Poster B looks mysterious and and frightening. "change the world" with one person standing in the shot has a huge impact on me.
Kerri S. Posted 5 months ago
Love Poster A! :D
MemeModel K. Posted 6 months ago
awesome
Sharon M. Posted 6 months ago
EPIC !!
Stephanie B. Posted 6 months ago
Poster A looks great.
Ross W. Posted 6 months ago
Incredible
Angela S. Posted 6 months ago
A - looks very epic!
Sharon M. Posted 6 months ago
Mollding ...love the poster with the charcters in the distance!!
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
love poster 2
Stacey A. Posted 6 months ago
Both posters are great, tough to pick just one.
Rita M. Posted 6 months ago
Yes both are great
Cat R. Posted 6 months ago
I think it says a lot to your talent that you can create TWO really great professional-looking movie posters. Well, actually, THREE professional posters, if you include the Unofficial poster on the lower left of this page. Again, your creativity is truly limitless. I so want to see your team make this movie because I think you have a lot of talent and passion to offer the industry.
Lu C. Posted 7 months ago
The ghosting effect of the second poster adds the broader audience that look for ancient classic historical while the hooded character and shades brings the now or futuristic audience.
Ryan D. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B stands out the most.
Paul S. Posted 7 months ago
Nice job. Great idead
Jacki R. Posted 7 months ago
I like the strength and intrigue of B
Trish M. Posted 7 months ago
I like the depth of A
Shafer C. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B looks so pro. I'm blown away! Way to go guys.
Louise M. Posted 7 months ago
Very nice - it was a tough choice! I was thinking the white background one didn't hint at anything else. What is there was a shadowy city outline in the distance? Like through fog?
Cat R. Posted 7 months ago
Very professional. I can see this "coming to a theatre near you" in the near future! Talented team of young people.
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
Both excellent posters. Chose A.
Todd M. Posted 7 months ago
Like them both guys. Great work. Yeah... I'm sure you're sick of hearing the look is derivative of Assassin's Creed/Arrow... but hey... it's a COOL look! : ) Good work and good luck!
Joel M. Posted 7 months ago
they are both so sick! but A looks like it should be hung outside Cineplex. Like this film should be IN cinelplex
Timothy R. Posted 7 months ago
Legit! These posters are really accurate to the genre. Beauty!
Marianne M. Posted 7 months ago
eye catching posters
Liam C. Posted 7 months ago
Both are nice!
Andie Q. Posted 7 months ago
like it with the background. the world is part of the story
Mark B. Posted 7 months ago
Clever design find...
Pina V. Posted 7 months ago
#2 is really cool.
Jason T. Posted 7 months ago
I like the looks of the 2nd one but the 1st one seems more marketable.
patricia s. Posted 7 months ago
I choose A but love them both
Elie K. Posted 7 months ago
Hey! You guys'll are using Burj Dubai in poster A! Cool! I never the less chose Poster B as I liked that more.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Haha good eye! We sketched out a building similar to it! I wanted to make that city a tad more contemporary than futuristic because it would be more believable to see in the near future.
Jeremy J. Posted 7 months ago
The first poster looks more official, I like it.
Melanie K. Posted 7 months ago
the symbol looks like the back of a photo frame for a desk. cool stuff
Raj S. Posted 7 months ago
Love them both!
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome!! Glad you like them!
Calen P. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A is what I like for sure.
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Cool! We like the classic look of it too.
Jeremie R. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A for me. Good luck guys.
mitch h. Posted 7 months ago
The light/dark thing going on in B is dope.
Nishant B. Posted 7 months ago
Both are pretty good! chose B because the solo superhero look is far more appealing to me than a group theme.
Sarah W. Posted 7 months ago
So kaaaooooolllllll!!!!
Jonathan M. Posted 7 months ago
man i have to say poster A! it really catches the eye, and theres just something about it!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks man! I'm glad it catches your eye!
Alan N. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A more professional, more content, more for the eye to look at. good job
Matt B. Posted 7 months ago
I like both, but I chose A because B feels kinda like a call of duty cover
Jade K. Posted 7 months ago
Absolutely fantastic! Props to all of you! I couldn't pick a favourite. #youguysrule
Alexa H. Posted 7 months ago
poster A looks more professional! more depth... that darkly gleaming road and misty horizon create a great atmosphere :))
Meg C. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A definitely! It is more mysterious and draws you in!
