This is the most touching genesis video in the entire competition.

Wow! Thanks Tyler! We wanted to show how personal the story of the film can be. Alzheimer's and Dementia are affecting more people and families each year. We hope this film can help bring to light just how prominent this issue is and how important it is that we learn to deal with it in new ways.

well done

This project seems so deep. I find it even more captivating knowing that you do have genuine knowledge as to how it feels to deal with the drama of such a terrible disease. I'm sure such a project will evoke strong emotions from the audience.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
We are sure too, we are trying to draw from a 'real life' need to want to communicate with our loved ones, but are unable to do so because they live with Alzheimer's. thank you Ella!
Stacey A. Posted 6 months ago
My grandmother had alzheimer's, and it was devistating to her family to watch her lose all memory of who we were, and what this disease can do to a sufferer's body. I hope she found peace in her dreams.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
I hope to capture a story that revolves around wanting to connect with a loved one who you've lost to Alzheimer's. Thank you for taking the time to watch our Mission Videos Stacy! Very much appreciated. We hope to keep getting your continued support for Memoria!

This is amazing, I love how your desire to reconnect with loved ones inspired this project. In our dreams, we have the ability to access our subconscious mind, which remembers everything. Can't wait to see what will be revealed with this amazing film!
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
There is so much more about world and about ourselves that we as humans have yet to understand. But thinking about the possibilities, is truly inspiring. Thank you for commenting Afzhal.
Loretta W. Posted 6 months ago
Trying to understand how the 'mind' works is such a challenging and interesting concept. Linking it to dreams and alzheimers makes it pertinent to us all.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
One way or another, we are all ultimately connected to it. Perhaps we shall never achieve full understanding, but what we can do, is to present interpretations and ways of thinking, which 'Memoria' will explore. Thank you Loretta. :)
Dahae S. Posted 6 months ago
I am really intrigued to see how dream, memory and reality will be connected and disconnected to one another- because dreams are not entirely realistic nor does it exist apart from the dreamer. This will be such a sophisticated movie.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
We hope to be sophisticated in the way that will connect with audience on a cerebral level. Everyone can relate to it in one way or another. Everyone dreams, everyone has memories, and many people are connected to other's who live with Alzheimer's. Thanks for commenting Dahae!

Love how they want to make awareness of a deadly disease. Lots of people who have personal experiences will be touched. Its a great concept and with all those awesome inspirations its sure to be a great film.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Dina. We hope that this film will connect with people of all walks of life, because at the very root of it, it is a human story that is being told.

All i can say is whoever has been inspired by the French artist MOEBUIS has my vote cus that artist has inspired many great directors and has redefined science fiction in a different manner. He was way ahead of his time when he was in the comic book genre.
Jeff R. Posted 7 months ago
Oh man, we here at team Memoria LOVE Moebius! The man was a visionary who, at his best, could create things that were totally unrestricted, that there were no limits. We tried to evoke a bit of Moebius feel in our illustrated poster (which I briefly mention in one of our tumblr posts), but his influence on us extends beyond just visuals.

So far so great! Realized my typo...ugh! *Quite* :)
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
It's so touching to see how this was inspired by real life events.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
I find that more and more of the people that I know personally would tell me how they are connected to such a topic. It is staggering to see just how many people have lived with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Ruxandra R. Posted 7 months ago
I like that this film is not about finding a cure but rather focusing on the emotional side of this disease, and it asks "what if" questions. I find this type of film best engages the audience and last forever. This will be a great and unique drama.
Maikol P. Posted 6 months ago
The possibilities I find are more interesting than the straightforward answer to the solution. It leaves more imagination to what could be done, making the experience much more engaging and rewarding for the viewer. Thank you for your thoughts Ruxandra! Keep watching for more!
