Looking at all the interviews and EIFF photos makes me confident in your guys passion for this and the effort you guys put in to promote your works. I am 100% confident in your ability to produce a movie of this scope.
Brock S. Posted 6 months ago
Your guys ambitions are admirable. I too hope one day that many Canadian films are considered must see in theatre films.
Alexandra S. Posted 6 months ago

I really admire your enthusiasm and the fact that you are all so young making these epic looking shots using clever techniques is super. There have been some pretty amazing Canadian films that Hollywood has noticed and awarded though. I think Canadian's perspective on "Canadian Film" is more skewed than how others see us but I understand where you are coming from. Look into Cronenberg, Jewison, Egoyan...even Lucas was inspired by the NFB.
Akash S. Posted 6 months ago
Loved that you brought that up! When we scripted this mission, we had a segment dedicated to shout outs to how much we appreciate Canadian film, Cronenburg, Jewison, Egoyan, Dowse, and of course Sarah Polley were in it :) Sadly we had to cut it due to the time constraints.
I completely agree that most Canadian moviegoers have the wrong idea about our country's film, there is a lot here and some wonderful people working in the industry. However, I do believe we can be pushed further and deliver films of a bigger scope. Because part of the Cinecoup deal is having the winner's film screened nation-wide in every cineplex theatre, it would be great to see a movie that reinforces the cinema experience, not simply something people will wait to rent.

Akash and team- Congratulations on a very strong execution. Akash, way to be bold, way to decide to revolutionize Canadian film, to be Canadian yet not have to adhere to what is supposedly CanCon.
Cat R. Posted 6 months ago

Nice personal pitch. The youth angle is a good one and works well with your story. Good luck. (Life of a Locksmith)
Mark V. Posted 6 months ago
Very inspiring work from you guys once again. I love your work ethic how you're never "OMG ARE MOVIE IS AWESOME VOTE 4 US" You like to demonstrate the emotions from these characters from a perspective that hasn't been shown off in film before. Every time a new mission comes out I feel like the message connects and has this emotional grasp that wants you to explore deeper into the film.
Jordan S. Posted 6 months ago
Another fantastic mission guys. Your dedication and inspiration really come through in this one. Keep up the great efforts!
Serena L. Posted 6 months ago

The Uprising clips are always one of the highlights of my week. It is obvious that you all care deeply about Canadian film and really want to see it take its place in the world. Amazing. Best quote "We appreciate the uniqueness of Canadian film, it separates itself from Hollywood."