Leslie S. Posted 7 months ago
I love them both, but there's something about Poster A that catches my eye a little more :)
John R. Posted 7 months ago
It's hard to choose, they look sweet on the wall in the prints picture. Gotta go with A though
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks man! We love the prints haha
Cameron L. Posted 7 months ago
Looking good! Eye catching!
Hagen K. Posted 7 months ago
Both are nice, but i prefer b just because it catches the eye better.
David U. Posted 7 months ago
They're both awesome! But I prefer A, just because it has a better sense of scale to it, more epic I guess you could say =P.
Emmy Kathryn D. Posted 7 months ago
I chose B because its simple and yet oh so very mysterious. Plus there's a full picture of that really hot guy. B nailed it ;)
Tempo S. Posted 7 months ago
I really like A because I find it more provocative and intense.
Kaz R. Posted 7 months ago
Both are excellent!! I chose A purely because it sets the scene.
Brian L. Posted 7 months ago
Both are excellent versions. it's a tough choice but version A is my pick. Mainly because it conveys the group dynamic which seems is a stronger theme in the film opposed to the solo vigilante.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Yes the group dynamic is hugely important in this film!
Rachel L. Posted 7 months ago
super professional looking posters - totally awesome
Stephanie K. Posted 7 months ago
Something was bugging me about the logo (which looks cool, don't get me wrong), and I just figured it out. It looks super similar to the Mitsubishi logo - have you guys run this through a lawyer?
Tara Z. Posted 7 months ago
Or better yet, see if Mitsubishi will pay for a product placement and change it to look exactly like the Mitsubishi logo. You could have a rugged Mitsubishi driving over the wastelands....
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Hi Stephanie! We do notice the similarity, but again as you can see in our first attached image, there was no inspiration drawn from their logo. Because of this comment I went and got a legal opinion and I'd like to share what I learnt!
First off the dimensions, colour, and texture differ completely and this is obvious when looked at side by side, so nothing is copied.
Secondly, the industries are so different there is a certain amount of doubt that people would confuse Uprising for a car movie, and vice versa.
However, there is the "confusion" debate, where something can be so similar it can be mistaken for something else, and this is going to a problem if it happens to be a confusion of trade-marks in the marketplace. Again there is quite a bit of doubt that this will actually be mistaken for that car company's logo, though perhaps just receive comments on how it is similar they are.
At the moment I think we are going to stick with our symbol because we designed it with pure intention and purpose (check out the meaning behind the symbol in this week's fun fact!), however we are keeping your feedback in the back of our minds and are open to making some alterations in the future should the "confusion" debate continue. Uprising has been evolving - and will continue to evolve - over the course of the Cinecoup Film Accelerator and is essentially going through some trial and error with the material we release, so we GREATLY appreciate your comments/feedback because it's a huge help! So don't be shy we are always listening!
Thanks so much Stephanie!
Stephanie K. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for your response! Your commitment to actually check this sort of thing out really says a lot for your commitment to the movie. Mad props to you :)
Colin Y. Posted 7 months ago
Really like the look of poster B but wish it had the credits there too. Voted for it regardless! Great work.
Daniel H. Posted 7 months ago
I prefer Poster B because it's not as cluttered as Poster A. Nice work.
Donald Y. Posted 7 months ago
I like the feel of A. Perhaps B is less appealing to me as the background is so light and simple.
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Seem like the battle is between simplicity and showing the story!
Suzanna B. Posted 7 months ago
Love Poster B, I find it more intriguing for sure! Great design & overall aesthetic! - Sapience
Patrick S. Posted 7 months ago
Voted for B. Slick imagery, guys! -Scam
Gertray D. Posted 7 months ago
Either one works.
Jonathan K. Posted 7 months ago
smart!
Rachael E. Posted 7 months ago
Love the left one. Love the colours used and the whole tone of the poster. It's where my eyes instantly went on this page!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
That's great to know! thank you :)
peter w. Posted 7 months ago
Both are pretty good in my opinion first ones seems to show more of how it is a huge task to cause change
Josh R. Posted 7 months ago
Amazing work guys! :)
Janelle S. Posted 7 months ago
Either way both posters are hot so I'm sold.
