A long way to come for some inspiration, well worth it for any writer writing a western! Great job.
Rob N. Posted 6 months ago
I truly believe that your missions look to be some of the most professional. You have humor, style, but most importantly substance. Your missions do not seem thrown together like so many of the other teams. Good work Team West!
Michelle G. Posted 6 months ago
funny but a very well thought out video. Good job guys - I like that you've touched on how you inspired to tell the story but also what will make this story unique and relevant.
Gill R. Posted 6 months ago
This story does look interesting. I like how the trailer looks like a western and then changes as you reveal the more up to date setting.
Amy Z. Posted 6 months ago
All the footage is amazing, again. Your story is great. Hope I get to see it on the big screen!
Eric T. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Amy! Us too!

I keep forgetting this is based on a true events. How did you come across this true story?
Afzal H. Posted 6 months ago
I was wondering the same thing, how did you find this story? Was the story documented in 1935 or is it one of those undiscovered oral history?
Eric T. Posted 6 months ago
It's definitely documented (there were police murders, after all) but its a little known Canadian story. I came across it while doing historical research to find interesting movie material.

Good video guys! You packed a lot into 90 seconds! - The Dangers of Online Dating
Eric T. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks, Brianne. Good thing the producer interrupted... We could've gone on all day...

Hey guys, like how you tied in the script writing hanging over your heads. I'll bet there a number of teams (cough, cough, ours) in the same situation. Transmission

There's nothing like a deadline to get things done!
Brenda K. Posted 7 months ago

Excellent mission. Good looking flick!
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
Haha that was awesome! I look forward to seeing more from you guys! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Redmond O. Posted 7 months ago
I hadn't realized this is a true story. The history they teach us in school kind of gives the impression that Canadian history ended long before this era, and that the bulk of it happened south of the French River. There are some great prairie stories in the depression era.
Eric T. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks, Redmond. We're dedicated to creating awareness, but most importantly excitement, about Canada's past. This is a perfect story to do just that!
Colin T. Posted 7 months ago
I really like this time period and your story interests me very much. I like what you guys are doing. Been to heritage park many times as a kid, very cool.
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
Good luck on the script Joel! Really looking forward to seeing this, I love the idea of a 1930's western.

Aw man, I love Heritage Park!

Oh Heritage Park. Love that place. Hope you guys film some of the movie there.
Eric T. Posted 6 months ago
We'd love to!
Brent M. Posted 7 months ago
This looks awesome! Great energy and ideas, and funny, too. I noticed one of the clips from old westerns was of a Hollywood depiction of an Aboriginal person. Are there Aboriginal people in your story? That's one part of the western genre, particularly in a Canadian context, that could do with revisioning. You'd also think they might run across some Aboriginal people if they're crossing all of western Canada. Great work, just curious to know more. Cheers!
Eric T. Posted 6 months ago
Very prescient, Brent. While none of our main characters are aboriginal, we have inserted some aboriginal elements that they encounter on their cross-country journey, as you suggest. I hope that piques your interest...
Brent M. Posted 6 months ago
Awesome! Yeah, just curious. I thought that clip might have meant something . . . good stuff!
