so frustrating
Karen T. Posted 7 months ago
not a trailer
Helen M. Posted 7 months ago
Soooooo disappointed. Based on the synopsis, which sounded good, I was really looking forward to rating a trailer about the story...NOT on a name dropping ad! If it's so highly popular and has so many big names interested, I'm sure it could manage to get funding elsewhere. If it's meant to be it will find a way..hopefully not here based on this trailer!
Bella M. Posted 7 months ago
Love Heist movies!!
Amy Z. Posted 7 months ago
With all these accomplishments I expect a better trailer. The missions are used to sell us on your project and crew.
Eric R. Posted 7 months ago
Going to be an Awesome Movie!
Troy H. Posted 7 months ago
sorry but not really a trailer I agree with others that seeing a little more trailer in addition to the resume would be better
John E. Posted 7 months ago
Nice resume.... As your trailer was just that, a really really boring resume.
Also, regarding your twitter followers: http://clouds.edgarco.com/Njpa
(I'm not bitter, just sad as I was born in t.bay)
Brianne N. Posted 7 months ago
Hey all. Its really awesome that you have so many followers, and awards and stars etc. So congrats! I wanted to see a trailer of the film though and I felt like this was more of motion graphics version of your CV's. I will check out your weekly missions to find out more!
Nina F. Posted 7 months ago
I don't get what this is about
Jaime G. Posted 7 months ago
seems like I'm watching tv on a sunday night when nothing is on
Corey T. Posted 7 months ago
Sorry guys but I am really disappointed ... this feels really infomercial like. I look forward to seeing something more.
Sue T. Posted 7 months ago
Curious to see more.
Jake C. Posted 7 months ago
All the name dropping totally turns me off. I don't care. Looks more like a pitch targeting producers.
June B. Posted 7 months ago
Great for a web series.
Dawn F. Posted 7 months ago
I like this one
Deryck D. Posted 7 months ago
cool motion cam
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
not much of a trailer....it's a commercial.
abby o. Posted 7 months ago
Ummm.... I actually thought I clicked on the first mission "The Pitch" instead of the trailer. So then I watched The Pitch. They both just seemed like a CV. I thought the synopsis sounded interesting...the rest wasn't
Carrie W. Posted 7 months ago
Loved the book! Full of thrilling action. The screenplay is award-winning. The Team have proven track record. Success is written all over this movie.
Interesting that some Cinecoup fans only want to a see a trailer and not the credentials of the whole team, especially as Cinecoup's requirements included "looking for an idea prototype that best represents your vision.... Look at it like your first impression and lasting hook that showcases your team’s talent, creativity and ability to build an audience for your feature project."
This team has not only produced an award-winning trailer, they have also got into the "packaging and marketing of their project to advance through the accelerator process" (as per Cinecoup) immediately. Great marketing technique team!
Enigma A. Posted 7 months ago
Maybe the story is good but I have no idea since all I can make out from this infomercial(and a not very entertaining one at that) is how suspenseful it insists on telling me it is. SHOW don't TELL...AND TELLING me how good something is going to be is NOT SHOWING me what you are as a film maker
Mia B. Posted 7 months ago
It was more of an ad then a trailer.
Rachel W. Posted 7 months ago
Interesting premise - might even have to go read the book to get a better idea of the story line. Would have liked to see more of a 'trailer' to get a feel for the filmmakers style, but I would like to see this make it to the next round.
Wilma S. Posted 8 months ago
can't wait to see the movie
Heather L. Posted 8 months ago
loved the book, can't wait to see the movie
Katie T. Posted 8 months ago
Not a trailer as much as it's an infomercial. Don't get a sense of the film's style at all.
Derick M. Posted 8 months ago
Alright....now where's the trailer.... Your not even on par with "an open door." at least they have a trailer...
June B. Posted 8 months ago
this one is worth following.
Patricia B. Posted 8 months ago
Why are all these people complaining about this video? There's a cool teaser here and this team seems to be a step ahead. Jealousy perhaps? Negative voting from the other filmmakers and their friends? True fans can see what's important here and the fact these guys have a book out is pretty neat. I might just order it up! This sounds like a cool film that's already primed to go before the cameras. Give them a chance! Looking forward to seeing more...