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
I like the ominous feeling in poster #1.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! Definitely indented a bit of an ominous feel
Helen M. Posted 7 months ago
Love the depth of A
Andro W. Posted 7 months ago
I think the abstract fade off in the white poster appeals more to artists- and it keeps it rather enigmatic.
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Definitely had to google enigmatic - yep definitely a good word for it haha!
Sue T. Posted 7 months ago
The first one gives a little more of an idea of what the film's about.
Lauren G. Posted 7 months ago
Cool posters. I would suggest making sure you set yourself in the artwork from the TV series Arrow and in your synopsis from the new feature The Colony. Looks like a fun project though.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Our project differs greatly from those two series but I've heard good things about them! We are definitely having fun with Uprising, to us it feels like it's grown so much since we first entered Cinecoup!
Danny M. Posted 7 months ago
Crazy though call. Going with A because there's more to see. B doesn't let me know there's other badasses or a futuristic setting. I do like the crispness of B more, but A it is for this cowgirl.
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! Glad you like both of them :)
Tyler R. Posted 7 months ago
Wow. Great job. Both unreal, and deffinately grab my attention. I like poster B more, leaves a bit more mystery than poster A.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Tyler!
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A tells a better story. And creates the mood.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
I'm glad you think A does a good job of telling a story!
courtney n. Posted 7 months ago
Is there any way I can grab a print?!
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
We just might do a few contests for poster giveaways soon... ;)
Joslyn P. Posted 7 months ago
Both posters look very professional and it's very hard to choose because both look really really great. Keep up the good work!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
haha greatly appreciated Joslyn!
Helena H. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A
Joe M. Posted 7 months ago
Effective.
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Both are really cool but ultimately had to choose Poster B! Just love the look of it! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Sometimes simplicity is the key! :)
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
It's so true! :)
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A is really well done, nice work
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Collin!
Darren R. Posted 7 months ago
I chose Poster B but both are great posters. Excellent work. #absolutionmovie
Jessica W. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B is really awesome, but it's more what you would expect to see with dramatic action movies these days... for example, the 007 posters - most are James bond on a white background. Poster A is my choice, because it is not only extremely well designed, it is also unique, and more dramatic with the ark colours. Good job, btw, of making sure you can still see every detail. Often times, with so many dark colours, you sacrifice the details of the photo, but you guys managed to keep it clean... Nice.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
I really love your feed back here Jessica, we took two different approaches. I think both are good in there own ways, we wanted to have one darker one and one lighter. I'm glad you think poster A does a good job of remaining dark but exposing detail!
Josh T. Posted 7 months ago
first one shows more skill I think. Looks so professional compared to some of the other posters out there! definitely displays skills!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
That means a lot Josh!
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
Hard to choose guys, both are really well done. (Team Gillian's Just Right).
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! Picked poster B for yours - which did you settle on for Uprising??
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
Hey Timothy, I picked A. I feel it captures the sci-fi/apocalyptic world you've created and signals the genre immediately. Though B is great for promos and looks snazzy, A seems more like the official film poster.
Alexa B. Posted 7 months ago
I actually really like the back view of the character, very dramatic (in the 'unofficial'poster) But the stylistic treatment on Poster B is cool.
Isn't is great when you find inspiration in the world around you!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Alexa! It was a tough choice between the unofficial poster and B, i think in the future we might release a refined version or something inspired by the unofficial one!
Alexa B. Posted 7 months ago
good idea!
Christopher F. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A is just super intense, I like it!
Jordan M. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome designs guys!!!
Alyssa L. Posted 7 months ago
the black one, because its more eye-catching (like papaya)
Meagan P. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A is bloody cool
HyunSoo S. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A's background is TOO SICK.
Trevor L. Posted 7 months ago
poster A looks more legit. like cwambwewy bwead
Janine F. Posted 7 months ago
They are both beautiful designs. Difficult choice.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
thanks Janine! sorry to make the choice difficult haha!
Will B. Posted 7 months ago
I find B more attention grabbing, and A too dark and busy. My two cents, which are useless since the penny was eliminated.
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
haha damn penny! Thanks for the feedback Will, both are very different but I'm you were able to find one you liked better!
Tim R. Posted 7 months ago
I think both look great! but B is the winner for me...