Melissa C. Posted 8 months ago
This is going to be an awesome Movie. The book was Fantastic. Can't wait to see it on the big screen. Give it a chance everyone!!

can't wait to see the movie !
Doug K. Posted 8 months ago
Good promotional trailer. Looks like a good story.
Candice M. Posted 8 months ago
Can we see more of the movie
Audrey S. Posted 8 months ago
Loved it! Seems like it'll be the perfect story line for an awesome movie! I'm team Pineville for sure!
Lynne M. Posted 8 months ago
Reading the overview I thought looks good, watch the trailer. Where is it? Disappointing
Kaolee Y. Posted 8 months ago
Cant wait for this to come out!
Mike L. Posted 8 months ago
I thought I was watching a trailer about a movie not how great the director and rest of his team are
Eleanor M. Posted 8 months ago
I loved the book and from the interaction I've had with Lee himself via Twitter, this project is going to be unbelievable. I am so excited that Booboo Stewart wants to be part of a great new movie. Here's to the future success of The Pineville Heist! We're rooting for you Lee!
Richard M. Posted 8 months ago
Would of loved to see more movie content in this trailer
Brenden M. Posted 8 months ago
too much flash around not enough product
Adam L. Posted 8 months ago
cool idea
Jenn M. Posted 8 months ago
The book is fantastic and to see it come alive, will be epic!
Sean Michael T. Posted 8 months ago
seems like an good story and a unique approach to the pitch
Janine F. Posted 8 months ago
Watching a hand move around credits doesn't work for me at all as a trailer. I want to see a real trailer since it actually sounds interesting, but the hand and the quotes... nah.
Sally B. Posted 8 months ago
Looks like a talented crew with a great idea. Can't wait to see the movie.
Alice H. Posted 8 months ago
An exciting project I have been watching unfolding a Twitter and Facebook. Looking forward to the movie.
Anne A. Posted 8 months ago
more of a self promotion than a trailer. would have liked to see what they say they can do!
Michelle G. Posted 8 months ago
These people sadly didn't understand the purpose of this competition. You're supposed to make a trailer not an advertisement!
Brenda D. Posted 8 months ago
Exciting to watch! Enjoyed the book immensely!
Sandra B. Posted 8 months ago
Can't wait for the movie to be made. Read the book and loved it
Jason L. Posted 8 months ago
Just tell me a story please.
Chado M. Posted 8 months ago
was this a trailer or a self-promoting infomercial?
Jeremy B. Posted 8 months ago
This felt more like a commercial.
Donald Y. Posted 8 months ago
I'm going to investigate this more. The trailer suggests "Student Film" but the credits suggest a professional production is to be expected. Maybe it is a case of not being connected to the filmmaking centres of Canada. I must read the book. I hope it is going to make me more appreciative of the project.
Michael C. Posted 8 months ago
Interesting twist with the teaser.
Afzal H. Posted 8 months ago
I would have liked to see a "glimpse of the film" in the trailer rather than what the director has done in the past.
Joe C. Posted 8 months ago
Where's the trailer? I even went to youtube and the website and found nothing. Storyboard sketches? It's too bad - seems like a cool idea.
Michelle S. Posted 8 months ago
it's a great book and they are working so hard to make this happen ! i'm sure it will be a big success because people from all over the world are promoting pineville. i'm from holland and i promote them everyday because the books are great and i have to see it as a movie! all the people who are involved are so nice, friendly and hardworking that they really deserve it to win this !
michelle schilperoort, from the Netherlands
Tara D. Posted 8 months ago
Brilliant! This project seems perfectly suited for Cinecoup as the film team has already engaged with tons of fans with the book and we REALLY want to see the movie version. A vibrant trailer that really sells it! Go Team Pineville!
Kandi P. Posted 8 months ago
This movie is going to be great! Read the book & keep re-reading it. Trailer makes me even more exited!