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Tim! What makes B win it for you we'd love to know why! :)
Laurel L. Posted 7 months ago
You guys rock.
Davis R. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A looks so dope
Daylen M. Posted 7 months ago
Great work on the posters! Love the contrast between the two but I prefer the first one because it provides a bit more insight into the film. Keep up the awesome work!
Jolianne L. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B does catch my attention!
Jonathan F. Posted 7 months ago
I think the dark one looks better, but the other one might do a better job catching someone's attention.
Parker W. Posted 7 months ago
Love the fun fact of the week by the way, keep those going!
Parker W. Posted 7 months ago
THESE ARE AMAZING. You guys have to win just so these can be up in Cineplex :). I'm being honest guys, your symbol and just overall visual style will catch on (it already is!!)
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Why thank you Parker glad you liked them!
Kris J. Posted 7 months ago
Great work on the posters. They both have selling features and would do well.
Matthew S. Posted 7 months ago
Both of these are so good. The only reason I chose the left one is because it looks so professional and is something that would be outside the theatre. I really like the right one because of its simplicity though
Chris C. Posted 7 months ago
Poster #1 definitely looks like some thing you'd see outside a theater. Good work guys.
Dinah H. Posted 7 months ago
Poster 1 is awesome. Very intriguing!
Elizabeth S. Posted 7 months ago
That is one fancy ruler my friend.
June B. Posted 7 months ago
I think you guys should autograph the ruler and give it away to one of your super fans ;)
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
haha we might just have to do that June!
June B. Posted 7 months ago
Just sayin'... :D
Andre v. Posted 7 months ago
Chose the first one but also like the white and red one in the extra images!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Andre! It was hard to choose which one to use for B, but we'll never forget the white and red one!
Rachel M. Posted 7 months ago
I like them both!
Sam L. Posted 7 months ago
Both posters are awesome! I also love the unofficial poster. Great work!
Kaitlyn M. Posted 7 months ago
Love the design concept of both. The first definitely has the vibe of what I'd see in a theatre that would make me want to go and see it, so that's where my vote has landed! The second still has great potential as a promotional tool.
Also, I love the engineering ruler inspiration.
Lee H. Posted 7 months ago
these posters are GORGEOUS, its funny cause you guys are like 18 and have more ability than most others in this competition. A is just so legit
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Lee! Age is just a number though, it's all up to creativity and experience, and there's a lot of that among many of the teams here!
Jacquie G. Posted 7 months ago
nice ! you guys got this!
Grace M. Posted 7 months ago
posters look legit, well done team awesome!
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Although I really enjoy the contrast of the 2nd design, I select the 1st as it is even more intriguing with the city scape in the bg, classic cool! #i90Army
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Allan! Both of your posters are fabulous!
Grayson W. Posted 7 months ago
The spray paint look is awesome by the way!
Akash S. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! We definitely like that style, every revolution needs an iconic look!
Grayson W. Posted 7 months ago
Love them both, by far some of the best here, i think A is just amazing. Can't wait to see it in theatres! haha
Michael M. Posted 7 months ago
you're still using the Mitsubishi symbol
Grayson W. Posted 7 months ago
Look at fun fact 1...it kicks the mitsubishi symbol's butt
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Glad the symbol is still sticking with you :) #BeSticky, right?
Anita N. Posted 7 months ago
So good!!! The first one belongs in movie theaters, and the second is also just so cool.
Alex C. Posted 7 months ago
Yeah, great posters, a really tough choice!
Mikaela C. Posted 7 months ago
They're both SO GOOD. Chose the 2nd one solely because I now want it on a t shirt. - Team Rabbit
Cooper B. Posted 7 months ago
So far this is the tightest one for me... both good!
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome!!
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
the skyline on the first poster is wicked
Jason M. Posted 7 months ago
i actually dig the Unofficial Uprising Poster glad you made it to the next round #i90Army
Timothy C. Posted 7 months ago
Cool, we really liked it too - almost switched it out for poster B!
Knighten R. Posted 7 months ago
I like both but leaned slightly toward number 2
June B. Posted 7 months ago
Having to choose one, I prefer the one with the cityscape. Gives a bigger picture of the concept of the film. Palette is very evocative too. [Still having trouble actually voting!]
